Hmm this is basicly a faster and better The Boogeymonster. Sure Lothar attacks a random minion, but it does attack the turn you play him, which is so good. Also Lothar works very well in BIG warrior decks, which i hope can make a return.
Lothar is also strong in control warrior decks, but honestly i feel like he's often going to be a worse Troublemaker, considering most (mainly aggro) decks have multiple minions on board. But still if your opponent doesn't remove Lothar, he can really become a giant nuisance... And thats it, considering Troublemaker at least builds a board of minions if it doesn't get removed.
Honestly when i first saw Lothar i was very excited, but after looking into similar cards i'm honestly quite baffled how this is a legendary effect these days, when Troublemaker basicly does the same job, and you can add 2 of them in your deck. Sure Lothar is playable 1 turn earlier, but still Lothar after trading is often quite weakend and easy to remove. Oh and Venomous Scorpid will probably be played often as well, so you also have to basicly babysit Lothar to make sure he doesn't attack a poisonous minion.
I'm stuck with paladin achs especially with only standard decks as i have no wild cards but some of legacy...
About Between you and me: i'm using wandmakers for all secrets and best bet is when they drop desperated measures (2 random secrets!) also i put 2 scorpid and 2 steward of scroll for same purpose.
Another way is to use educated elekk and silas in a wombo combo to give oppo secrets, let it die and then use horde operative to proc [Source]
I'm still on it, if you come up with better ideas this will be very appeciated as, again, no wild cards here
thanks in advance
If you really only have Standard cards to use then I think there's no better options. Hope wandmaker gives you enough stuff and then pray for a good outcome
I'm a bit unfamilliar with the wording. So first u will draw a rush minion, and then taunt and ds right. What happened when theres no rush left in the deck? Will he not draw the taunt and ds?

UPDATE (just now): I was able to proc all 5 secrets with this deck 1 first try just when i made some changes:
The assumption that the deck is that overload heavy may or may not be right. The neat thing about this having tradeable is that you can get away with having a smaller number of big overload cards, and just keep this if you actually have those around. Saying that another way: it won't ever become a dead card like build-around cards usually do, so you don't have to go so hard into building around it.
I also don't believe that you'd want hold onto this in every scenario besides imminent death. Dealing 3-6 damage just isn't always important. If the opponent stabilised and is sitting on 20+ health, you might need to dig for a different win condition.
The bad thing about it is that it bad late game, because you might have draw most of your divine shield, rush and taunt minions already. But regardless it's 8 mana 7/7, draw 3 cards, gain rush, divine shield and taunt. That's so good.
Decks it might fit in standard: Libram Paladin, N'zoth Paladin, Control Warrior, N'zoth Warrior, and a bunch more. (n'zoth decks really like Varian, King of Stormwind.)
In wild i'm not sure it sees play, because games generally end before turn 5.
Even without tradeable it was a very good card. Deleting overloaded mana was already enough, but doing damage equal to the overloaded mana crystals? I mean, just do perpetual flame on a full board and you get a 1 mana deal 7 ! AND ITS TRADEABLE? That's a god tier card who will be played in every deck that has a little overload cards. And this is enough to see an overload archetype pop up as meta crusher deck.
I already smell the op overload cards coming, do you too guys?
I doubt it. If you have this card in your deck at all its because your deck is composed largely of overload cards, in which case its nearly impossible to not regret trading this for another card at some point in the game. Its a bit like having Rustrot Viper in your hand while playing against shaman or dhunters, yes you can trade it for another card but why the hell would you?
Besides which, there's a genuine chance this card just deals 3-6 damage off 1 mana, and cards like that I will keep in my hand in all scenarios except if Im literally dying the following turn and have no other options available.
Edit: I should add that there is a chance that you have this card in your deck simply for the 1 mana draw, in which case I would have to agree with your assessment.
Ignoring Perpetual Flame memery What actual use does this have in Standard?
Shaman really doesn't overload nearly as much as they used to and despite this being very good I can hardly see myself using this in any existing Shaman deck (or any future ones for that matter).
There would have to be a really overpowered card with Overload (5) to justify this.
On the flipside, every Overload card in the future becomes more playable because of this.
The only deck i can see it getting played in is honestly Celestial Alignment druid, for other decks it might be a bit akward to slot it in considering it costs 8 mana.
That card is more than good. it's Lava Shock on a stick and will get nerfed at some point. To me this looks like one of, if not THE strongest card i have seen this reveal season. (Aggro/Elemental) Shaman is already strong and has some spells that overload enough to make this card a stable, especially for 1 mana and we havent even seen the whole new set. Who knows what kind of overload support they have in store for us.
Thank you all for your feedback! While the majority seems to prefer Lil'idan, I feel way more comfortable with Mechnapper. The flavor wasn't immediately clear to everyone, so I've zoomed in on the art, that hopefully helps. Now I'd be very grateful for some help with the balance. Some of you said it's too weak and wouldn't see play, so I made another version that steals a Mech with up to 3 Attack. Which one is better? Any other ideas regarding the stats? Should it be cheaper?
Looks like Zilliax makes the whole difference, but that card was run in nearly every deck as long as it was in Standard, so yeah, maybe it's worth it to go to 3 Attack.

