  • New Priest Minion - Lightshower Elemental

Turn 6 is when most aggro decks push for lethal, so this comes in at exactly the right time to get to the late game.

  • New Demon Hunter Spell - Sigil of Flame

Good anti-aggro, but I'm interested to see if there's any sigil synergies before passing final judgement.

  • New Warrior Minion - Mor'shan Elite

Seems pretty good for control and midrange.  Taunt warrior is back?

  • New Priest Spell - Condemn (Rank 1)

It will likely be too weak before turn 5, so there's that to be considered. But after that, its just good. In fact after losing pyromancer, what other options does priest really have? This one fills that hole decently, if not neatly.

At turn 10 its insane. But let's be honest, most games don't ever get to turn 10 and by that time most minions would have outgrown a 3 damage AoE. But that turn 5 upgrade hits that sweet spot for most removals on 2 mana, enough for me to say this will certainly see play.

  • New Priest Minion - Lightshower Elemental

Great card - should see tons of play in Control or Midrange Priest

  • New Hunter Minion - Barak Kodobane

Maybe for Secret Hunter, but still too slow.

  • New Hunter Minion - Barak Kodobane

Seems good - there are already a lot of good 1- and 2-cost spells available in Year of the Gryphon

  • New Paladin Minion - Cannonmaster Smythe

    VALUE!

  • LaoZhongYi Reveals a New Forged in the Barrens Priest Card - Lightshower Elemental

In my love-hate relationship with priest this is firmly on the love side.  Looking forward to making a Wild deathrattle deck with this, the unnerfed albatross, a bunch of duplication effects and the good old N'zoth.

more priest cheat cards, exactly what this game needs!

    Quote From Car

This is a good card for slower priest decks, which were already annoying. Whyyyy

Actually most slower priest decks were annoying because of galakrond/infinite value and "stealing"/copying cards from your deck. And those are LUCKELY rotating, so priest will most likely be a bit less frustrating to face off against. (Everyone hopes playing against priest will be less annoying after rotation.)

  • New Priest Spell - Condemn (Rank 1)

Condemn (Rank 1) seems like a pretty reasonable card. It doesn't take much support to make a 2 mana, 3 damage AOE valuable, particularly if you're able to make trades on board. Even Rank 2 is not all that bad - Breath of the Infinite saw plenty of play, and that didn't always go off on turn 3. Sometimes you just need a lot of AOE redundancy to beat aggro with Priest, and this is good enough to be just that.

  • Thanh Reveals a New Forged in the Barrens Priest Card - Condemn (Rank 1)

Its weak before turn 5, but after that its just a good card. The fact that it doesn't need to be in your hand to upgrade is crucial or otherwise it'll be too slow to be anywhere near good.

After the massacre we seen with priest's core set, any removal option from barrens would be welcome, and I welcome this with open arms.

  • New Paladin Minion - Cannonmaster Smythe

Seems good on paper but paladin secrets can be triggered quiet easily so you can't really play it on turn 5 or 6. Also you have to run those secrets and draw them idk.

A meeh card, imo too expensive

  • New Priest Spell - Condemn (Rank 1)

Seems really good, people probably will complain about priest getting more board clears, but remember: Breath of the Infinite and Holy Ripple are rotating, so priest needed a new cheap board clear alongside Holy Nova.

Condemn (Rank 1) is a very slow board clear though, that will probably only see play in a slower meta. (which is what the meta so far will probably look like) This is because a 2 mana deal 1 isn't good enough these days, and only after turn 5 will it be decent. Because Condemn (Rank 2) can deal with most tokens which is nice, and Condemn (Rank 3) is a decent board clear late game.

But yeh, if it sees play it's only in control priest. And control priest is losing almost all of the things that make it really annoying to face. For example:  Galakrond is rotating. I'm guessing this is probably going to see play specifically in N'Zoth, God of the Deep priest, alongside that new card: Lightshower Elemental.

  • New Priest Minion - Lightshower Elemental

Omg they're loving priest now, i won't complain

  • New Mage Minion - Reckless Apprentice

Seems pretty good even if you don't play a hero power deck.

  • New Priest Minion - Lightshower Elemental

Wow this is just nuts, if control is actually a thing and priests can survive till turn 6, aggro decks are doomed, yes!

    Staff Pro

Blizzard is just moronic when it comes to card reveals. There's never a reason to do three at once. It's not like it adds excitement, if anything, it removes it IMO. Totally different when they do a bunch of reveals together that have synergy though, that one I'd give them credit for because that's really cool. This was not really the case though in this time slot.

Being able to look at a card and think about it alone is nice. Knowing there is another one arriving in just another hour is great, it can keep the excitement going on all day. Three cards followed by a large gap and then what will almost surely be 2 cards since that's the Instagram way of doing it - not incredibly exciting. We could have had the whole morning filled with hourly reveals, a 2-hour break (not 4), and then the Instagram reveals.

But what do I know, I don't get paid to think about scheduling card reveals, just like they don't get paid to think. Giving a YouTube channel a card reveal when all they post about is Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm. Really need to get those 5 remaining Heroes players over onto Hearthstone! It reeks of nepotism.

It took them 3-4 days to get all the reveals up on the calendar. This isn't very uncommon to have happen but it's so silly. The whole community freaks out because "there's only 12 reveals?!?" and such a simple thing could be avoided if they just... were more prepared. I guess that's what everything boils down to, it just feels like card reveals are a "fuck it, wing it" thing =/. I know that isn't the case and they do have a strategy around it, but I don't think anyone can play the "Covid made our communications bad" card anymore.

Also, the expansion should have dropped on the 23rd, not the 30th. Not sure what they screwed up there!

I also don't know why they refuse to acknowledge their failure with Mercenaries. They didn't push it out during the last part of the Year of the Phoenix yet are sweeping it under the rug that the mode ended up delayed. They really need a proper communications team. I miss old Blizzard.

  • New Neutral Minion - Horde Operative

nice one, can definitely screw some things up

  • New Priest Minion - Lightshower Elemental

Ragnaros, Lightlord now has a smaller, better cousin.

  • New Mage Minion - Mordresh Fire Eye

Amazing! Love it! Can' wait to play this!

  • New Priest Spell - Condemn (Rank 1)

If lackeys were still in rotation, the base version would be quite useful. Could still be relevant if stealth/weapon rogue remains a threat.

The midpoint version is the sweet spot, IMO, since it hits a lot of midrange threats, notably token druid.
