  • Freljord Needs An Identity Shake Up

Every single region is seeing major experimentation really ? Come on man we both know that's not true.

There are currently three regions seeing major experimentation and those are Targon, Noxus and Piltover & Zaun. And of course they are. Targon just got a new set of champion and followers. As for the other two, Riven and Viktor just got Buffed so people are trying to see how good there now. Besides experimentation does equal good and old does not equal bad. Scouts and Fiora/Shen are both "old hats" but they are still great decks.

  • The Best Darkmoon Faire Standard Hearthstone Decks for Envoy Rustwix

    Pro

I've been playing a Quest/C'Thun/Rustwix control warlock the last couple days, and it's very fun (and pretty good). Here's my issue: it seems like I'm always drawing Soul Fragments with my upgraded hero power and therefore missing out on the cost reduction. A couple times now I've tapped into a "free" soul fragment followed by a full cost Prime that might have saved me. Would I be better off removing the Soul Fragment package?

  • Freljord Needs An Identity Shake Up

Sorry deck buff, then you draw the cards in your hand which ultimately is much the same thing.

Anyway feel free to share new decks in this region because Trundle ramp and Ash midrange are old hat by now.

Meanwhile every other region is seeing major experimentation.

  • Freljord Needs An Identity Shake Up

I have to respectfully disagree on this on, I think that Freljord is fine as a region here why :

    - Freljord main mechanics are frostbite, ramp and deck buffs. It also have access to overwhelm, regeneration and plunder.

    - Freljord got Trundle and Feel The Rush  both were meta defining cards that took advantage of the ramp mechanic.

    - The other Freljord cards that we got focused on buffing unit by giving them either a stats boost overwhelm or regeneration Bloodsworn Pledge,Augur of the Old Ones,Troll Gifts, so they fit with Freljord identity.

    - We sadly didn't get any new frostbite or plunder cards, but that's to be expected since the focus of the expansion is Targon not Freljord.

    - Hand buff is a mechanic found in Ionia not Freljord.

    - The landmark problem is not exclusive to Freljord, all of 5+ mana landmarks have been nothing but meme cards.

    - I don't understand why people keep saying that the The Scargrounds is a Vlad card, it does nothing to fix his problems. The best use for that card is to use alongside Ember Maiden and Scarmother Vrynna.

In conclusion Freljord got some shitty cards, so did every other region that doesn't call for an identity shake up.

FYI, the pretty background images for the Darkmoon Faire mini races cards are currently missing in the decklists.

EDIT: That was a fast fix, the background images are shown now👍

  • Why you're wrong about Viktor

Victor is awesome and his design is really well done, so it was a welcome buff. He is prone to getting bad keywords early which hurts his viability but I will try a Victor/Apehelios deck for sure.

  • Freljord Needs An Identity Shake Up

As the name suggests out of all the base regions that have continued to receive new cards

I have the least brewing excitement about Freljord

It's almost as if the developers are struggling to figure out their card release identity post Targon.

Here's some cards that should have gotten people excited but ultimately fell flat.

Image result for howling abyss legends of runeterra

So this plays into ramp identity only problem that's what all the new cards for this region do and that deck is already established

Image result for it who stares

It's a mind splitter that avalanches instead of stuns, like on the edge of playability but unexciting

There's a landmark that gives tough when units survive dmg and it's just not worth it like is it a vlad thing I don't know

We also got an 8 mana ramp card which is exactly when you don't need to ramp anymore...it's bad is what I'm saying

Instead they should be attempting to revitalize old archetypes stuff like hand buff

Freiljord allegiance, like give us a reason to want to run omen hawk again

Bit of a ramble but let me know what you guys think in the comments

  • Runeterra's Lab of Legends Gets More Experience Changes - Riot Comments

So THAT's what happened.  I thought I had just played too much, and so they reduced my exp to 100, and then to 50.

I can't say it's not fair, since it is a fairly easy grind, and it's more fun than just fighting the A.I.  That being said, it's comparable to the "Journey to the Peak" lab, which awarded 200 exp every time the way it did on release.

  • The Best Darkmoon Faire Standard Hearthstone Decks for Envoy Rustwix

    Quote From Sykomyke

I think versions that run Tickatus/Y'shaarj or other corrupt cards aren't horrible but just not as viable right now. (Deck has too little ways to corrupt Tickatus)

I've actually found the Tickatus Control variant to be by far the strongest of the available options; I've been working my way up the ladder with it almost exclusively after having been away for awhile, and have met virtually no resistance. The thing that it's easy to overlook is that Rustwix is himself an enabler of Tickatus, since his one card turns into 3 primes that will all cost more than 6. (I've actually been running Free Admission in my version, since it lets you pull two minions relatively cheaply. If it's late and you haven't seen a 7+, you're guaranteed to hit something for 3 mana, but in a pinch, you can always throw down an uncorrupted Strongman.)

and the soul shard package feels slightly inferior.