Arkasaur
I still like it. Doesn't it miss a "random" in the text though? I'm curious what the others have to say about Rush. It's a tough decision.
R
Cunning Tidehunter is cool, btut I'd lower the Cost and the stats a bit. Tidefin Murloc is too strong imho. Library Magicfin has the worst art of them all and a very small pool (lol) to discover from. I'd go with Cunning Tidehunter.
Demonxz95
Both are solid design, but I think Glazier Crystalfin can be used in more decks, so that's the one I'd go with.
shatterstar 1998
I like the Discover version of the Tradeable card. It's quite strong, but you probably can't abuse it because it gets shuffled into your deck when you trade it. Nice idea! Murgatha isn't something I'd go with because the art and the name are already in the game and the effect is just too strong for my taste.
Wailor
Tough decision since both are very cool. I'm a big fan of simple designs and I think Neutral cards might perform better in this comp so I'd go with Pearl Seeker.
Lundy
Tirion is super cool, but it misses Taunt. As sad as I am to say this, Broodmother has better flavor though.
Neoguli
Cool card, I like it!
Cheese
Nice idea, but I agree with the others that using a BG card might cost you points. Can't really contribute something about the balance since I don't play BG.
AeroJulwin
I still like it, but I'd cut the part about the enchantments because that makes it unnecessarily complicated. That would make it a Soul of the Murloc on a stick but that's fine for me.
That's fairly obvious. What I meant was that its essentially a 10/10 that destroys a minion (and then take damage) because if there was even a chance that Lothar would run himself to his death no one would play him out.
This weirdly feels like an old-Hearthstone card. Like it should be in The Grand Tournament or something. It has that air of "Classic WoW character, very slow effect. Seems fun, but will do amazing things in one Trolden video and nowhere else."
You might as well just rub that 'tradeable' keyword out of sight because what fool will ever trade this for a card when its literally the one thing shaman has been screaming for since Whispers of the old gods.
You'd want to trade it away if you don't have any/much overload in hand to work with. It's good, but still situational, making it perfect to have the tradeable keyword.

New Shaman Spell - Overdraft
Off the top of my head: Lightning Bloom, Lightning Bolt, Serpentshrine Portal, Doomhammer.
You don't even have to play it for damage, even the unlocks have good value. Plus it's also tradable, so you can easily cycle this for a better play.

New Warlock Spell - Demonic Assault
Hmm honestly these days you would think an effect like this costs 3 mana instead.
But still it's 2/6 worth of stats AND it deals 3 damage. Probably will see play in control warlock, maybe as a 1 off.
In wild it probably wont see play. The only deck that might experiment with it is renolock. Darkglare wont use it.

hmm very highrolly card.
Seems interesting with cards such as Survival of the Fittest, Cenarion Ward and Celestial Alignment stuff.
But it can only super lowroll with cards like Innervate and Lightning Bloom.
