  • Hot New Runeterra Decks From the New Aphelios Champion Expansion

    Yep, too much Lab time.

I really want to try Gluttony Anivia.

  • Guides for Legends of Runeterra's Fresh Lab Rotation For Patch 2.1

Are there icons available for every hero in Lab of Legends?

Never mind, I should've looked at that great guide first.

  • Guides for Legends of Runeterra's Fresh Lab Rotation For Patch 2.1

Are there icons available for every hero in Lab of Legends? If so, they're going to make me play them all.

I beat my first run-through with Aphelios, picking up Vi along the way. Man, Severum was clutch, as I needed the Lifesteal often.

My favorite game happened in the Foundry. I thought I was going to lose it until I got to a point where I was able to throttle the AI with a Level 2 Vi with 28 attack, Lifesteal AND Overwhelm!

To be fair, Jury-Rig is also better than Scrapdash Assembly because it's a Burst spell, not Slow.

Good job making me want to watch the video now. 😉

Dude every aggro list is follower heavy and you're forgetting that half of these creatures in my list generate spells

However I did end up teching in culling strike and swapping sharpened resolve for elixir of wrath.

    -----------------------------------Final Update-----------------------

Absolutely destroyed stun control that is all spells and I should have been hard countered not a meta list but still

  • Cheese's custom core sets revamp - Global thread (done!)

Alright Blizzconline is very soon so I need to finish this before they reveal the actual official core set rework.

Here are the changes I made to my Classic set:

    • Replaced my buffed version of Silverback Patriarch and Magma Rager with equivalent but new cards as a way for those 2 to keep their meme status.
    • Replaced Fungalmancer with Sunborne Val'kyr which performs a similar function but is less dangerous.
    • Replaced Corrosive Sludge with a nerfed (2/2) version of Acidic Swamp Ooze. The current ooze has vanilla stats so there's little penalty for including it in a deck, the tech effect is too powerful for it to have vanilla stats.
    • Reduced Arcane Devourer's cost by (1)
    • Replaced [Hearthstone Card (Amani Warbear) Not Found] with Silver Hand Knight. AWB is too good and versatile to be core.
    • Substituted Serpent Ward (originally put in rare classic) with Pack Leader (originally put in basic).
    • Strongly hesitated to completely remove the dragon aspects (except Deathwing) but opted to keep them all for flavor reasons.

@Zyella I may be more receptive to your comments if they were written less agressively and with better spelling

EDIT: Also new revision of the priest set added

  • Stuck at startup screen ("logging in") on PC

Had the same problem. Just stoped playing on PC. After uninstalling and installing the game worked again, but I encountered other problems.

I have an open ticket at Blizzard, see what they’ll say.

  • Riven Is Great Patch 2.1.0

By slow speed i mean that you play a very unit heavy build and units develop at slow speed. And while this concept works for ephemeral decks (because they are balanced around that downside) it makes open attacks really difficult to do for your list.

That hush is not that bad right now: There's a reason why they nerfed it to 3 mana and why targon decks still run it as a 2/3 of. (Maybe because not mana is the right kind of nerf but a mechanical nerf like "can't be cast during combat")

Anyways: Hush is widely used and ends every riven's career with ease -> riven decks won't make it into tier 1

You can play Riven but I don't see her being competitive anytime soon. Especially as long as her sword is still slow speed... the right buff would have been imo to change the sword to noncombat burst speed to also make more thematical sense and turn the buff into a big threat that doesn't get nopified right away...

    Back to your decklist:

In general your deck feels like it serves too many themes without actually supporting them.

Especially something like a crowd favourite is in this version not that good imo but it's your deck and if it works for you play it

I am not the one to judge wether it works for you so you do you

  • Gibberling Token Druid Budget Deck List & Guide - Budget Deck Breakdown

I was never a fan of token druid. I neither enjoy playing it nor playing against it. It all comes down to:

    1. flood the board

    2. if the opponent killed your board, repeat step 1

    3. buff the board and instantly win the game

It's probably more complicated than I made it out to be, but I just find that playstyle incredibly boring with little decisions to make.

  • Envoy Rustwix

Slow but fun in control warlock. Event helpful in fatigue match-ups .

  • Monkey King

    Quote From AbusingKel

    Monkey King took some luck.