You could think of it as partial justification just for running Malicia, another Tickatus enabler, but I've also found it to be really helpful padding against other Control decks. If you want to get to Tickatus and friends quickly, you're often tapping enough to warrant the healing. But it definitely feels most potent if you match against any other Warlock. Heaven forbid you face another Control (or, more likely, Galakrond) Warlock running Tickatus... getting Soul Fragments shredded doesn't feel nearly so bad.

  • Phoenix Fireball

every game the combo is at the bottom of the deck. literally 2 out of 3 times. draws in this game are rigged according to your deck. Its a Good deck but dont expect to draw your combo early except once in awhile

  • Snowpocalypse

Can we get an official statistical overview of the event ?
I'm just really curious how much snowballs were collectively thrown, received, etc.
    Thanks in advance

  • TheCupIsMine's Shyvana & Aurelion Sol Dragon Deck List & Guide - Runeterra Deck Spotlight

Hey guys, thecupismine here. Solid guide to the deck! One quick note though: the matchup against scouts is at least 70/30 favored to dragons.

The key thing to think about is scouts wins by going 2 for 1 with a lot of trades, which is next to impossible with the beef in this deck. If you have plaza down and play a dragon, you lock them out of doing anything meaningful with their mana that turn as you'll challenge the important unit, win the trade, and then continue widdling down their board. This often leads them to not play anything, to which you end the turn without attacking and destroy their tempo.

When I was climbing with the deck, I probably played scouts over 20 times, and lost once due to a bricked hand.

Draven Jinx is a little closer, but if you pull for judgment you can often just blow them up on turn 5 and end the game that way. I built the original version of the deck in the Fearsome aggro meta, and this deck was designed to destroy them off a big judgment blowout that they can't play around (which happened during the live stream of the tourney :)). Draven Jinx is a little faster, and if you don't get a 4 drop down that can use judgment on 5 it can get sketchy, but with all the healing it's usually not too hard to stabilize.

I'm probably going to refine the list as we get closer to the seasonal, but thought I'd add my two cents in on a couple different matchups given I'm probably the only one who's played the deck so extensively :)

P.S. One reason Shyvanna is great too is the removal the opponent uses on her is very similar to what they would use on ASol, which provides a more stable situation to play him in. Dragons with their stats also level Asol faster than any other deck out there.

    Great content.

  • Runeterra's Lab of Legends Gets More Experience Changes - Riot Comments

It’s amazing how much this game gives you. They went from being WAY TOO GENEROUS to merely VERY GENEROUS, and it caused an outcry on Reddit.

Even at the low point of the rewards, the single-player content was still an ok, low-stress source of XP and a good way to speed through quests that you might otherwise have trouble with. (I used them on Wednesday to quickly grind through my big Card Styles quest as well as one other quest I wasn’t ready for in my constructed decks. I’m looking forward to doing that again next Wednesday, and I’d be happy with any little XP bonus that comes with it.

  • Why you're wrong about Viktor

Yeah personally I land on 2 viktors in an Ezreal Targon control list.

He just isn't a win condition by himself he supports other win cons.

In this case discounts means it's easier to burst down your opponent.

  • Stuck at startup screen ("logging in") on PC

    Quote From Zebulun

Had the same problem. Just stoped playing on PC. After uninstalling and installing the game worked again, but I encountered other problems.

I have an open ticket at Blizzard, see what they’ll say.

My problem was with Legends of Runeterra though, not Hearthstone. :p

I found out that restarting the game solves the problem whenever it occurs, I hope you'll be able to solve your issues with Hearthstone as well. :)

  • Why you're wrong about Viktor

    Quote From Nifty129

Oh for sure he's basically a better mountain scryer and your mileage will vary by the amount you like that card.

But even just going from unplayable trash set it on fire...to maybe I'll play this in a create a card deck is a huge improvement.

Update - Oh hey look mogwai agrees, he runs Viktor and mountain scryer

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm6wI4OlGTk

Nicmakesplays has also been running Viktor in a nightfall Aphelios deck. Viktor is definitely not useless anymore, but I'm not sure yet that I'd say he's good

Aphelios is definitely a guy, not a lady.

  • The 9 Worst Cards In Legends of Runeterra

I’ve had expedition runs where Mystifying Magician actually came out big at multiple times in the run. It’s the type of card you’d hate facing if it was more consistent and became popular though.
