Yea I like the crimson/vlad thought of the deck, but I don't have vlad or any of the crimson cards and very few noxus cards. I think my first free legendary champion I got that wasn't handed to me was Anivia.
While i don't think that the effect is that good and generally i don't value much minions that take time after you play them before they do stuffs, the fact that this card only cost 2 mana makes me to not dislike this card that much, because the tempo loss is not that heavy.
How about rework Elusive as units that can hit ONCE as "Stealth" units and just create that last tag for units like Teemo or Ezreal. Stealth should be the current Elusive.
I think that will solve must of the current elusive issues.
Alright, I brewed up a new card, I am not 100% sure on the name or powerlevel of the card. But I saw the art and thought this might be funny.
The power level is, unfortunately, really bad. Hemet Nesingwary already exists, with a higher Attack and a targeted Battlecry, and he's a terrible card. I would come up with something else.
I can't think of a mage deck that wouldn't run this card in standard right now.
What i like of this card is the "target enemies if possible" as most of the mage spells have negative effects on the minions it target, the aoe are enemy only and the other kind of spell are secrets or spawn some minion or draw you cards; this means that the spells will generally be beneficial for you.
What i don't like is that even if the spell are good for the player that plays this card and negative for the opponent, the variance of this battlecry is too high, it can win you the game or do almost nothing (and spending 7 mana for a 7/7 that does nothing lose you the game). I think a good variance on RNG is the 1/5 rogue card revealed earlier.
Anothet thing i don't like about this card is that seems an autoinclude, but i can be wrong there
since it's only mage spells it could be much stronger for those AoE spells and extra secrets.
The only weakness though is when you get draw 2 or more cards every time, specially during Fatigue, plus Burst damage at yourself or on your own board.
Imagine Casting 5 Puzzle Boxes in row, the Ultimate Meme Dream.
EDIT didn't read the card properly my mistake, didn't read the "( )" on the card, my bad. so it also does burst damage at enemy only, then it is very strong on empty board on opponents side if you do hit burst damage.
Nice one. A short RNG fiesta. Could be used as mini puzzle box. I doubt it can finish the game (at least not consistently), but can tip the scales in your favour.
I like the Primes. I think they will be like Galakrond - everyone will play them at least in one deck per class, maybe even auto-include in every deck of a class.
The game is already dominated by Fearsome+Elusive+Quick Attack aggro. Now it's even MORE dominated by the same stagnant playstyle.
One of the only cards you could even use early to address that was Black Spear, and now it's considerably more expensive. I get that some people are really color-focused when they look at a card game and see "EVERYONE IS PLAYING SHADOW ISLES AND I'M HAPPY THEY NERFED A SHADOW ISLES CARD" without thinking in terms of decks and archetypes. It was also one of the only things cheap enough to fit 2 answers in a turn to stop a Karma or Dinger, not that anyone cares about Control because of how painfully hated the archetype clearly is by these devs.
(And for the guy who mentioned Get Excited, it's not my fault that card is under-supported trash. Get Excited should probably cost 1 or they need more discard support, and Black Spear should cost 1 as well.)
Even as someone who hates seeing the same deck, more or less, every game... Shadow Assassin is fine. If you consider 1 mana worth a vanilla 2/2, drawing a card worth another tax of 1, and elusive worth another tax of 1, then that's 3. Like you're fine with a 2/1 Elusive that constantly grows to 3-5 attack as a 2-cost, but you complain about Shadow Assassin? Talk about misaimed.
This game's problem is it lacks a Control archetype, it lacks support for such, and if it did have support for such... it has the lazy problem of thinking Control wincons need to just vomit nigh-unlimited value from single cards, like Karma and Dinger. The devs clearly hate Control, that's why Black Spear and Rhasa got nerfed. They, for some reason, think the gameplay of 2 people vomiting aggro and snowball cards at each other is better than two-sided interaction, despite having a game engine that actually supports interaction.
Aggro is overpowered, Fearsome and Elusive are too available on cheap cards, Aggro Champions are disgustingly overpowered, and answers to all of this basically don't exist.
The only time when playing this card is a good play is when you play it in turn 2 or 3 thanks to elemental invocation, which is already not the greatest play to begin with and requires a 2 card combo very early in the game, with one of those card being a 1 of in your deck.
Maybe the rest of the set will have cards that support this one

I think it can't cast Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron like the puzzle box can't cast itself.
Seems overly positive as long as there aren't any more mage spells that have no target or can screw you up.

Shadowjeweler Hanar is a new Rogue Legendary Revealed for Hearthstone's Ashes of Outland Expansion
A 1/5 isn't easy to remove, so if played on turn 2 it will probably survive and get some crazy value in the following turns.
If dropped later you can chain the secrets in the same turn.
We have to see the rest of the rogue's secrets to fully see how strong this card is, for now it looks a strong and fun card
Astromancer Solarian is a new Mage Legendary Revealed for Hearthstone's Ashes of Outland Expansion
and even that one'S debatable since there's a good chance whatever you CC was either small or will get removed by any of the other 4 spells
My thoughts on the patch notes
This patch feels like game killing garbage.
