Seeing we got a Voidwalker sandwich,
    Now it's a PARTY!

  • New Warlock Spell - Demonic Assault

I think 2/6 worth of stats is already a vanilla 4 drop. Put  the stats on two taunt minions and add in 3 damage that can go  anywhere and this turns into a decently valued card.

  • New Druid Minion - Sheldras Moontree

I think this will be one of those legendaries that looks incredibly strong based solely on the effect but turns out to not work in a viable deck. Maximum value means running only big spells that don't need a target. Druid doesn't really have a game plan that relies on low cost control minions to wait for the big spells to come in. Maybe it can be made to work with Primordial Protector decks. I didn't watch the reveal, do we know if the  Cast When Drawn mechanic will also serve to corrupt cards in hand?

  • New Priest Spell - Call of the Grave

I like this card. I think it  will give plenty  of options in how it can be played. Probably the real limiting factor here is how many deathrattle cards there will be that it can pull from.

  • New Hunter Spell - Rats of Extraordinary Size

Works great with The Rat King. May be a good card if built around the token synergy but can't be fit in just any deck.

  • New Hunter Minion - The Rat King

I don't think this will fit in the current existing archetype of face hunter but may help the return of a new archetype (i.e midrange).

This makes me think of a slower but persistent Imprisoned Vilefiend. This needs token support though to get the most mileage, Kolkar Pack Runner, Sin'dorei Scentfinder, Wolpertinger, and Adorable Infestation first come to mind.

  • New Warlock Spell - Demonic Assault

Its interesting, for sure, but it looks like its trying to hit all the boxes while maybe missing the marks.
Warlock has plenty of removal, and voidwalkers aren't exactly expansive to start with
I'm not sold on this one

Looking forward to the crazy combos people use this for in wild. Can't wait.

Give it a week top, after release, and someone will find a way to break the game with this

  • New Priest Spell - Call of the Grave

Seems very good, maybe even too good .. (1) mana!
Only (1) mana to discover and generate a card, and possibly its effect twice

  • New Hunter Minion - The Rat King

5 mana 5/5, commit a slot of your board for the rest of the game
Not sure, but at least intrigued

  • New Druid Spell - Kodo Mount

Hmmm, I'm unsure of how good this is.

On one hand, this is amazing to Lake Thresher and especially Blademaster Samuro. Practically a guaranteed clear.

On the other hand, the disadvantages I see:

    • 4 mana is alot. This is on top the mana cost you play on the minion you will rush. Unless you ramped a lot, this can be very limiting. Of course, this can be played on a minion on board, but you lose value on the rush.
    • The second body might not be as useful as it looks. Unless you can kill the buffed minion (1st body), you won't get a lot of value on the second body. If the minion survives to the opponents turn, you lose the rush value plus 2 health is not difficult to deal with.

Overall, the card is IMO is great on very specific situations but not in general.

  • New Hunter Spell - Rats of Extraordinary Size

That's a very different take on the rat pack - love'in it

  • New Priest Spell - Call of the Grave

Discovering a Deathrattle minion is eh, but potentially proc it too? That's what pushes it to 5 star tier, you're running this in every priest deck.

  • New Druid Spell - Kodo Mount

    Quote From Me0203

I did just realize that these mount spells leave Deathrattles on their minions... that might be fun to exploit sometime!

You are on to something, and like Bob would say '' I like where you are going with this ''

  • New Warlock Spell - Demonic Assault

Interesting; slightly defensive Flanking Strike with the 2 1/3 taunts, though unlike Flanking Shot this can go face. Plus gets more value out of Wicked Whispers. I can also see this being in Control/Questline Warlock just for the double taunts.

  • New Druid Minion - Sheldras Moontree

Scary is probably an understatement for this guy. Though I don't think Cast When Drawn procs the Corruption of Carnival Clown, casting Survival of the Fittest or Cenarion Ward for free is still the nuts.

  • New Priest Spell - Seek Guidance

I guess Blizzard didn't like people playing C'Thun, the Shattered to beat control vs. control matchups, so they printed a Rube Goldberg win condition that actually has consistency compared to other control win conditions. Control Warrior has use an obscure combo as a win condition, while Priest gets a more consistent wincon neatly packaged into one card that always starts in your opening hand and doesn't hinder your play (in fact, the discovery might actually help it).

That said, I feel like there's merit to the idea of a deck that isn't control, but instead focuses very hard on this questline as their wincon: drawing their entire deck while controlling the board, kind of similar to a Mecha'thun deck playstyle. I think something like that could actually be interesting.

Or this card will just become unbelievably painful to play against and Priest's amount of generation (even post-nerf) will bring this card into general viability. If it wasn't bad enough that they've generated a million heals and removals, they can also help progress the questline.

I wonder if Blizzard realises they're printing the most annoying and obnoxious cards for Priest almost exclusively.

  • New Druid Legendary Revealed for United in Stormwind by Kripparrian - Sheldras Moontree

I mean sure this card would be better at 7 mana... but hey then you would face same decision but with whatever 7 drops you are running

On its face, looks like a card that won't be very fun to play or play against. If this card does see play, maybe players are able to figure out a way to complete it while still playing a two-person game, but it does not seem like this card is doing a good job at incentivizing more than a one-person "play this card, then this card" game. A very good thing there are cards like Tickatus and Mutanus to counter it, otherwise the only way to interact with this deck would be to kill it. Probably too slow for ladder, but I have a feeling we will see this in competitive Hearthstone.

  • New Warlock Spell - Demonic Assault

Its a bit expensive to be honest. Dealing 3 damage and getting two annoying taunts is a very decent result for 4 mana, but suffers slightly from getting that elusive deck slot and the fact that 1/3 taunts are fairly easily eaten up by just about anything and hardly does any damage themselves.

Its not unplayable, but definitely meta dependent for inclusion.

  • New Priest Spell - Seek Guidance

Most certainly the strongest Questline so far.
Tempo/Control Priest, seems viable ... sadly, as it is terribly slow, in a class that excels at long games
Who needs C'thun if you have Purified Shard, or vice-vers-ça ?

  • New Warlock Spell - Demonic Assault

Love the artwork on this one!

It’s nice that the damage can go face, or even hit your own face if you’re doing the self-damage quest. But 4 mana is too much for 3 damage. I doubt the voidwalkers are going to be helpful enough to balance this card out where you will want to run it in your deck.

I would play it in arena though.

Does nobody remember Sherazin, Corpse Flower? Same idea, but a much better card overall. Sherazin didn't see much play, but this might.
