The ideal scenario for this is to pull it off of Guardian Animals, but I don't think that spell will be very good in the upcoming meta. Not having a way to immediately activate the cleave makes this minion so much weaker as well.

Why not make this a legendary spell?  Having a 5 Mana 2-1 minion just send pointless.

I wonder if you wouldn't play both this card and Captain Greenskin. It would increase the consistency of your deck.

Finally after years ... Flamewaker made balanced 

This looks more powerful in Druid than in Shaman, as the more expensive Shaman spells in standard right now are symmetric board clears. Druid also has a weakness of lacking removal in general, so Speaker Gidra helps shore up that weakness. Probably only sees play in Quest Druid that may run a Malygos win condition to serve part of the role Wardruid Loti did before she was rotated. I imagine you don't run Gidra in Spell Druid as you only want to run essential minions in that deck for Fungal Fortunes.

And here we are at study number 3 - rush translating as an athletic feature - I kind like this one a tad less, but only for theme reason. It is otherwise a good flexible card that can help you out of a tight spot.

Turn 1 with this and . Then some 2/2 on the board and a buff next turn.

I like the Study cards and how they adapt to each classes - demon, dragon, athletic (read rush) - its a fun concept
