  • New Warlock Minion - Shady Bartender

Lots of cheap ways of generating imps at the moment, this might be good with that. Sadly this isn't a demon itself.

  • New Demon Hunter Spell - Chaos Leech

If there are any nice control/combo decks with fel spells, this will be a good heal/removal to survive til the win condition.

  • New Demon Hunter Minion - Metamorfin

I appreciete the puns from blizzard but this does not feel strong enouhg to see play in demon hunter.

  • Rewards Track: Current progress 2.0

I'll be stopping at level 172, gonna save up my new weekly quests for the next expansion so I can zoom up the levels of the new battle pass. I'm disappointed that I couldn't clear level 200, but work prevented me from playing that much Hearthstone in the past expansion (that and the meta was very boring). I'll make that my goal again for the next battle pass cycle, and I'm sure I'll exceed it now.

I've accumulated close to 9000 gold, with 2,000 going to the mini-set so I'm currently sitting at 6,800. I'll use that to buy only 50 packs since I bought the standard bundle. I'll try to hoard as much gold as I can so I can avoid buying another bundle for the next expansion.

See you all at the next Rewards Track thread!

  • New Paladin Spell - Blessed Goods

Versitile card. Good generator in quest. Good in divine shield decks as well, although the choice there will most times be the divine shield.

  • Expansion Bundles should be available all year not just for Pre Orders

If you do not want to pull the trigger with uncertainty, you can wait for the meta to take form and buy a battle-ready deck. If any of the quests end up meta, you can just buy it for a twenty. I believe you can only buy one though, so keep that in mind.

  • New Druid Minion - Oracle of Elune

I think this has potential to be very strong. Bit expensive for agressive play but druid has ways around that.

  • Expansion Bundles should be available all year not just for Pre Orders

I'm really wondering wether I should last minute buy the cheaper bundle whilst I still can.

I feel like these quest cards will feature in many decks for some time and this is the only game i really play these days.Am I limiting myself by not purchasing the bundle when I can afford it.

  • New Mage Spell - Ignite

Infinite fire spells. Seems very strong with the new fire spell tutor.

  • New Druid Minion - Wickerclaw

My vote was on that it was going to be weak, but reading comments here seems mixed, maybe it'll be hard to kill and very agressive. Will simply have to wait and see.

  • Survive the United in Stormwind Launch! Day 1 Decks to Try, Freebies, and Everything You Need to Know About the Expansion

Just a Huge Shoutout to Echo and the rest of the content squad for putting together all these questline and card reviews. I haven't even gotten through all of them yet! I can see a lot of work (and math) went into creating these guides. It just goes to show how dedicated you guys are to this site and the game. Shows real passion and care, which certain other sites 👀 lack

Also thanks for featuring my deck and hope everyone's theorycrafting pays off today on launch!

  • Best Cards from United in Stormwind?

    Quote From PopeNeia

I personally feel Defend the Dwarven District is really overrated, it will probably be a good tier 2/3 deck until it gets more support from the miniset. Same with Battleground Battlemaster, because seriously, when has Windfury ever worked out (except the Doomhammer)

I'm coming around to this opinion as well with the Hunter quest. The payoff is incredibly powerful, but the class's scarcity of card draw would hold it back. It's still going to be competitive, but not a really broken deck (unless the meta becomes too slow, which seems unlikely).

  • Reviewing Hearthstone's New Paladin Cards Arriving in United in Stormwind

I believe the slower start will kill you before you get to take advantage of the reward in most games. While being able to press the button to get 2 3/3s every turn post-completion can most certainly wear even the greediest opponents down, it's getting to the point of completion that I think the deck will struggle with.

The requirement of running so many 1-drops means you're more likely to run out of steam faster while getting to the completion phase, and Paladin's lack of draw means it can't provide itself with the resources needed to go all the way.

Because of this, other tempo-focused decks will likely take advantage of the lack of initiative from you and kill you before the Questline is complete, and I imagine even more value-oriented decks are probably going to be able to go over top of you before you can get to the final reward (and probably still can even if you do so unless you complete the Questline earlier than average).

Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to messing around with this deck in the first week. I just can't see it being a meta contender in the long run.

  • United in Stormwind

    Quote From Me0203

We're usually wacky, but this is the weirdest round of predictions I've seen yet. (...)

It's not like we have a good track record to keep up with - we are usually pretty out of wack - consistent compendium, I'd say ^^

Indeed, great job everyone at OoC, you made yet an other fun & engaging reveal season

  • Bad Rat Pack - Theorycraft

Hope it is a bug. Its supposed to be the chosen one in hunter this expansion.

  • Demon Seed Speedrun | Guide and Theorycrafting Discussion

Oh wow thanks!!! This is my first guide so that's really encouraging :) You have some cool decks/guides too! I'm excited to try out your Gahz'rilla deck, I've had one for years but never found a good way to use it.

Those are really cool combo ideas that I never really considered to be honest! I wrote off Bloodbloom because of its post-nerf cost but you're right, it seems quite good with DOOM!.  I love the idea of being able to complete a quest stage in one go while clearing and drawing a bunch of cards, not to mention how outrageously powerful it becomes if you play it with a completed quest, empty deck, and full board. Malchezaar's Imp with Cataclysm is a neat idea too, particularly if you're running Sense Demons.

Thanks for the great ideas, glad you enjoyed the guide!!!

  • Survive the United in Stormwind Launch! Day 1 Decks to Try, Freebies, and Everything You Need to Know About the Expansion

I've got 3 packs from Ranked rewards and 12200 gold burning a hole in my pocket... 125 packs at launch here I come! (My previous all-time high for total packs during an expansion was 127 with Forged, so I'm pretty pleased with this total)

Now to make sure my Pity Tracker excel spreadsheet is ready...

  • Survive the United in Stormwind Launch! Day 1 Decks to Try, Freebies, and Everything You Need to Know About the Expansion

Congrats to Flux & the entire OOC content team for great coverage and analysis of the reveal season!!

  • Reviewing Hearthstone's New Paladin Cards Arriving in United in Stormwind

    Quote From Drenolds

I'm of the mindset that Questlines and aggression don't mix. One less card in the mulligan and passing on turn 1 despite being tempo-focused will, in my mind, almost certainly leave Questline Paladin dead in the water.

It really depends on the reward you're getting. The reason why aggro-tempo decks need to get on board quickly is because they tend to lose out on value and reload in the mid-late game so every damage in the early game counts.

In quest paladin, its kinda permissible to have a slower start because the end reward gives you 2 mana two 3/3s every turn. Even control decks cant deal with that. The only problem with quest paladin would be to stay alive, in my opinion, and the slower start is kinda made up by the ridiculous hero power.

  • Reviewing Hearthstone's New Priest Cards Arriving With United in Stormwind

Call of the Grave is certainly not a flashy spell, and does come with some problems of its own. But I think people are really underestimating what this card can do.

There's 36 deathrattles in standard, and there's about 8 bad/situational ones. That means its about 22% of the time you'll get 1 bad option out of 3. Most of the good deathrattles are around 4-6 mana. In other words, if you play this on 7 (6 if it gets discounted) you're very likely to get a decent deathrattle trigger. Even if you dont get the trigger, you're spending 1 mana to get an option at a later point in the game. That's still entirely reasonable.

Also, the shadow spell tag shouldn't be ignored neither. With Shadowcloth Needle and Psyfiend, its possible to deal a good deal of damage out with Voidtouched Attendant. All you need are cheap shadow spells and this is a cheap shadowspell.

  • Hearthstone Weekly Card Design Competition Season 3 Recap - Hearthstone Fan Community Spotlight

Pretty weak season for me, but the prompts were indeed very interesting. I'm satisfied with the couple of silver medals I managed to get and with reaching the finals almost every week.

I'll ditto linkblade and congratulate all winners :)

  • Bug: buy old adventures for gold

It worked for me on mobile! I still had to wait until the latter part of the loading process to change the time but it worked thank you so much!
