Well the fact that Team 5 are now appending an epic as a semi exclusive pre-order reward just goes to show pre-order sales have dropped substantially but it could just be a 10 year anniversary reward. Lets hope...
While I don't care about this particular card associated with the pre-orders, it could turn into a legendary and a good one for future expansions. It'll create a lot of feel bad moments for those 5 weeks before the expansion release.
i dont know why blizzard is allowing some fucked up AI to make all their death knight design decisions for them but at least doomguard and giants are back : )
Having preorder provide an exclusive card, even if on a limited timeframe, is just a poor move in my opinion.
The game itself is already going on a downtrend as it is. If ever these limited cards be part of the meta it'll almost certainly piss a large segment of the population off. Whether correct or not, no one likes to see others getting a headstart on new stuff.
They're exclusive for 5 weeks. If they do this for every expansion, that's 15 weeks per year, or about 30% of the time. If they'd do it for minisets as well, the exclusivity period could go up to or over 50%.
Neither of the cards are exclusive to the pre-order.
If you pre-order the expansion, you get to play with Corridor Sleeper before the expansion launches, but when it does launch, you'll still be able to craft it and open it from packs.
I'm not a fan of pre-order exclusive cards. It's fine with me if it's an exclusive cosmetic or a free card that can also be crafted, but if an exclusive card ever becomes meta-relevant, we'd be in a pay-to-win situation. I'm certainly not going to pre-order this time, because I don't want to reward this strategy.
If anyone wants to try Colifero the Artist, you can use this deck before the Clockwork Dealer brawl ends:
Huh, looks like Tarim got afflicted with the Curse of Flesh.
Don't really like the fact that you get a card early if you pre-order. Card doesn't look amazing, but it's still scummy. At most it should be a Common or Rare, so it's easy to craft.
That was usually the totem you most wanted to roll as Shaman way back, to hit higher breakpoints with Lightning Bolt or Lightning Storm. There was a reason most people referred to the replacement with Strength Totem as a nerf.
Wrath of Air Totem back? Yup! We want to celebrate Hearthstone's history with this core set, and Wrath of Air Totem felt like a part of that history worth celebrating.
Why, exactly, is a bad card (that's not even a real card) worth celebrating? Should we also celebrate Angry Chicken? Both of these are iconic for being bad, nothing more.
Correct. You will lose access to all of your current Core cards if they are not part of the new Core set. Patchwerk is out, so if you didn't have a "real" copy, you will no longer have access to the card. The golden copy you got as a reward was a Core card, not a "real" card.
On the bright side, you will automatically get golden copies of all DK Core cards that are rotating in.
Rotation never happens in a vacuum -- there's always a new expansion involved. Departing cards are often replaced with new cards that perform a similar function. We could easily see new Rogue Secret synergy, and I'd be extremely surprised if Druid doesn't get new ways to ramp.
After that answer, Catrina and Spellstone definitely indicate more resurrection stuff this year. And since Chirurgeon was part of that response, I’m definitely thinking some sort of pirate theme set two. Maybe Hooktusk leading a crew on a hunt for buried treasure on a remote island
A friend of mine gets his weed from them. They also make weed delivery halifax so that's where he gets it from. From what he tells, it is pretty quality product.
The Harth Stonebrew card and the class gift cards have been revealed and while nothing looks OP, I'd say Warlock, Warrior and Shaman are definitely something I'll consider adding to my decks. Harth's card is probably garbage, but it has a new text line: "(Once per game)" - imagine the devs applying that to Time Warp and Ice Block!!
The rune changes for DK are so awesome! My only worry is that I might lose the golden Patchwerk I got for reaching 500 wins with the class due to the Core set rotation. Can someone confirm or deny this?
Other than that, the Rumble cards look neat, imagine combining the new legendary with Paladin's aura spells...

I made a Colifero Hunter deck too! It's a Questline Hunter that has Colifero the Artist as a surprise-lethal arrangement. 100% winrate...in Bronze lol

Hey alright, I called the toy flavor! Love it! 😁 Customizing a Zilliax is an awesome design, and Miniaturize is a cool keyword.
...I guess I'm sticking around for another expansion.

I love that even smaller cards are getting a callback. Amateur Puppeteer for example features the same character as Mistress of Mixtures

(Also, Splish-Splash Whelp isn't going anywhere. Dragon Druid was ramping just fine without Wild Growth.)
