Zephrys does offer some options unavailable to be played on the current turn like Pyroblast and Mind Control, but that's about it. He's already sometimes unreliable (if your opponent casts Grave Rune, zephrys almost never gives you an option for silence) so I don't think its a good idea for him to now give you an option for a dormant minion, especially since when you play him you will probably want him to offer something immediately relevant, and one less of a choice can decide games.
You are playing a deck cause it was recommended. Mistake number one: you are a slave of the win. I get the feeling you are playing it for the wins and you don't like the deck.
Mistake number 2: playing a deck that relies upon what you draw. It's a green cards deck but unlike aggro its a card per turn if u draw them cause u cant even influence that since theres no card draw.
Mistake number 3: wanting to climb with a slow deck. So im assuming u want ro reach legend independently of the pleasure u have in piloting the deck. Ive done this before and normally i just pick an aggro deck. Reason is i dont like the deck i just want to climb quickly so i choose an aggro deck. Result? It steamrolls the low to mid ranks easily but once I reach a high rank i walk into a wall. I think the main issue is since i dont like the deck i just dont put much thought into it and end up losing a lot. Funny thing is with some aggro decks that actually remember liking i didnt hit this wall cause i was making smart plays to avoid certain outcomes and play around removal
The lesson of this 3rd mistake aint "bro just dont play aggro" but it is dont play something u dont like. AND if u are indeed just using a deck for climbing regardless of ur enjoyment than i seriously recommend aggro because its a lot faster. Winning or losing fast makes the climb easier.
U chose a really slow deck to try and climb. Thats quite admirable but ultimately a mistake. The main issue is that u are relying ur climb and success on a deck. The deck doesn't play by itself (tho rez priest archetype are almost that) and thats the main problem. It was recommended so u just go with it regardless.
U are the playing. U are the one trying to reach legend. Not the deck. Dont make urself a slave of it. And dont make the deck your slave either. You are partners in crime treat it well treat with respect for ur opponent. Predict ur opponents play. Play around the worst possible outcome each turn. Know ur opponents deck know ur own deck and what draws could net u the win play with those odds predict the rng and u will come out on top.
Sadly for that im not seeing a rez priest pulling it. Its a very one sided deck. Very linear deck meaning u either have the cards or u dont. Most decks have differently plays. Easy deck like the demon hunters etc rely on those broken cards but the deck works regardless of what the cards are cause u are making different plays. Rez priest is just did i drew my taunts? Do i have my removal cards. And did I drew my mass rez? The only combo is the infiltrator and grave rune. If u don't get ur cards online when u should u just lose. Also u rely on a meta not using shaman cause the highlander mage is a pain cause they run poly and zephyr can get u one. The fact that shaman and their possibility of discovering hex is off meta makes rez priest more viable. Of course rogue counters priest hard and galakron rogue is still very good.
Tldr: play a good deck but one you actually like or else you will feel like you are on a job. Dont be a slave of the win or you will end up defeated by your own deck not the opponent's
Zephrys is unable to plan ahead, he either finds answers for current turns, or Value plays.
Since you can't interact with a dormant minion, he won't give you answers for it.
It sounds like a limit, but it is actually a way to make him efficient at what he does: it's extremely hard to write a code that makes him truly effective in turns ahead of current one - especially if the same result can be attained with a better timely play on your side.
I think that would weaken the Zephrys, offering a dead choice. If you want Sac Pac to kill that demon, just play Zephrys when it awakens, not like you can kill it before it does anyway, so you are not dodging that 10 damage aoe.
It gives you some options when it comes to tempo, but it can't out tempo demon hunters and doesnt have the necessary value to beat res priest. It can beat any types of warlock, but that's about it.
Its not a good meta for tempo hunters. Your best bet is face hunter with Teron Gorefiend, or new quest hunter. Good old dragon hunter still works, sometimes, but just not good enough to beat dhunters and res priest, and also struggles with galakrond warlock too.
Unless some nerfs starts getting in, expect hunter to be good against the half of all the classes and absolutely trash against the other half.
I'm thinking about crafting Zixor, Apex Predator for a variation of Dragon Hunter with Scavenger Ingenuity (tutor for Phase Stalkers too). Has anyone tried it, does it feel like a strong improvement on the original deck?
Apologies if this is old news but, I just found out that the HS Podcast that used to be called Omni/Stone is back! Working title is Untitled/Stone ;D

