Dragonling Mechanic: I think your basic theory around splitting across bodies is based too heavily on what class cards do. Some examples include Shrubadier is slightly above vanilla, Sky Claw is vanilla but includes a buff, Duskbat is a little over vanilla). But class cards are supposed to be stronger than neutral cards. Murloc Tidehunter is vanilla, Razorfen Hunter is vanilla. This choice to buff just seems pretty arbitrary.
Silvermoon Guardian: If this card were a Scarlet themed card, I'd agree with your change, but as the two cards are not thematically related, I think the 3/3 statline is fine here.
Priestess of Elune: Your recommendation here amounts to bundling two basic cards (Chillwind Yeti and Radiance) for exactly the cost of both. There are two big problems with this - first, Priest is supposed to be the best at healing, and having healing tools that are equal (or better) than Priest's takes away from that identity. Second, bundling needs to cost some tax because if it doesn't, playing the bundled card in place of the other two is basically like getting a free card slot in your deck.
The meta right now looks a lot better than before, there is even room for some experimentations.
Losing Leeroy, while i think is actually an healthy card in some decks to have a closure, is one of the best things ever happened. Especially when was drawn by galakrond in warrior or rogue was too much of a bs.
The fact that embiggen druid is losing steam is also nice, don't like a deck that if it has the right card on turn 2 wins the game otherwise losts.
I'm just not to happy about highlander mage seeing more play, luna's pocket galaxy is so stupid, but luckily it will rotate soon. The amazing Reno and puzzle box are cards that i think should exists in the game but not be constructed viable in a high tier deck, but i have to say that i can stand those 2 cards much better than luna's pocket.
Now a question, in the article its said that quest hunter is still played, but i feel that losing leeroy is too much for this deck (one of the few cases were i think leeroy was healthy, leeroy gave the burst to end the game but the opponent was still able to play around it) because leeroy into unleash into heropower was the way to close a game. Someone that is still playing it can tell how is performing?
EDIT: nevermind about the question, i've just read that the play rate of the deck has indeed go down severely; can't say how i missed that part
I like the Bestial Wrath's existence but i would really be happy if they change it with The Beast Within which is a Green-like card of MTG that suits very well with Hunter as well.
I mean, if some new player wants to play a control-ish Hunter, I mean one of bigger hunters, I think that they should use that card for some removal tool. I really like its synergy with cards like Wild Bloodstinger and cards with Rush and Lifesteal. I was using it with Vicious Scalehide + Dire Frenzy to get some healing.
I don't think that it doesn't fit classic also. It fits classic very well in my opinion.
The Beast Within is a bit complicated though in terms of mechanics so I'M not sure it's a good core card.
Also, maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but how does Wild Bloodstinger synergize with either of these cards?
Wild Bloodstinger is just an example of a big minion but also synergizes well. When you play Wild Bloodstinger on t6-t7against an aggro or midrange deck, generally it kills the minion that it summons and stays alive with its fat health stat for most 6-mana minions. So The Beast Within helps with removing another minion on board if you are behind so makes a really good tempo swing.
I really don't think it is complicated. I always believe that hunter needs a card that makes your beast attacks a target since beta which is the core mechanic of hunters in both mmo and rts (wc3) and they designed it on RR finally (!) which I think is too late. Kill Command should have been this effect at start in my opinion. It fits best with its effect and lore both.
I hope, at some time, Blizzard adds it to core set. It is a basic CCG mechanic also. I really didn't understand how you do think it is complicated.
the concept of "double attacking" might be confusing, seeing how it' not entirely obvious how it works with Rush or Charge for instance.
Also The Beast Within was never even considered even when there was a good amount of support for it (Cave Hydra for instance) so I don't think it would really make a difference, not to mention that double attacking isn't a recurring theme in Hunter.

I don't care the sampling of the internet sites and netdecks. I used it in enough times and still using it in wild. what are you on about? The card is objectively bad, it doesn't matter whether you like to play it or not. I'm here to make a core set that fits with Blizzards ideas not some whacky clown set (otherwise I would have just made Warlock an all Discard class for my own sake).

Thank you so much for trying to explain it to a newbie ;)
I just thought that there is enough of RNG in card games already, so this little aspect could be a little more "reliable", but when you put it that way - I start to realise it's not a little aspect... I'll try not trigger so much when it happens to me :)
Overall I still try to figure out how much of luck and how much of skill is needed to win in card games. The luck factor was always a bit of a problem for me in competitive games (i played LOL mostly, when it's almost non-existing), so I need to switch I guess :D
Edit: And thank you for covering something I was about to ask, but forgot :D I wasn't sure if you can draw the same card, or just an exact copy of it during mulligan phase. Now I know :)

