Is this something that we just have to wait for the bugfix on? Why do these effects not both apply? Kinda need the extra HP to keep me alive against faster builds, and the scythe to keep my minions out to take full advantage of the "no minions in your deck" effects. What's the deal?
Yup correct. I played both The Scourge and Lord Marrowgar so that would've been 14 undead with those 2 cards alone and the quest only progressed to 7/15.
Oh, for sure. I love the novelty of it. It is just that it is impossible to build something that doesn't go for the distance or isn't pure aggro when Renathal is around. I have you tried playing 3RFrost DK? It is pointless with the meta being what it is.
Updated with added info: the requirement of watching whole 2 hours per pack makes this an incredibly tight window for anyone arriving late to the broadcast. Also the group brackets along with the lineups & decks are in.
And even more specifically, any current Known Issues official forum thread that we tend to link to in any of our "Issues & Fixes" articles, as that's where the developers track the posts the most. Sharing the bugs you find in the comments under those respective articles does also help everyone here take notice.
A lot of designers are also active on Twitter and do respond to various bug reports over there, even if it's not the designated source (so best don't expect anything, but it might be heard).
Every round of my Hearthstone life was starting to end like this;
Opponent has 5 hp, I have 2 minions on board like 3-4 health and have like 16 hp; "Yeah, I will finish this round next turn"; Opponent plays Sire Denathrius, I lose.
I mean, aggro decks had it, control decks had it, combo decks had it, midrange decks had it, token decks had it. I really don't know why they wait for that long to nerf that toxic card.
Because 40-cards decks are fun too. I mean, you can do it on MTG in a different way and opens a huge opportunity for deckbuilding. We need a gamemode for that after renathal leaves or i just will keep sticking on wild more.
Heads up! Grim Patron and Gruntled Patron will be unbanned in a new hotfix that will roll out today. Both minions will no longer leave Corpses. This will address the unintended interaction with Corpse Explosion. More updates to come!
(This is not the final solve for this interaction, still temporary, just better to leave it this way instead of totally banned for the moment. Hoping to get a more final fix out next week that preserves both cards' functionality, without going infinite.)
I do not mind that every class splits into multiple different archetypes but I do think it is an issue when the different archetypes a class plays has no weakness because it uses cards from the other archetypes within that class. I hope the rune system or something similar is added to every class in the future.
LoR is in a much better place than Snap, despite the fact that Snap only just launched. I'll briefly explain why.
1- There is inherently just way too much randomness in terms of locations -- this is intended, so the game is fun and exciting. However, it makes it nearly impossible to have a pro competitive scene. Too much chance that your deck just can't play due to the locations.
2- You kinda hit on this slightly, but you have no idea just how many cards in the game are "problematic" in the way that Killmonger and Leader are problematic. I'd say they printed at minimum 10 cards that should never have been printed.
3- The structure of Snap is such that you really just need to build a proactive deck and accomplish your game plan, while psyching out your opponent enough to win the cubes. The game concept should NOT allow for hard control to be a thing. But due to the types of cards you mentioned (Leader and Killmonger, and at least 15 others), it is entirely viable to just build a deck of hard control, where your only game plan is to negate your opponent's game plan. And it actually works.
4- The game just gets old and stale after a while. It's too samey, even despite all of the location RNG.
Anyways, #3 is the reason the game will fail. They made fundamental, fatal mistakes in some of their card choices. They printed WAAAAAAAY too many direct counterplay cards for this style of game, and it will bite them in the butt HARD when these hyped up new players discover that.
To be fair, druid can be beaten. Ive gone pure pally for a massive divine shield minion fairly consistently, one that resisted the usual turn 5 scales and from there they're just dead. The biggest problem here is that by dedicating yourself to beating druid you're inevitably going to be destroyed by another deck, which in this case is blood DK, nearly auto wins against aggro.
Plaguespreader is an actual card in deathrattle priest. I tried it and its effective and all, but you just get destroyed by other decks like hunter or dhunter. Its actually inconsistent against druid itself because often enough the card only ever snipes one card off my opponent's hand before I die. It really doesn't take alot to be taken down by brann + denathrius turns out.
Druid as it is currently should simply never be allowed to be tier 1. Blood DK is another hot mess, more for what it does to the meta than the deck itself, but that's a tale for another day.
Nice summary. Really don't like they locked every single mystery variant behind paywall. Not that cosmetics are super important, but it is something to look forward to, and in previous season there were 2 on the free track, if my memory serves. I wonder if the sales were so bad they decided for this change or if they are trying to see how much they can push it, I don't know, but not a fan of that decision.
Capping would be an elegant solution for Shockspitter as well, but Team 5 has a passionate hatred for caps, we must infer, because they are rejected at every turn.
Thats fair multiple man is my favorite card in snap, he's pretty much the only card that maximizes the potential of the location system and I'd love to see more cards like him.
But yes the deck is "bad" the predictability od henindal is one thing but also the disruptability just jam Fisk tower in the middle and you dont get to play, death, sanctum also problematic.
Is anybody else experiencing a 40 card deck with 30 starting Health with Scythe and Prince?

Unholy Embrace is super buggy, yes.
If you want to report bugs, the best place is by far Blizzard's forum.

Mogwai Speaks Out About Snap Switch
https://youtu.be/tm9v3NBFQNc
I know personally for me Darken saga pt2 in Lor was when I realized how low impact the new sets were.
Essentially you have the Champs who are meta defining and then you have the bulk aka everything else.
When before if a new mechanic came out it was actually game defining like invoke.
So thats fair I don't think LOR went down hill as fast Mogwai says but I think he's right about the ultimate outcome.
That being said, snap is new ans already has issues of its own.
I think killmonger and leader are problematic cards. There are a lot of really interesting and snowbally one drops that get invalidated by killmonger.
Likewise a lot of interesting six drops get invalidated by leader so that constrains the valid play space and deck building space and play styles.
So yeah my take LOR is a bit over the hill but Snap isn't this perfect amazing card game and has a lot of proving to do still.
