Pretty straight forward and easy to pilot.
Both games were wins, ending on T6

"We’ll see you (real players) in the tavern! And if you think about botting, we’ll see you, too."

Aww lame, it won't appear. It's the song "Cold As Ice" from Foreigner XD

  • Clockwork Card Dealer - Standard

Fun brawl for Quickdraw cards! I've had quite a bit of fun playing Rogue with Greedy Partner on 2, Bounty Wrangler on 3, Azerite Chain Gang on 4 and Wishing Well on 5. Making sure you have a second 2-cost card on 2 is a bit tricky, but I managed it by playing Door of Shadows on 1, while also having a couple Secrets in the deck.

On the off chance that you are here, you know that there are a few Saket Escort Service  numerous modest young ladies that anyone could hope to find for erotic sexual administrations. In any case, in the event that you are veritable and regal individual, you don't go for modest escort administrations.

  • Golden Hero Portrait - Completionist & Grind

First update of the year with the first goal for 2024 already in the bag: 1.000 wins with Priest! I would never have gotten there without the introduction of Darkbishop Benedictus, Shadow Priest just really clicks with me :-)

I've also managed to reach an optional goal for this year in January already by improving my best ever rank by more than 100:

I will now focus on Demon Hunter as that awesome 1.000 wins portrait is finally coming into reach. If I can keep up my pace from January, I'll get there next month!

  • Riot Details the Future of Legends of Runeterra - One More Set, Path of Champions New Focus, & More

I wouldn't call the Microsoft announcement "corporate gibberish." It's just very vague and non-specific. Perfectly understandable English, but you can sum it up as, "We're restructuring and firing some people," with a lot of other words that don't actually mean anything significant, and with no idea what the restructuring involves.

  • What Are You Playing? - February 2024

Hey anchorm4n, linkblade91 and Echo! <3 Thank you very much, had a wonderfull weekend and now I am back at normal day to day life now that the atendees are gone. At least until the Honeymoon.

As for gaming I was able to end that Empoleon Raid just in time during insomnia on Saturday. And also had lots of fun with the new roguelike mode Pokemon Masters EX introduced. It is a weekly thing and as I will not have an extra run no matter what I do, I play it really calmy and think about every battle wich is a nice change of phase from my more "Go for it!" attitude.

I will definitelly check out Spar! If it has that big of a playerbase there there must be a reason for it!

Also congrats Demonxz95 on completing  Factory Capers, that is really some smart use of space for the new rollercoasters

  • Twist February - Pauper Format

@thonson Yeah... Mana Wyrm has been around since before the first expansion.  WTF Blizzard?

*checks wild collection* I guess Legacy is excluded from Twist, and I never noticed?

  • Twist February - Pauper Format

So, about Dragons not being good enough...  (Early) #2 Legendary isn't good enough?  LOL

    https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/best-twist-legend-decks/

I feel like you might have been right to be excited about Undertaker, in so much as the Deathrattle mechanic makes for an easy starter shell while deciding what might be more fun to play.  For this reason, however, I'd be shocked to see it banned.

    Other than that.  No notes.

EDIT:  One more note.  Not sure if you knew this before writing, but...  Mech Warper is NOT banned!!!  There's a fun shell.

Hey @spanishhm! How about joining the fun of Buckshot Roulette? It would be awesome to have your positive energy in this exciting adventure!

  • What Are You Playing? - February 2024

Best of times in Africa, Echo.

I suppose these "What Are You Playing" threads technically never specified that the games had to be video games, haha. It'd be very funny if you taught the people there how to play Magic while you're at it with teaching them other card games.

Recently been reading through the Silo Series by Hugh Howey and it's been really good. Haven't gotten much into the third book since I just got it today, but read the first two in like, 3~ days and couldn't put them down for the life of me. Lots of suspense, great world building, unique world, big recommend if you are a fan of like, sci-fi/dystopian. It's also being turned into a TV show but don't know anything about it.