Garrosh seems completely impossible. Any tips on the MU after Monkey King? I can't keep anything on board or keep up with his board. There's not enough time to pull off an OTK (and I don't see the resources to actually do that, anyway, since Garrosh builds up armor easily). Even the bigger minions die to one swing of Gorehowl. Popping a Mass Resurrection doesn't give enough power to win, either.

That Garrosh fight takes even more luck, but in general he's really not all that hard. I've been in games where I played nothing for 4 turns and still managed the win. Basically the reason why his army is a little more overpowered is because of your hero power, which along with holy nova should more or less clear everything except for Warmaul Challenger. Just keep playing minions even if they will die to a weapon swing. It really doesn't matter if Garrosh keeps removing them, because your hp will be doing most of the damage anyway.

As long as your hp keeps removing his minions and you keep your health high, there's really not much to be afraid of.

  • The 9 Worst Cards In Legends of Runeterra

Truthfully it was something bs to spam those 0-Cost bad boys and holding people hostage, I remember sharing that fact to r/LegendsofRuneterra back during the release of Bilgewater. But I still miss at least pulling off the combo nonetheless, even if you could hold people hostage, which I didn't (or at least I only spammed untill I had my Sages all patched up).

Maybe they could implement a feature that if you used Zephyr Sage to copy another Zephyr Sage, you would increase its Cost by (1), so that you cannot spam 0-Cost Sages while still going ham on those.

  • The 9 Worst Cards In Legends of Runeterra

It was removed because people abused the fact that there is no turn timer to hold people hostage without letting either player win to try to force a surrender. Riot said that once they add a time limit for the entire turn, they will revert Zephyr Sage.

  • The 9 Worst Cards In Legends of Runeterra

But how broken was it to be removed? It was a niche deck and strat at best. Did I miss something?

  • The 9 Worst Cards In Legends of Runeterra

    Quote From Neoguli

I don't know what happened to remove this interaction altogether, because I still hold some sentiment to constantly playing 0-Cost Sages like it's nothing.

I’m pretty sure the second half of your sentence answers the question in your first half.

  • Why you're wrong about Viktor

Oh for sure he's basically a better mountain scryer and your mileage will vary by the amount you like that card.

But even just going from unplayable trash set it on fire...to maybe I'll play this in a create a card deck is a huge improvement.

Update - Oh hey look mogwai agrees, he runs Viktor and mountain scryer

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm6wI4OlGTk

  • Why you're wrong about Viktor

Viktor is better after the path but he just a decent champion now nothing more. And yes I watch the video, Aphelios was doing all heavy lifting during that match.

  • Gibberling Token Druid Budget Deck List & Guide - Budget Deck Breakdown

Thats fine, everyone has classes they just hate, mines Priest

  • The 9 Worst Cards In Legends of Runeterra

Zephyr Sage is as useless as it's now become, because you can longer copy other Sages. I don't know what happened to remove this interaction altogether, because I still hold some sentiment to constantly playing 0-Cost Sages like it's nothing.

  • Concept cards - community feedback

    Staff

I like Entangle, could even cost 0 probably :p

Lightsteed Crusader is probably little too good vs any non-ping class. But not much ways to change it. Moving stats is kinda weird.

Azshara is pretty OP with some shaman cards like Healing Rain or Healing Wave, or having some Lifesteal dudes up. It represents way too much immediate burst threat, even tho not super consistent. Would be extremely unfun card. Just its existence would require from the opponent to always keep this in mind, if they can push for dmg or not, if Shaman could insta-snipe em next turn.

Embiggen. It's a perfectly cromulent word.

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)

    G - gain, H - has, A - attack...? Or it's wrong direction?

  • Dean Ayala's Community Q&A #4 - Classic Set Rework Teaser, Craftable Heroes, Possible March Expansion, 2v2, Rewards Track

    Quote From Zelgadis

I think the problem isn't that people were doing spreadsheets, but that they weren't given the full data to work with.

I think it's crazy that people assumed they had all the data and assumed their spreadsheets were flawless.

If the people who built the system tell you one thing, and your own calculations tell you something very different, your first assumption should NOT be that you've been lied to. It should be that you don't have all the information, or that your calculations are off.
