I really hope that not all of the Signature cards for this expansion end up being mechanized versions of the original cards.
At the risk of sounding like a meme, I unironically think it's unnecessarily confusing for new players. It looks like a Mech, but it doesn't function like a Mech, and Signature cards of this year don't have the minion types printed on the cards themselves.
I understand that for most people, the plot in ARPGs is secondary to the general gameplay and their precious endgame. I, however, want to enjoy the story too: we all usually end up running multiple characters through the campaign, after all, and I like games with solid narratives. Last Epoch had a rare opportunity to have an actually good story with a unique selling point, and so I brought up the ending to relate my disappointment that EHG might not care about their campaign as much as I might have.
This is where I would say something like "It's the journey, not the destination". I'm not racing to the grind that-is the typical ARPG endgame experience.
I like the design on the wrench. You can set it up like Necrium Blade and get full value, or you can play the Mini version and swing with it to get two immediate triggers.
Deathrattle Warrior? And two of them happen to be even? Why, don't mind if I do! I've had the idea of Spiritsinger Umbra + Trial by Fire for a while, but there wasn't anything supporting that, and having the option to go even is even (ha!) better. Probably won't be better than jank, but that's never stopped me.
Warlock is capable of some highly defensive builds and is often the best at healing, and now it has the harp that stops fatigue damage. I can see this working, but if it does work, it will be nerfed.
I can't help but LOL that anyone would play an ARPG for the story, and even more that they would be upset about the ending.
As for loot filtering, I've found that turning off common (white) stuff is really all that's needed. That's enough to get me through an entire map before I have to head to town, which I always do immediately after landing in the next zone. Occasionally I do have to leave one or two blue items behind, but that's not a big deal. All the extra sold loot really adds up, and oh my goodness I have a lot of gold now.
Treasure Distributor.10/10 the best card for aggressive pirate decks, very important in wild but in standard it will not see play until the second expansion of this year because according to the image of this year's expansions it is seen with a beach atmosphere and logically there will bemore pirates
I very much agree! The main example I can think of is the character passive trees: if, say, the Rogue, Bladedancer, Marksman, and Falconer trees were all one big tree, it would achieve the same thing...but be that much more intimidating to deal with. By breaking it down to manageable chunks, it becomes easier for people to understand and interact with the system in a successful way. It can still be a maze of choices if you want to really dive into it and learn how to maximize the trees, but it doesn't have to be.
Sentinel might be an even better example, because many Sentinel builds use skills from the various masteries in harmony. My Falconer doesn't do that - she's just straight Rogue -> Falconer (for now). But my Paladin Sentinel also has points in Void Knight and Forge Guard, plus a Void Knight "exclusive" skill, so you can build in a complex manner should you choose to do so.
I love the concept of this, but I think it will be hard to get strong value from. Once you Trade it into your deck, there's no telling when you'll see it again. You need to Trade and draw it multiple times for the AOE to be good enough.
Finally a Hero card for Death Knights! Ironic, considering the first round of Hero cards were "Death Knights" before the class existed. This looks really good and fun! I'm already playing Rainbow, and this should make the deck even more powerful.
Boom Wrench

There can be so many jokes made about Quality Assurance. Are you sure this card exists? Coz it seems this department doesn't in Team 5 😅

I was not expecting Mini on a weapon - that's pretty neat.

Sing-Along Buddy. For interesting combos like Value (Pulsing Pumpkins, Ascendant Scroll, Build-A-Beast, Galakrond's Wit and Galakrond's Guile) or just kill the opponent like (Ashfallen's Fury with Expendable Performers and Felfire Deadeye) (Steady Shot with Tavish, Master Marksman) (Pharaoh's Warmask) (The Four Horsemen with Garrison Commander)
Rumble Enthusiast. It's basically Altruis the Outcast but limited to only dealing damage to a random enemy character, total garbage
Nostalgic Initiate. Another yeti for 3 mana for rogue
Card Grader, Giggling Toymaker and Origami Frog. They are ok
Clearance Promoter. These types of cards that discount even just 2 spells are always good, I think it's good so that they are not as abusive as others
Forgotten Animatronic. The Card of '87

New Neutral Minion - Giggling Toymaker
Great card! Giggling Inventor was great, and this is cheaper, only the summons are delayed. I guess we'll never be rid of Annoy-o-Trons at this point!
New Neutral Minion - Nostalgic Initiate
I gave this 3 stars, but I think the mini version gets 4. At 3 mana plus casting a spell, it's not great. But a 1 mana version is nice.
New Neutral Minion - Origami Frog
This looks pretty good, but it's expensive! In the right scenario, it will be a great way to remove a threat.
New Neutral Minion - Wind-Up Musician
I love the concept of this, but I think it will be hard to get strong value from. Once you Trade it into your deck, there's no telling when you'll see it again. You need to Trade and draw it multiple times for the AOE to be good enough.
