Wonder if there's gonna be a MS presence at Blizzcon this year. Regardless, I just hope all Blizzard games improve and maybe, just maybe MS will push Blizzard to release Warcraft 4 and Starcraft 3 🤞
Well; at the very least it means stability since Microsoft isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Maybe Battlenet will become standard with future Windows releases. Might also increase the chances of more cross platform experiences. Hearthstone on the XBox seems likely.
In most Super Mario games, the player controls Mario as he navigates side-scrolling levels filled with obstacles, enemies, and power-ups. Mario can defeat enemies by jumping on top of them or by using power-ups, such as the Super Mushroom that grants him a larger size or the Fire Flower that allows him to throw fireballs.
First impressions: base mechanics feel a lot like Stellaris, which is not surprising, as it uses the same engine. There is a more coherent story to it though: part of that is because there is a strong established lore, but there also seem to be more chained events compared to Stellaris' mostly self-contained events. Additionally, there is a mission tree that contains tasks for you to complete to progress both story-wise and in unlocking buffs.
The progression being more scripted might hurt replayability in the long run, but there are different stories for each of the four playable factions (Federations, Klingons, Romulans and Cardassians) and different paths you can take for each faction, so I think there is enough game in there. For example, as the Federation you can welcome all new civilizations and try to make them Federation members, or you can develop Section 31 (spy agency) and keep an eye on them from a distance, but not both.
Being a Stellaris veteran myself, figuring out the mechanics was not hard, but I can imagine the learning curve is a lot steeper if you come in to it fresh. There is a built-in assistant, but that only explains what each menu is about; it doesn't help you if you never think of opening a particular menu because you didn't even know it existed.
It definitely plays on the same slow scale as Stellaris: I'm now 5 hours in and I think I'm approaching the mid-game. I'm playing pretty slow though because I'm pausing a lot to read everything; I expect to go through it a lot faster the second time. But it's not the kind of game that you play through in a single day unless you make it a marathon session.
This list, still good! In fact, since the last time this brawl came up, Soul of the Forest was buffed from 4 mana to 3. But you just want to create treants or have a big board you can silence with Wailing Soul, then buff and go face!
I tried this out because I wanted to buy some weed - and my experience was terrific. I wish I can find a place to buy CBD Paste now. That would be perfect for me.
Going through all the RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 parks, and I'm getting super close to beating all of them.
Oh wow I am doing the same right now! But nowhere as close to finishing. Got into the first and third one last month.
Finished replaying Assassins Creed 2 right as October Started.
Also Payday 3 came out some weeks ago and I have been playing that a lot too, really enjoying the gameplay. The servers were crap during the first days but it seems to be fixed now. Almost dropped it during those days.
Other than that I have been trying lots of games from my backlog but none stuck with me yet.
"Marvels Avengers" (Felt Repetitive), "New Tales from the Borderlands" (Did not really enjoy the first chapter), "Shadow Warrior 3" (Finished this one, but it is short).
And probably gonna try Shadow of the Tomb Raider next (Got it a long time ago but my pc could not run it during that time)
Lastly still playing my F2P games, Pokemon Masters EX and Hearthstone. Not daily because I did not have much free time, but almost.
Cleaning of the construction equipment does not receive the due attention it deserves. Here are some efficient tips to carry out effective construction equipment cleaning.Gacha Life 2
I have had success with Plague DK. Only loss was to a Warlock who play Sargeras earlish. Couldn't beat the taunts.

I have good memories of this one because of July 2019 when you could play your opened Uldum cards in it before they got released... Summoned Highkeeper Ra in the brawl before it was even possible to do in Standard... Other than that it rewards skill so usually an easy pack for me...
Nothing spectacular from me. A friend of mine recently sent me a template for "your Top 25 games of all time" and I couldn't even come up with more than 10 :D On the plus side, I usually finish them.
Anyways. Here's my schedule for October:
Keep adding Rogue and DK wins in Hearthstone (less than 100 to go for 1.000 and 500 wins)
God of War 2018 (main story finished, need to look into the Valkyries before I get Ragnarök)
maybe polish up my Witcher 3 end game - I have yet to win all the horse races and fist fights as well as a few side quests
I think it's less about the "baseline" lag (such as input lag) some games generally have, and more about just playing the game on a poor connection. As in, that's where rollback netcode will really shine, when your power is out and you're playing Stormgate on your laptop while getting a wi-fi hotspot from your mobile's data :D
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 game looks pretty sweet and I'm hoping to join you on that.... once I find the time to play the first one.
Demon, I am jealous of your playthrough of Roller Coaster Tycoon and really want to play it again. So many great memories over years of playing RCT, I'd love to make even more pending the time to do so.
On my side of what's being played for October:
Playing a bit of Path of Exile's 3.22 League still.
WoW Dragonflight has received a bit more attention this month so far, but nothing crazy. I hope to continue running the Timewalking dungeons every week during this event because there's a reward at the end of 5 weeks of timewalking.
WoW Wrath of the Lich King wants me back to fight the namesake of the expansion, but I highly doubt I'll get to it.
Forza Motorsport just came out and I want to try it out.
F1 2023 has been begging me to play and my wheel feels very lonely. I need to find some time this weekend to put some laps in.
Payday 3 was enjoyable for the few lobbies I played last month, but the broken release of the game with server instability caused me to stop playing.
There's also a couple of titles I want to check out to write about for the site, on top of Zelda Seasons and Ages which dropped on Switch Online not too long ago.

Sad to hear it's mostly scripted. Might be a deal breaker for me.
Are there random maps / skirmish and such?