ah yes, that's why I removed all the damage from Rogue and Mage decks.
I don't like combo decks in classes that clearly weren't designed for them, at least not in the core set that's supposed to demonstrate the basic idea of the class.
All I know is that I wont be the netdecker and that I like to have access to any deck I want to create.
I hear you, mate. It just feels bad when you craft your own unique deck and then get matched up with an opponent playing a super optimized list copied from an online source. I'm not sure that there's a feasible solution to this problem (If you even look at it as a problem, which many people don't). Guess the most we can hope for is Riot continually working on balance and preventing 'broken' card combinations as much as possible.
I know this will be confusing for new players since it is not a classic mechanic but Kidnapper would have great flavor if it has a text as "Combo: Choose a minion. It goes Dormant until this dies." Basically a Moat Lurker which doesn't activate deathrattles.
I don't know if they've stated something about Expeditions already running when the patch will hit, but if nothing have been said it's far better to even retreat with 0-0 and get a free Champion than keep playing and achieve 7 victories because the rewards will not be so good after Tuesday.
I was under the impression that, since Riot said people would still get the old rewards for expeditions that are ongoing once the patch hits, this would apply to the earned XP, too (In which case you obviously shouldn't concede at 0-0). But I guess this is still up in the air.
I've never saved up any expedition tokes, anyway (They're the first thing I use every Tuesday), so it's a moot question for me. But I'd say anyone who has the chance to use some of their unused tokens should do so as quickly as they can. I highly doubt Riot is going to reimburse players with something better than the current expedition rewards.
Sometimes I wonder if they aren't making a huge mistake by hiding these heroes behind a paywall like that.
Like...I would love to have this and I would probably even consider buying it as just the skin....but for that price...with a bunch of packs I don't really need because I'm saving up gold anyways? That's not something I could ever justify.
I guess whales are profitable enough to keep catering to
In MTG, it is a bit different. You draw 7 cards, if you don't like them, put all of them to your deck and draw new 6, you can mulligan it again but draw 5 cards and 4 and 3 and 2 and 1 same with physical version. After a bit they changed that system for digital version (MTG:A) but i left the game so really don't remember how they changed it.
Btw, When you mulligan, it doesn't give the same card to you, it gives another copy of it I believe and only Highlander decks can protect you from this kind of situation which are the decks that you can only put 1 copy of a card to your deck which isn't really a thing and supported in Runeterra.
Mulligan has its own balance in my opinion. It is same for your opponent too and if there is no RNG factor in card games, it won't be so different than chess-like games and in those games, all players are equal and shares same resources which isn't valid for card games. In card games, like you said in your OP, there are archetypes as Aggro, Control, Combo, Midrange. If mulligan and card drawing RNG are not in games, most of the games will be same and you will know that you will win or lose when you face a countering archetype so you will basically concede at turn 1 which will cause game to death, I mean, noone will continue to play that game. Mulligan and drawing is all same in card games. Some card games like Pokemon TCG has some tools to abuse it. There is a card in Pokemon TCG for example, put cards in your hand to deck and makes you draw same amount. That game's system let's you do that and that abuse doesn't really matter because of its system but it will matter in games like Runeterra and Hearthstone. Btw, There is also a card in Hearthstone as Plot Twist, but in Pokemon TCG, there is a different system with trainer cards etc. so you don't spend same resource for playing that card like Hearthstone. There is a different system which might confuse you more right now and takes some time because i need to explain whole system here to make you understand but there is no point for doing that. :D
So, in my opinion, In games like Runeterra, Hearthstone and MTG:A, this card draw and mulligan system is a must that lets archetypes help to recover in rough situations sometimes because of bad mulligan of your opponent.
That being said, any deck that has god-draw and mulligan can beat any deck. That is true mostly and here comes mulligan and RNG on card draws to balance it.
These are half my opinions and half some explanations. I hope you understand my explanations and the points of my opinions. You don't need to embrace them tho. :)
Thanks for noting. Even though SN1P-SN4P is pretty strong in this deck I've decreased the amount of copies to 1. The deck seemed to have 31 cards so I'm assuming a misclick when building it, especially since there are two copies of almost every other card.
No, you should not be guaranteed to not draw the same card as long as you have another copy.. that's how card games work, and that's a risk you take when you mulligan.
In HS it's the same, and also in shadowverse I used to play 2 years ago.
You do not draw the same card but a copy if you have it.
I'm pretty new to card games generally. Always wanted to try one out, but I always felt overwhelmed by number of decks, strategies etc. So when I've heard that new one is coming out and it is going to be launched by a company that really delivers, when promise that their game is free to play, I jump immideitly :) And I felt for it from the start :)
I do have one big problem tho... It's about mulligan system. I don't think anything triggers me more than drawing a card I just discarded during mulligan phase. Don't you think you should be protected from this kind of situation. I feel like mulligan system is the only way you can prepare yourself for upcoming match after you can see what kind of deck your opponent is probably playing. For example you run control deck and face aggro, so you definitely don't want to start with a "warmother's call" in your hand. You dicard it and boom - it's in your hand again :/ I really feel like this shouldn't happen. I even think you should be protected to draw it in first round, so when you discard a card in mulligan phase, you are sure that it won't be in your starting hand...
What do you think about it? Also I'm really curious how does it work in other card games... I can imagine it would be hard to implement in real live card game, but LoR never aim to be one, I believe...
