After a long time, I can finally greet a new member to my 500w group - Illidan Stormrage! He is my 7th hero to hit 500 wins, 4 more to go.
Funny enough, I manage to also hit 900 wins with Mage and 300 wins with Rogue (of course I HAD to even the numbers up) and the total of wins end up being 7770 heh :)
My next candidates are Mage and Paladin aiming for 1000 wins, which I hope will be sooner than later. Good luck for your climb all!
Darn, I'm starting to make a habit of missing the first prompt each season. After the post last week I didn't expect the comps this soon so this was pretty much the one week I didn't check (until a couple hours too late obviously), so I'm afraid I'll have to wait for next week.
Don't worry, I'll still be voting. And i'd also like to share what would have been my concept for this week:
It slows down the battlefield to give you time to focus on building your board while harassing your opponent with spells. That + your Hero Power (since hitting another minions will leave both Frozen) should give you somewhat of an advantage despite the effect working both ways.
Don't feel too bad about missing this comp. It's just a prologue for season 6 and there's no prize for winning it. The next competition is when season 6 actually starts and formula of winners picking the next comp themes return
LOR is a card game that is increasingly not only having superficial similarities with magic the gathering, but is also running into similar problems.
Namely, there are too many "set mechanics" being introduced into the game.
Culminating into perhaps what has been one of the biggest failures of an expansion to date, housing the first instance of dead champions.
Both Exodia (Rhyze) and empower (Kayle) don't really work or make sense in LOR as a game.
Like you could say we'll Bard exists and he can hard hand buff all your empower cards. Deck buff exists in freijord and a worse version of handcuff exists in Ionia, and now Targon has buff cards too.
So you should say that Kayle is amazing, she has more cross region support then any other champion in the game, but there in lies the problem.
If none of the synergies are worth pursuing then none of them will be played.
Similarly Rhyze isn't the first exodia card introduced into lor, fiora exists, healing fountain, and bandle tree.
So many of the most exciting cards in the expansion aren't actually the new champions but the pre-existing archetype support.
More ramp, more hallow (eww but yes good), more elite, more spawn for Illois, more self dmg and yes the list goes on.
For the first time in LOR history I'm more interested in crafting epic cards then champions as a free to play player because honestly who cares about this new garbage when you can play better designed decks with more support?
So what is the fix here longterm for LOR? For the first time ever I want to see more in archetype champion support. I want a 3 mana vlad enabler, I want a scout, I want a elite, I want a deep champion, a lurk champion, a daybreak nightfall champion.
In short take that massive league of legends roster you want to feed down our throat and just slam them in as an additional option for an already good deck.
Boom now everyone is a consideration and nothing is dead. While LOR believes the solution to its longterm health is just to delete old champions, I belive the opposite supplement them and stop churning out these one hit wonders.
Just my 2 cents feel free to hit me up in the comments.

I personally think Marvel Snap is a great CCG game. They did all the core CCG things right. The main thing - the gameplay - it's addictive, it's fast, and it's complicated at the same time. The collecting aspect - again, it's also very addictive, good CCG should not allow you to gain your cards that easy, because where is the interest then? I quit LoR after two weeks because of how easily I can get good cards and decks - I lost interest in collecting them. That is not what collecting about. The cosmetics of cards, premium card upgrades - it's amazing. Again, I quit LoR also because of how bad the premium card upgrade looks. It's literally the same card. Why should I care about collecting them? But here, it's like collecting inside collecting. Millions of opportunities to show off one same card. Great idea. Great mobile client. It literally feels good to play the game on a smartphone. It's just I can't say what they did not right. I mean, I obviously, like most of us, I think, want at least a draft mode - that would be really amazing. But I'm sure we will get new modes in the future - the game just came out.
P.S. And yeah, why in the world do you want the game to be another Hearthstone in terms of playing your hand. We already have one. Variety is a good thing. This way more people will find the game they like.
P.P.S. I forgot one more advantage compared to other CCGs is that often in this game you have to think for yourself what to include in your deck. This is facilitated by both the randomness of receiving cards and the days of locations. And in our time, few other CCIs can boast of this. This game has a lot of good cards and interactions that can work under certain circumstances. Variety in many different aspects of this game is probably its main advantage for me.
I would suggest also Typhoid Mary + Enchantress (which pretty much guarantees a location on turn 4 - choose one that the opponent didn't invest in, and DON'T put Zabu in the same one!), plus a Hulk for turn 6 or any other finishing combo depending on your synergies). I'm not saying you're gonna draw Zabu on turn 4 every game, but these are synergistic ideas which pretty much care about on-curve plays, mostly.
Good hits all around personally I would have bumped Aatrox to 7, I still think he does way too much for 6 drop but the nerf to world ender should definitely slow his decks down a bit
Flobbidinous Floop also acts weird: once it has found a target, it costs 4 mana in the hand and shows 3/4 stats. I didn't pay attention to what stats it gets on the board.
This brawl is so fun with so many different directions you can take your deck, I'm glad Blizzard brought it back after so many years but now can we get it more often compared to other more boring TBs
That is actually a great idea which also doubles as a New Years resolution for losing some excess body weight. I will give this workout a try too... and you will be my target of choice! 😂
The image should have been mirrored; the subliminal message here was 42 is the answer to the “ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything,” - also, I'm getting closer to 42 than 24 ..! ^^
[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (Hearthstone Riddles)
Well, Pharaoh's Blessing is definitely delivering some noodle fists, but the rest is leading me nowhere.
Are you sure all this describes just one card? :)
Celebrating the End of 2022 With an Exclusive Hearthstone Influencer Swag Sale + Giveaway
Firstly I didn´t want to participate as I´ve already won the premium memebership, but I like the green sock, so I might give it a try :D
My top 3 fav moments were:
To watch the Worlds, with my favorite Jarla getting to the Top 8 and Bunnyhoppor winning the whole thing - it was amazing to witness!
Same as ArcyroX said before me, the new conversion system for the excess coins for Mercs is a very nice feature.
Adding a new class was exciting in its own, but the deckbuilding potential of the DK class is amazing.
Anyway good luck all and have a successful year! ♡
