I think this card's value comes from giving you an opportunity to potentially refill your board after using your mass removal. Just three procs of this minion's effect gives you up to six 2/1s to summons, and you will summon two on average.
Sadly, there is a lack of self-damaging cards as of right now in Standard, but still some, and some to be potentially revealed. Also note that is just has to take damage, so even if it instantly takes >=6 damage, it still shuffles two minions into your deck.
Did anybody expect something material from these emails? I bet any communication by Blizz, external or internal, is heavily scrutinized by their legal department first. In the end the courts will decide if it is really only old tales from the past as the second email is implying or not. Nothing more to say until the judgement arrives.
Aside from that it's not bad but I don't see how much you can do with this, feels like other 4 cost minions are more relevant to play than this. Not even buffing it in Pirate, Mech, Dragon Warrior seems worth it.

The Gloria Steinem namedrop makes the whole thing ring super fake. Maybe J. Allen Brack did honestly have this unverifiable conversation between him and Bobby Kotick where he brought her up, but the whole thing reads as "Of course I'm a feminist because I can Google who Gloria Steinem is."
He’s been great based on stats, he has 3 targets 2 spring paws and the other copy of Gryphon. He does a lot of things for this deck, 3 mana 4 damage removal is great for survival and board tempo while usually drawing a card is a nice bonus. Spring paw is actually the best card based on drawn winrate so it’s really powerful to get consistently. You can use it to feed Scavenging Hynena or Starving Buzzard draws 2 times, and it’s great with Serpentbloom.
I crafted Dreadscale recently and it’s been amazing, hunters generally lack board clears but he has won me so many games with Serpentbloom and because of the large amount of card draw you get that combo up somewhat consistently.

Don't you thing Diving Gryphon's battlecry is a bit wasted with only 1 other rush beast (Springpaw)? He's basically 3 mana removal as is. Maybe subbing Gryphon for something else... Or adding a small rush package.
It's just stats. You get vanilla stats for 4 mana then if you put a little extra work in and wait you can get a few extra stats. I just don't see why any deck would want to put in the time and effort to utilize this card.
Fran Townsend was a US Homeland Security advisor during the Bush era and was very much a torture/water boarding apologist. So it’s really disingenuous to have that ghoul speak for “values”

Now, if this was a static "If this has at least 4 attack, this gains rush", it would be incredible. Kind of a fine line and Blizzard erred on the side of caution, and this card will pay for it.
Is it obvious though? When the choices are: fire this highly-productive serial-harasser and lose his ability to make millions for our company, or just let him have his way with a few women (whom we don't value as much) and accept whatever lawsuits that come our way as a business expense?
Also company culture is a thing. Bosses may foster a bro culture if they think it'd make their subordinates more committed to the team. In this case excesses like sexual harassment could be seen as a tolerable by-product.

Women don't go to HR and have their complaints put on blast around the company without higher ups knowing. This isn't just a few bad actors.