Yes, if there is a "barrier recruiter" or a barrier tutor it matters, and yes it's worse when summoned and not played you are right, it's a slight nerf.. not that people were playing it with the harrowing anyway.
Did you survive long enough to see the Antaen wake up? I'd be interested to see if it took any damage from the attack, which should be retained in its dormant state.
As for whether it is intended or not, it is hard to say. Dormant rules clearly affect what can target and interact with them, and could be viewed as an extension to stealth. Since it is clearly intended that you can attack a stealth minion if it appears from Bamboozle I can picture a world where dormant behaves similarly, though I also have my doubts.
Well the Frenzied Skitterer nerf seems not impactful to me (power is way more important than toughness in fearsome decks and this just makes it die to avalance or mystic shot)
The Brightsteel Formation nerf is small but meaningful since p&z can now kill it with their big creature burn spell as response and that it triggers 1 less barrier for shen
The Katarina buff is interesting but i doubt it will make her much better on her own but i could see Ezreal decks now considering to play her
The Yasuo buff actually does not change too much since he was above 3 health when he leveled anyways and thats what matters (for Brittle Steel)
The Vanguard Bannerman nerf was to prodictable and wont reduce the power of the card too much it just has to be played along with 3 units instead of 2 to be worth it and thats fine
However it is sad to see that Riot wants to keep Iceborn Legacy as it is. It only finds a home in that scribe meme deck that you cant call consistant or ranked viable imo
Isnt Brightsteel Formation just a design clean-up rather than a nerf? I believe "give all allies" includes itself, so it will come with a Barrier regardless. You can tell by the new text on Vanguard Bannerman that will say "grant other allies" to exclude itself.
"doesn't have barrier itself anymore by default but grant it to itself via it's effect (no change)"
By no change I mean it doesn't actually got changed I think I mentioned it.
@leglock I don't think she is countered by barrier anyway.. it doesn't fix her weakness to frostbite and mystic shots.
it helps her kill such targets and grants her synergy with sejuani a bit... it's also really thematic since it's her passive in league.
Brightsteel Formation had changed actually. No longer have Barrier if you summon him from other effects, such as The Harrowing and Spectral Matron for example. I know, in practice, you also play those on your attack turns and he still gives Barrier when it attacks but still a change if you ask me and in new expansion, there might be some summon effects that makes this change is needed maybe.
Hand washing and clean water are very important, no question. Neither of them do you any good, however, in the case of, say, measles, which is so contagious that you can catch it just by walking into a room where someone with measles has been, even an hour after they left.
The only way to protect against things like measles is a good vaccine. Side note: measles was almost eradicated in the world, until the anti vaccine movement entered the scene. Now measles outbreaks are starting to happen again, when there hadn't been any for decades. Why? Because some people are refusing life saving vaccines.
You're a fan of quoting the WHO. Here's their article about measles. Direct quote from that article, "Before the introduction of measles vaccine in 1963 and widespread vaccination, major epidemics occurred approximately every 2–3 years and measles caused an estimated 2.6 million deaths each year."
Unless we get a wide-spread vaccine for Covid-19, it could easily have similar statements made about it in 20 years. But that won't actually happen, because a safe vaccine WILL be developed. And even if people like you refuse to get it, you'll (luckily) still be protected by the herd immunity granted to the community overall, due to most other people getting said vaccine. Herd immunity is explained here (bonus - it also talks about measles as well).
Its just one of those grey spots that only devs can answer. If you trade with it and it dies, does the dormant minion still gets removed from the board?
Maybe this will get clarified on twitter with Dean Ayala or something.
Your opponent has a 5 mana lead on you, and you didnt draw your soul mirror on time. Also you didnt have convincing infiltrator early.
Just bad rng, which is why most decks dont get past 55% win rates in general. This is particularly bad with res priest since their cards are so expensive, and priest cant draw for shit. So you can literally have games where you skip the first 6 turns cause your hands too reactive and expensive.
Just take a break and try again. A general advice is to try climbing with decks you actually like, so you'll play longer and the losses dont feel too bad.

I like how you specifically mention Reliquary of Souls in the Priest list when it's not even included lol
Scavenger Ingenuity in Dragon Hunter
I made some modifications with dragon hunter, to include stuff like Diving Gryphon, Zixor, Apex Predator, Scavenger's Ingenuity and Scrap Shot.
It gives you some options when it comes to tempo, but it can't out tempo demon hunters and doesnt have the necessary value to beat res priest. It can beat any types of warlock, but that's about it.

I love the Yasuo buff!
Normaly when Yasuo appears on the board it is instantly removed. It is very hard to protect him because there are so many ways to deal 3 damage.
Now my Yasuo deck will play out so much more effective!
