Good for Regis. I don't mind Kibler. Both he and Kripp offer reasonable insights into the new cards. Kripp doesn't always seem to remember cards from other recent expansions bc he only plays standard for about 2 weeks after expansion launch, but really no big deal. I feel like Regis would give a more casual player's opinion. Though, i'm sure that they all have talking points given to them by blizzard on the cards during these events.
Regis in the final reveal stream! Probably a big milestone for him. Congratulations, well deserved. Also, first time we start a month on a fresh meta, this will be interesting for sure
The only Tavern Brawl that I loved was the Lunar Tavern Brawl. I played that one until I completely satisfied with every bonus effect. The rest was there just for the pack.
They said in one of the interviews during Blizzconline that the team that handles tavern brawl were the same ones that work on Duels as well as the new mercenaries mode. So my guess is they are focusing on that. That being said, i do think there are probably a few brawls that could be recycled less often.
"March 22 - RegisKillbin, Chris Sierra, and Liv Breeden are revealing the cards in the final reveal stream."
WHAAA not Kripp? FINALLY. Like no hate towards kripp, and i really enjoy watching him! But i got tired of Kripp being in like every final reveal stream last year, and now we have Regis. (Someone who actually plays modes that are not battlegrounds.) Which is great!
Honestly, I think the reason nothing special was made with Brawl 300 is because no one realized it was coming up. Team 5's attention is on the next few sets, modes and events, while the outside community is waiting on the new expansion and rotation with baited breath.
Tavern Brawl is my favourite mode -- I'll usually play 30-40 games when the decks are premade, down to 5-10 when you need to build your deck. On the other hand, I dislike Battlegrounds, because it's like a whole new environment where you have to learn all the permutations of hero powers and minions to do well.
Anyone else concerned that there's only 20 cards revealed by the community/new sites? Afaik, previous expansions have had more than double that number...
We'll see how it turns out this time. Lets hope the final dump isnt going to be that big but rather that they r saving to show more of em in the stream. I still think that it is a wasted resource, not giving even just filler cards to community to reveal them. Maybe the NDA comes to be a factor? They could give more than one card to those already revealing some cards, if they dont have more "trusted partners". I dont know. There is a lot that could be done with it, no idea why they r so stingy.
Kibler had a Quest Warrior list during the Ulduum expansion that was pretty fun! I played it for a little bit with some success. But it was something he made late in the expansion cycle, and it didn’t carry over as well into DoD. A big part of it was getting Sul’thraze online and then next turn dropping a Goon to gain a lot of armor! It was fun!
Kibler also made Quest Warrior in shadows of outland that did really good
