This is an amazing swing card for Spell Damage decks that will give them some good board presence later in the game. I think this is a card people will have to think about when it is turn 5 and you have a spell damage minion on the field. And even just playing this on turn 7 with the new mage 1-drop isn't terrible.
I retained 10* stars for Wild. Ended as Platinum 10.
But, oh boy, was I surprised after receiving 11* stars reward for Standard ladder!!!
Last month my Standard stats: 110 games. 60% win-rate. Rank - 3062. https://ibb.co/6D3zRyW
Decks: Various, but mostly Pure Paladin and Gala Shaman. Some Dragon Hunter, Pirate Warrior...
I have no idea why my reward jumped to 11*. I don't play that much anymore. My last Legend was in May (got 10*), so no Legend in June for me. Rumors are telling one need to be top-1500 to get 11*?!?
Am I that good, lol?! Or I maintain a good MMR by not playing much or vs. worse players and not vs. top legends, but then... I'm certainly better then my current opponents and current rank? Skill level feels a lot worse than before. Only really top legends know how to play this game and I think they are the most screwed by this new MMR system.
I like this card, and I think it will see play. I also like how priest/paladin and priest/warlock cards have synergy with both classes, more so it seems to me than a lot of other pairings.
I think this is a great payoff for the Soul Fragment package, but not a game-winning payoff. Soulciologist Malicia is a great card, but she and the Soul Fragment package doesn't provide the same inevitability that Blastmaster Boom and bombs provide for Bomb Warrior. I still think Malicia will see play, but 1) she demands that you run the entire Soul Fragment package for either class and 2) you have to run a game-winning package alongside the Soul Fragment package. I think this is easier to do in Warlock than in DH as Warlock as better late-game win conditions like Lord Jaraxxus (remember Demonic Studies?) and Arch-Villain Rafaam.
Of course the comparison is made with Despicable Dreadlord, but I think there is some context missing for what made Dreadlord competitive. In Dreadlord's time, it mainly saw play in Zoolock as a way to counter a very prominent archetype at the time: Dude/Odd Paladin. While Ras Frostwhisper certainly has its use with the prominence of lackeys in standard, I can only see him going into tempo-based decks in either class, just like how Dreadlord mainly saw play.
I think Mage has more use for him than Shaman as Shaman has other more synergistic 5-cost plays like Totem Goliath and Shield of Galakrond. Maybe in a Burn Shaman to utilize the spell damage upside, but Burn Shaman cares more about using spell damage to go face with cheap burn rather than a minion that doesn't go face well. Might as well just run Cumulo-Maximus instead.
For Mage, I'm skeptical of how consistent the spell damage package and how much spell damage you can keep on the board. Yes there is Mozaki, Master Duelist, but she's a one-of in your deck.
Overall, I don't think Ras Frostwhisper will see consistent play in either class as he is low impact at a base and requires too much inconsistent support to increase his power.

New Druid & Shaman Spell - Runic Carvings
In Shaman, its ok but in Druid it gets overshadowed by Glowfly Swarm
New Druid & Hunter Minion - Teacher's Pet
Piloted Shredder. For one more mana, you get Taunt and the minion left behind synergizes well with Hunter. Seems good.
New Druid & Shaman Spell - Runic Carvings
I don't see why Spell Token Druid wouldn't like this.
New Priest Minion - Cabal Acolyte
Kind of situational, but very nice against aggro.
New Demon Hunter & Warlock Spell - Soul Shear
Darkbomb. Can't go face, but gets the delayed healing later instead. Perfectly decent.

New Paladin & Warrior Minion - Lord Barov
Seems, in a way, almost "too fair". Can take out big threats late game, sure, but will this really see much play?
New Paladin & Priest Spell - Gift of Luminance
I like this card, and I think it will see play. I also like how priest/paladin and priest/warlock cards have synergy with both classes, more so it seems to me than a lot of other pairings.
New Priest Minion - Mindrender Illucia
Combo murderer. This is going to annoy me in Wild.
New Priest Spell - Initiation
Seems expensive. I dunno.
New Priest Spell - Initiation
Seems expensive. I dunno.
New Demon Hunter & Warlock Minion - Soulciologist Malicia
This is the least exciting soul fragment card, so I am not sure it will see much play.
New Paladin & Priest Spell - Gift of Luminance
Deathrattle shenanigans, though delayed by the shields...
New Mage & Shaman Minion - Ras Frostwhisper
Probably better for mage, but shaman might find it useful if they already have a spell damage totem up.
New Demon Hunter & Warlock Minion - Soulciologist Malicia

Our Thoughts on Hearthstone's Scholomance Academy Priest/Warlock Dual Class Cards
Flesh Giant is gonna be bonkers.
Definitely interesting Deathrattle shenanigans with Gandling.
Scholomance Academy
Welp, now that's stuck in my head.
New Mage & Shaman Minion - Ras Frostwhisper

New Neutral Minion - Cult Neophyte
Aggro decks will probably use this to delay Holy Nova and others.
New Rogue & Warrior Minion - Steeldancer
I think this will see play more in warrior than rogue, but I might be surprised.
Scholomance Academy
It's the
FINAL COUNTDOWN!
New Neutral Minion - Desk Imp
This is what I will get when I "summon a random demon". I love the artwork, it is cute.
New Priest & Warlock Minion - Brittlebone Destroyer
People are going to hate this card in both warlock and priest.
New Paladin & Warrior Weapon - Ceremonial Maul
I think this will work better for warrior than paladin, but it might see some play with paladins.
