Obviously I can't speak for everybody, but I love this brawl. I love the crazy combos that people can come up with (i.e. Snowfury Giant or Patches the Pirate ) and that there are specific ways to counter them. If you particularly hate a deck, you can find a way to counter it usually.
grumpymonk Shado Conjurer is a nice idea, but I'm lacking the imagination for suitable targets right now. Cincaria has super cool art, where did you find that? The effect is really nice, too - annoying, but not too strong. Do you intend to reveal the left/right-most card of your opponent or do we have to choose blindly? That is Stelina's truely useful aspect imho, you get to peek at your opponent's hand.
@Demonxz95 - I'm a fan of Saint of Order. It's admittedly very similar to Armor Vendor, but control decks definitely need more of those to combat aggression and even have a chance to succeed in the meta.
Oh, those. The Sun Discs were related to the last event, yes, collected via wins and quests for progressing along the rewards track. Just like the Spirit Blossom event, if you were around for that one.
I think a Pentakill event would be pretty cool, though my worries for Pentakill and KDA are the same. None of the champions are in Runeterra yet, so if we are getting cards like we did last time, it would be hard to fit them without making them out of place. The champions themselves don't have enough diversity and they can't fit into all regions, KDA's cards were rather forced like Ahri's Feel The Rush because Akali's Go Get It had already filled the Ionia spot, and then they left two other regions completely without a new card. The cards themselves weren't bad but the name felt like they could've been easily replaced. I just hope they can make a new card that doesn't sound as dumb as Go Hard.
The red currency is Essence, which you use to make cards Prismatic. If you've played Hearthstone, this is the equivalent of golden cards: you're making them shinier, essentially, to show off your preference for that particular card or whatever. It costs 700 to make a champion Prismatic, with the other card tiers costing considerably less. If you don't like the look of them, you can turn off the Prismatic while editing a deck.
The new boxes tie directly into this, in-that you're upgrading a card to Prismatic for free. When you open a Prismatic rewards chest, you get to pick between three options. These chests can upgrade just like regular card chests, meaning you could theoretically get an Epic or Champion Prismatic from a smaller box (although that last one cannot come from Common Prismatic chests, apparently).
Lastly, in regards to Essence, we know that champion skins are on their way in some capacity, and may require Essence to purchase them, so...hold off on spending your Essence until we know more, if that interests you.
The hero levels, or Champion Mastery, is like achievement points for your champions. As you play with them in non-Lab situations, you gain experience: gain enough, and the champion gains a level. Higher levels come with flashier badges, and potentially other rewards down the line. IIRC your opponent can see your Mastery badges, telling them to some extent how experienced you are in running that deck/champion.
As for the Expedition-token lookalikes, I'm not sure what you mean so I'll need you to clarify to answer that one :P
Not really. If other strong classes are experimenting more successfully than Mage, what I said still holds. And I do believe Paladin, for example, has plenty of room to experiment because the class overall has extremely strong tools.
Experimentation in classes that were weak before the nerf would not really affect Mage's relative win rate.
I personally prefer Ghoulraiser, but it might be a bit too complex. Saint of Order is fine, but giving Divine Shiled to a hero is something we haven't seen yet, so I'd probably make it a Rare or an Epic. Not sure if this makes it worth it to re-do the card, however.

The new version of Chaotic Notetaker seems much better. I'd say it's good to go.

I liked the previous flavor and art better than the new one, even if this is more connected to the expansion (especially considering many Scholomance spells had a very vanilla flavor, so it wouldn't feel out of place).
I imported my brawl deck for this week, but while I could tell the Deckbuilder that it is a Tavern Brawl deck, I couldn't tell it which brawl it is for. I'm pretty sure this feature existed before and it is probably required for the site to suggest decks for the current brawl.
That theory really only holds true if you believe that mage is the sole class that's experimenting. Give it a week to shake down but essentially the totals are accurate enough at first unless someone 'discovers' a new meta deck down the line (has happened before).

For me, what counters both these decks is Lightning Bloom , Toxfin and Firemancer Flurgl . Doesn't counter the Mage Refreshing Spring Water deck, though I haven't run into that often.

Is a Pentakill-Themed Event in Legend of Runeterra's Future? Let's Discuss!
The next event is most likely Pool Party, since TFT's next event is going to be Pool Party.
It would also make sense skin-wise. We have a quite a bit of Pool Party (as LoL skinline) champions.

Can't believe I forgot about Armor Vendor. No idea how since I see that card a lot, lmao.

Is a Pentakill-Themed Event in Legend of Runeterra's Future? Let's Discuss!
I was mostly indifferent to the KDA cards, K-Pop is just not my cup of tea but I did not hate it.
Being a metal fan I do like Pentakill but I would still prefer a lore themed event.

Thx. I thought the box gave me a choice of three cards (just got one) so I kind of screwed up lol.
As for the expedition look alike circles. I think it was tied to the last event.

Won some games with ETC broomstick and athletic studies. Until I faced a degenerate deck that was running snow fury giants. And after that I was done.

First, what are those red currency things?
Also, what are hero levels and why should I care?
What are those new boxes?
Also what are those things that look like Expedition tokens?
THx.
