Didn't realize that was a card. I don't know why I didn't try searching for that anyway.

  • 16 New Undead Minions Revealed for Hearthstone Battlegrounds by Rdu

Man, Greybough is gonna be OP with undead.

  • 16 New Undead Minions Revealed for Hearthstone Battlegrounds by Rdu

Wait a minute. Colossus of the Sun and Colossus of the Moon are undeads? Aren't they statues, constructs or something like that? Then shouldn't Ancient Watcher be an undead too?

  • Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 3 To Begin Next Week - Undead and Dual-Type Minions, New Hero Plus Special Rewards Track & Pass, Upcoming Reveals and Events

That's fine, I guess. I only really play BG every now and then, but the big new features like Darkmoon Prices, Quests and especially buddies are what hold my interest of the mode for atleast a month or so. More dedicated players are probably more excited about a new BG tribe than I am, but more of the same (as in: no gamechanging new mechanic across all games) probably doesn't cut it for me anymore.

Thanks, now for the Nether Star clue.

    Show Spoiler
I found out a Nether Star is a Minecraft item used in crafting Beacons that give status boosts, so I was trying cards with aura buffs.

Eternal Knights will be an interesting build to see pulled off.
I can see Hungering Abomination already nerfed to Avenge (2).

Maybe if there was a default state, or if you lined up certain effects on each one, but I'm leaning on it not being able to.

You got the expansion right. Which other game at the same venue always seems like a bottomless pit for your coins/tokens?

For connoisseurs among us; "Caught any UFO lately?" 🛸

  • Snowpocalypse 3

I'm stuck on You've spent a hundred tokens on it and you still haven't won. These things are rigged I tell you.

It's not Rigged Faire Game, which seems like the best fit to me. Are they sticking with Standard cards?

  • Is Marvel Snap Kind Of A Bad Game?

You play a highly competitive decklist or you lose

I mean, I've been playing with nothing but homebrew Galactus (low tier 2) and hazmat (not even on this tierlist) decks for a month or so now and I'm still able to climb the ladder with them. Knowing when and when not to snap is a important skill that you can generally transfer to all of your decks.

  • Is Marvel Snap Kind Of A Bad Game?

I forgot one more advantage compared to other CCGs is that often in this game you have to think for yourself what to include in your deck. This is facilitated by both the randomness of receiving cards and the days of locations.

This is true in Pool 1 - you can have success with a lot of variations in the deck builds. It's kinda still true in Pool 2. Not really true at all in Pool 3.

Sure, you can choose to create your own decklist of pool 3 cards, based on what you managed to open so far. (Hint: you can also do this in literally every other CCG ever. And the result is always the same in all of them. Read on.) But your list will always be inferior to the tested and proven lists for Pool 3 (same for whatever other CCG you want to talk about). "Homebrew" decklists are always inferior to the netdeck lists, regardless of game, and SNAP is absolutely, 100% not an exception to this rule once you get to pool 3. You play a highly competitive decklist or you have a losing record over time - there is no middle ground.

    Very cool theme, Moondreamer!

I'm a bit disappointed that you beat me to the Beast / Mech card for Hunter, linkblade. I'll see if I can find greener pastures or try and come up with a better effect than you :P Your card would come in very handy in my Augmented Deathrattles Hunter deck for sure, so that's a high bar to pass.

I was thinking of your deck when I created it lol. It's not a perfect fit - if it buffed the Porcupine, that would be better - but they can still work together!

Sorry if I kind of sniped your muse out from under you :/

Slightly late, but welcome back everyone!

Inspired by Scourge Tamer. Undead Beast is actually the most common type combination in the game and Zombeasts themselves are included in this, so I'm a big fan of this combination being playable for Hunter. That being said, this card might be a bit too ambitious, so here's also a solid Undead Pirate card:

    Let the season begin!

Should a space expansion ever come to Hearthstone, this is exactly what it would entail in my eyes. A void full of space elemental lords and giant space dragons.

An idea that revolves around both Dragons and Naga needing stuff to occur in hand, either having it being held or being played while holding this. Also, one of each means Discovering a Dragon and a Naga.

While I understand Wailor's point of view as well, I think it's a good idea to try out adding prizes to the competitions, especially after having read linkblade's additional explanation. Most of us will have a hard time to gather those wins so my guess is the overall feeling will stay as casual as we know it. My one gripe are the prizes for the second and third places: it's nice to reward more people than the winner, but that's almost bound to end up in a tie. Do you already have plans for that case? I'd be super hyped for a showdown competition between tied competitors :D

All that said, I'll be off for a three days work trip starting in two hours, so don't expect me to be as active as usual. I'll try to peek in in the evenings and use the boring phases for some brainstorming, but typing out feedback on mobile is quite tedious so I guess I'll boil that down to the bone as much as possible this week. Good luck everybody!

@linkblade91 I totally get that and, yeah, it might be a good thing. Sorry if I was too negative. It's awesome you're trying new things.

About Deadmoon Raider, I wanted it to be a discount Restless Mummy if you had the two tribes, but I didn't realize you could go infinite. I guess I'm a bit rusty, since it's the first (ish) comp of the season 😅 I know I could achieve this effect if I make the Rush passive and the Reborn a Battlecry, but it feels very unintuitive this way.

Congrats Demon! Those simple looking designs are my favorite but I know they're hard to come up with. Great job!

  • Breaking Down MARVEL SNAP's New Card Sauron - Theorycraft Decks, Top Five Synergies, & Lore!

Oh cool. A sick new card that I won't be able to play until like 6 months from now.

At least the people at SD team are actually listening to feedback. I hope they fix the card acquisition system soon and give us more information on the trickle-down system.

As for Sauron himself, his effect is really damn powerful. Shuri Zero is already a really good deck in the meta and they get this card as additional consistency. Kinda disappointed that his effect has nothing to do with dinosaurs but ah well.

Every person I've shown the card to has stated how much they loved it, and I really couldn't imagine that such a simple card would garner such an overwhelmingly positive reaction on all accounts.

    Quote From Wailor

I'm gonna say I don't particularly like the idea of giving a prize, physical or otherwise. I think it makes the whole thing more competitive and the best thing of this comps is how casual they feel, despite the excellent general quality of the cards.

I can understand that. I won't say with certainty that we'll be doing this every Season from now on; we're just trying something different to encourage participation. Maybe it works, maybe it blows up in our faces, but we won't know without trying, and right now our level of engagement has been small to say the least :/ If it helps, the prizes are something small, more of a "oh, neat" reward than a "hell yeah!" grand prize kind of thing...if that makes sense.

Regarding your cards, isn't Deadmoon Raider an absurd removal option? As long as you control one Undead and one Pirate (or two of these), the Reborn and Rush will continuously come back, meaning you can trade into an enemy board with this one minion as many times as you can manage, APM style.
