I understand the change. I will miss it off of Stonehill Defender though. Sometimes you got 2 crappy options and you could 'reroll' for better options. Oh well. Also a nerf to Yogg. I would purposefully put spells that could roll into themselves and other spells to get that 30+ Spell RNG fiesta!
I think Tarif should be pretty easy to level up, given that his support ability counts as 2 extra triggers towards his level up (since it’s a Support ability that targets an ally). Also, if they print a Targon card that targets multiple times (something like “Grant 3 allies +1|+0”) he could be even easier to level up.
I think they have succeeded in making "Support" a thing now. There will definitely be competitive decks that use Support as a primary mechanic. Young Witch is especially interesting, since she will usually be able to attack without immediately risking combat death. This has always been one of the most limiting factors with regard to Support - the ally that does the supporting is very vulnerable to just dying without killing his/her blocker.
The fact that it says I've seen makes it seem a bit to hard to level. The thing is I don't know if that's a bad thing. Since when he is leveled up he basically gives himself and another unite Unyielding Spirit or that turn. As we all know Unyielding Spirit is a a really really frustrating card. So in order for him to do that on level up they had to make it so he was really hard to level.
Agree--I played 2 hours last night and I didn't see a single Taric level up. ;-)
In all seriousness: wait until he actually comes out before drawing any conclusions. It could be that he's intended to play more like a Braum or Thresh: difficult to level up, but once they do provide a huge payoff. Or maybe he will be easier to level than he seems: if you have 2 other units including 1 support and 1 buff spell, that's 4 (assuming Taric's copy counts; I haven't seen confirmation). Or maybe it will be like Yasuo and Kalista where they intentionally set it a little high because they didn't want it to be overly toxic Day 1, and if it doesn't have high winrate they patch him to require fewer activations.
Should have happened a while ago. Also, slight buff to Shadow Visions in my opinion! Rarely when playing that do I want to discover another Shadow Visions, and it coming up as an option was only good if the other two options were not what I wanted.
In principle, this change seems pretty good - varied gameplay is important, and these "discover cycles" can be very frustrating to play against. That said, I think it the impact will be felt much more significantly by the classes with very weak card draw (I'm thinking Priest and Shaman primarily). Random cards are (on average) worse than cards in your deck, so you need to be able to generate more cards to make up for their relative quality. This could mess with the consistency of those classes who lack meaningful card draw tools.
My dude, you only need a total of 4 cards in hand:
1x Taric 3x Gem cards (generated by followers) 3x Stored mana (to play all 3 gem cards above in the same Turn Taric is played)
Each time Taric is buffed with a Gem, he also buffs his support with another free one. Double cast with a single usage. Its possible to level up Taric as soon as T4 if the player has the attack token, 3 gems and 3 spell mana stored.
Taric Level Up: +1(attacking with an allied support) +3 Gem(from hand) +3 Gem(given for free by Taric's ability) = 7
Reason is frustration of looking at your opponent playing 5 Nature Studies in a row... Not that it is strong, just really frustrating and makes turns longer for no reason.
It's when they do that with an Exotic Mountseller out and get 3 Muklas that it becomes really frustrating
They already have Wandmaker for major compensation.
She makes for less shenanigans than glyph but more reliability with Book of Specters.
I doubt QMage will even notice.
This change is more about feelings than real impact in the meta. Even moreso in Wild, where card pool is contnuously increased and chains increasingly unlikely. IMO.
It's only cheating if it shows information you couldn't possibly know without looking through your deck or enemies hand. Like for example. They nab some of your cards and the deck tracker marks the loss of those cards. Well now you know which cards they took and what they have in hand of yours. That's cheating.
Each Gem spell should proc Taric twice. So all its needed to level him up is to play 3 gem cards (3 mana) and attack once.
Even then that's 7 mana in gems. That's a lot of mana. I mean I guess if you bank 7 gems then get him on board and drop them all in one turn to instantly level him. That would be almost like a dropping two U.S. at burst speed for 7 mana in total that also buffs several unites and gives one other unite tough for that attack phase then the tough and the remaining buffs besides the US will last forever.
But still that is kinda asking for a lot to go right to make that happen. Plus you need 7 slots to hold those gems. You can only have a hand of 10 cards. So that's a tight fit.

Biggest loser appears to be the Mage, who can no longer rely on Primordial Glyph and Magic Trick loops for Open the Waygate or Mana Cyclone shenanigans. Sounds good to me; I gladly sacrifice the few other niche scenarios where this pops up if that particular deck gets hit again.
This was really good with Twisted Knowledge, i understand why it was nerfed, but i think it's been so long since it was overpowered that it doesn't even matter anymore, there's plenty of ways to get infinite value now that random infinite value doesn't matter. Especially in wild. This change could be good only in arena, but it doesn't even matter in constructed in fact it's a nerf for no reason in my opinion.

Also, notice Taric is only unkillable after he declares an attack. He still is vulnerable in the entire oponnent's turn or if the player decide to play a card before the attack phase.
Increasing Disconnect Issues?
Runs perfectly fine for me. What I have seen people suggest is to re-install the game. Seems to have worked for many people.

That is some serious Support support.
Ahem.
Damn, Swole Squirrel will be a little crazy if you can keep him alive.

Amusingly, this is a buff to Jandice Barov, since she can't make a copy of herself.

Decktracker = Cheating?
OP Deleted their posts so I'll lock the thread. I think we've got a good understanding now that decktracking is not cheating.