Also got around to reading the newest book from Sylvain Neuvel, 'For the First Time, Again' and it's a pretty weird situation. It's the classic "3rd book in a series that ended pretty well in the 2nd book" situation, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit. I can never tell if I love Neuvel's stuff because it's genuinely really good or if it's just because he somehow became my comfort author, but both I enjoyed both the Themis Files and the "Take Them to the Stars" quite a bit. More standard Sci-Fi stuff, though bit of alternate history mixed in and a whole lot more grounded compared to Silo.

Oh and on a completely different angle, recently also finished 'The Elephant Vanishes' by Haruki Murakami. I don't understand this guys writing and why its so enthralling because, to put it simply, he talks about the most painfully mundane stuff imaginable but at the same time you just cannot put it down. Its a collection of a bunch of short stories that are all really nice, but I don't think I can ever like explain them in a way that does his writing style justice. For example

    Show Spoiler
One of the stories in Elephant Vanishes is this guy who mows lawns, but wants to retire. He takes one last request from the of his boss and mows this lawn of an old widow. The widow makes a comment about how he did a great job and reminded her of her diseased husband. She shows her daughters bedroom and asks what the guy thinks about her daughter. Thats it, that's the story.
I've loved all of Murakami's writing but I don't think I can ever do them any justice by just talking. HUGE recommendation, for Elephant Vanishes I'd just recommend reading like, 3-4 of the stories and you should be able to tell if Murakami's writing will be able to stick its claws in you the same way it has for me.

  • What Are You Playing? - February 2024

    Congrats on getting married!

Since I'm going to be in Africa for the next 27 months, don't think I'm gonna be able to get much video games in so I'mma stretch the intentions of this thread a bit hehe. Brought a couple decks of cards here (Ghana) and it's been a very neat experience. The people here, for whatever reason, mostly only know one card game called Spar. So been playing a bunch of that and slowly teaching people in my village how to play other card games like Texas Hold em or Tycoon. Don't know if any of you have like, board game nights/friends to play something like Tabletop Simulator, but definitely would recommend trying out Spar for just how quick and easy to learn it is to play. To say its popular here would be a huge understatement (I'm trying to google the rules to link it but my internets really chugging right now and not cooperating sorry D:). There's also this weird like, Sorry!-esque board game I've been playing but I don't have the foggiest clue what to call it nor all the rules to describe it, but that one's fun too.

Oh, and I guess I also still have Marvel Snap on my phone and still trying to somewhat keep up with it. Been playing probably the worst deck ever conceived of just every conditional 10 power card and Skaar and just preying on the fact nobody expects the 3rd/4th 10 power 4 drop. Don't recommend trying it if you want to rank but winning with proper garbage like Attuma has been pretty fun.

  • Twist February - Pauper Format

According to Hearthstone Top Decks the two “meta decks” are a Tempo Jade Rogue with buffs, no spell damage package, and “Dragon Warrior”.  I use quotes because it’s really just Control Warrior, but the best cards for controlling the board are dragons or dragon related.  Warrior has no class dragons, and the only class card in the deck related to dragons is the 3 mana “get two random dragons” spell.

But I would agree, there are a lot of options.  I beat the meta Rogue deck with a Dragon Priest deck, again… most of the dragons are neutral and are used mostly as board control.  I think I managed to beat the meta Warrior deck with a Face Hunter, just hit them hard and fast before they can use the bigger taunts.  I want to do a Tempo Undertaker Priest, with Embalming Ritual and things like Sandstorm Trooper and the wraith with the same DR as Trooper.  Just win the board, but also make it so if they clear they take big damage.  With Grave Ruin in the format as well you can try to spawn even more copies of those.  Could be fun!

  • Top Videogame Soundtracks: The Ultimate Anthems of Gaming

This is 100% written by AI according to every site I've used that checks for that kind of thing.  Now you're gonna lie?

  • Twist February - Pauper Format

I hadn't even considered that; it's certainly going to make Twist a lot harder to get into and vice versa.

