Nice secret tech card, but it's no Eater of Secrets so it's not that good. Also removing 1 RANDOM secret makes it also weak, because you might not remove the secret you want to remove. Probably should have been buffed by letting you pick a secret to remove. (Probably by gaining Discover, so you don't instanly know every secret, that would be way too strong.) Or if it was buffed by being 1 mana cheaper would be nice.
Hmmm... The fact that Southsea Captain remains might hint towards some more pirate cards printed this year? Probably for rogue if i had to guess. Warrior already got the additional pirate stuff last year. Actually the only pirate card rogue got in the last 2 years was Bloodsail Flybooter! Last time Rogue had a pirate package was in Rastahkan's Rumble like 2.5 ish years ago... wow i'm feeling old suddenly...
Hench-Clan Burglar, Sahket Sapper, Skyvateer and Prize Plunderer were all pirates from the last two years. The Year of the Phoenix was very light on pirate cards though, so I expect you are right and we'll see more of a pirate focus at some point this year.
Very interesting card. It was absolute garbage before because it always died before you can buff it up, but with this immense buff it might be used in some miracle decks. If it get's enough support it can be a bit scary, and if you play this alongside Animated Broomstick it can act as removal as well. I think this might see play in C'Thun, the ShatteredNazmani BloodweaverGadgetzan Auctioneer Priest because of the mana cheating.

I understand what you mean about there being no realistic way to play around it. When designing it, I considered it to be like a Rogue version of Snipe. Patient Stab is quite bad against token summon decks like Druid and Paladin but much better against tempo, on-curve decks. I do personally think it's balanced but I do understand the criticism.
As for a nerf to Zilliax, I feel the only thing I would personally want to do to the card is remove the Magnetic effect, just leaving it as a survivability tool in the midgame, but that takes away so much of the flavour of the card, and I never really felt like it was broken when it was Standard before; really powerful but not broken.
Nice buff, still it might be awkward for some control decks to include him. Also maybe your opponent isn't playing a 7+ attack minion? If so your spending 4 mana on a 4/2.. Not the greatest stats without an effect. Let's hope there will be a reason to include him again!
Strong minion in combo decks, specifically E.T.C., God of Metal OTK needs 1 copy of it, because Bloodsworn Mercenary is rotating. Still it's a good minion to include if the meta is slowing down.
Trash, even with the core set removing a lot of beasts the pool is still too bad. The only reason it's still in the core set is because it's literally called Barrens Stablehand...
Hmm could be interesting. From what i can tell from the core set, the meta is probably going to slow down a bit so it might see play. Clockwork Giant has so far always been the worst giant, that's because unlike the other giants Clockwork Giant your opponent can play around it. I really like that, it makes the game more interactive. Which i.m.o. is always a good thing.
Nice buff, Cairne Bloodhoof really needed a buff. But it certainly isn't enough. It might be sticky, but most control decks prefer cards that have an immediate impact on the board, like rush cards. The only class that likes a sticky minion so far is Warrior, which already has Rattlegore.
Incredible card. Even though it hasn't seen much play recently, it's still very good. At worst it's a Loot Hoarder that has -1 atk and +1 spell-damage. Considering Spell-damage Shaman and Mage still have a lot of support, i'm guessing Bloodmage Thalnos will still see play. Oh and with Novice Engineer gone, it now only has competition with Loot Hoarder which makes Bloodmage Thalnos a lot better for other control decks that lack card draw.
Decent dragon, i really like playing my golden Brightwing in dragon decks. But unfortunately those dragon synergy cards are rotating soon. Still she is a decent value generator for value decks, and with the core set removing a lot of useless legendaries, Brightwings "random" legendary pool becomes a LOT better.
Incredibly good card, seems strong in deathrattle hunter decks alongside cards like Darkmoon Tonk at the very least. However if ANY good deathrattle gets printed, Baron Rivendare might instantly become a super strong card that will see a lot of play.
Helpful buff, she was always way too expansive to play. Maybe some control decks might run her? Still she remains inconsistent and sometimes akward to use, so i think she won't see that much play. (Hey at least "not that much play" is way better then no play.)
[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
Yeah, Shadowstep for 2 and Leeroy Jenkins for 3... I don't know about the twins though. Edwin VanCleef?

New Neutral Minion - Violet Teacher
Maybe will see play in Token Druid? Probably the only deck that MIGHT want it..?
New Neutral Minion - Gadgetzan Auctioneer
Amazing card, and being in the core set will make C'Thun, the Shattered Priest a SCARY deck, with all the mana cheating from Nazmani Bloodweaver.
New Neutral Minion - Arcane Devourer

New Neutral Minion - Mini-Mage
They could have reduced the attack all they want, just give the guy more health! Wouldn't you play this if it was a 0/3?
New Neutral Minion - Defender of Argus
Might see play again, kinda hope it does.
New Neutral Minion - Mini-Mage
LOL, they totally added this only because they noticed that the pool for Primordial Studies was going to be too good. Will otherwise never see play.
New Neutral Minion - Southsea Captain

Thank you for the feedback though, appreciate it.

Smells like Miracle Rogue. Maybe Gadgetzan Auctioneer?

New Neutral Minion - Baron Rivendare
"A new Legendary Neutral Minion, Baron Rivendare, has been revealed!"
NAXX'S OUT!!
Edit: Now being serious, I am really happy about this! Played him a lot back in the day
New Neutral Minion - Bloodmage Thalnos
Incredible card. Even though it hasn't seen much play recently, it's still very good. At worst it's a Loot Hoarder that has -1 atk and +1 spell-damage. New Neutral Minion - King Mukla
So it's synergy for Mill decks, Clockwork Giant and i guess Ogremancer? Might see some play? Not sure though, most control decks prefer a better beast for N'Zoth, God of the Deep synergy. (Like Moonfang or Circus Amalgam. Probably will only see play in off-meta decks.
New Neutral Minion - Razormane Raider
It could play some werid combos on wild, maybe in druid with the gelatinous cube and/or that 10 mana spell that buffs everything...
New Neutral Minion - Brightwing
Decent dragon, i really like playing my golden Brightwing in dragon decks. But unfortunately those dragon synergy cards are rotating soon.