I haven't played a lot of the format, but here's some early thoughts:

I've seen a lot of Lackey generators; Lackey Warlock (with EVIL Genius and EVIL Recruiter) in particular looked fun.

It's been neat to see a lot of cards that either I've not seen in a while or which never caught on in earlier formats (the aforementioned EVIL Recruiter being one of them).

The decks I've played so far have been UnderToken Druid (turns out that a lot of good Token Druid cards have Deathrattle, so Undertaker is a really clean fit in the archetype - Rat Sensei is MVP), Pirate/Oil Rogue (this is a weird deck I've tried multiple builds of but had a lot of fun with); and good ol' Aggro Shammy. I'm nowhere near cracking the meta, and I'm fairly convinced that most of the decks I've faced are better than the junk I'm running.

Overall, the meta feels diverse and there's not anything that I've seen that feels too powerful - but it's only been a few days and I've played maybe twenty games total if you discount tune-up games where I was testing janky builds of Pirate Rogue.

  • Hearthstone Patch 28.4.1 Patch Notes - Velarok, Thaddius, Pendant of Earth & More Nerfed

it shouldnt have to be a "just for fun" archetype, its only made that way because blizzard would rather cowtow the demands of little babies pissing and shitting their diapers because their favorite card got milled than actually expect those people to play better and learn the matchup so that they lose less. i expect to be able to play it because competently balanced video games dont make huge sweeping balance decisions based on what is fun, they do it based on what is fair.

  • Hearthstone Patch 28.4.1 Patch Notes - Velarok, Thaddius, Pendant of Earth & More Nerfed

the players that enjoy the cards that they print that support mill deserve to be able to play them at the same level as everyone else. i genuinely could not care less if people dont enjoy playing against mill, if they wanted to enjoy it then they should have played better and beat me. im not even against nerfing mill druid, doubling the mana cost is just ridiculous. the design philosophy of nerfing things because some shitty players think they arent fun is braindead. in that case, we should nerf control warrior and control priest into the ground. hell, we should nerf every control deck. who wants to play against a deck whose entire purpose is to slow the game down every step of the way?

do you see how stupid this logic is?

  • Hearthstone Patch 28.4.1 Patch Notes - Velarok, Thaddius, Pendant of Earth & More Nerfed

just because you suck at beating mill decks doesnt mean everyone else does. i have no problem playing against mill decks because ive played and understood them for years now. i would say get better at the game instead of expecting blizzard to compensate for your shortcomings by nerfing every deck that requires you to think about the matchup, but apparently they'll just do that for you.

  • Hearthstone Patch 28.4.1 Patch Notes - Velarok, Thaddius, Pendant of Earth & More Nerfed

fucking nuts that this site still has a like/dislike system so everyone that isnt sucking off blizzards terrible design decisions gets downvoted into the negatives by all the sweaty battlegrounds players who care more about whether or not they're having fun every single match they play than they do about whether or not a deck is actually unfair or not. thank you for actually giving a fuck

  • Twist February - Pauper Format

To be fair, I think they care about Twist more than we think.  I mean, they did ban Caverns Below during the latest Twist run due to it being a power outlier.  I would also assume they won't ban any cards, but only because they didn't see anything as being a big power outlier this time around.  And if a card gets banned midseason it would have to be a VERY big power difference, otherwise they'll likely leave it since the entire meta should change come March.

The biggest problem this session is that a few cards aren't being included in the card pool like they should if you don't have the Caverns of Time copy (Snipe and Mana Wyrm).  Not a huge deal, but it is a little bothersome since it was my understanding that regardless of the set version, if a card was legal in a format you could use the card.  So despite Basic set not being included, these Basic cards are in CoT.  So even if I don't have the CoT versions, shouldn't I be able to use the Basic (Legacy) versions?  Again, no big deal this time around, but in the future someone who invested in CoT and got some legendaries they otherwise don't own might get fucked over if they don't include CoT, and a legendary that should otherwise be legal is suddenly not useable for that player.  If they don't correct this, it could mean bad news for future Twist/Wild sets with reprints, making people less likely to buy into them.
