For now, it *is* too good to be true: logging in won't net you anything until they turn the packs on lol. Shop offers are there, just not the free stuff; go figure.
Edit: Free packs were mostly the bare minimum, except for the last copy of Mysterious Visitor I needed to complete the Nathria set :)
Man, this almost feels too good to be true. Like if I log in now and accept it Bobby Kotick is going to sneak into my house to steal all my milk as compensation.
It's very easy to win games when you're still mostly just facing pool 1. New players, simple mechanics.
You'll discover that both cards and decisions matter a whole lot more as your collection level progresses. It becomes much less "just poker" and much more about properly predicting what your opponent is going to do.
And if you want 8 cubes, basically ever, you have to be able to surprise your opponent in some fashion. Otherwise, they will retreat.
Isn't poker about predicting what your opponents will do
Thats fair multiple man is my favorite card in snap, he's pretty much the only card that maximizes the potential of the location system and I'd love to see more cards like him.
But yes the deck is "bad" the predictability od henindal is one thing but also the disruptability just jam Fisk tower in the middle and you dont get to play, death, sanctum also problematic.
Without giving you a real specific hint this soon™, what sometimes works (as does in this case) is to Google the entire or a part of the clue omitting the scope of the game to get slightly closer to the final answer. Afterwards, combine what is found with the theme of this event and you should be able to narrow down the possible candidate (Runeterra) cards.
Hope this helps, it did for me (as part of my general strategy).
I hate being the apparent first person to ask for a hint, but I've tried every mountain related word I can think of for the Welcome to the Himalayas! clue.
Nice little game, I got to Round 11 at first attempt. Same score at second attempt, I keep forgetting that the difficulty increases at that round. I will try a couple more times to see if I can improve my score a bit.
EDIT: Round 20 is my best score so far. Correct names followed by which specific set are my two biggest hurdles.
To be fair, not many of the core cards saw any play, even after being buffed. And team5 have explicitly set out that their main objective is to get players to play the current expansion cards. So I can see why they largely retained the old core set, and selectively put out a few nostalgia cards like Wild Pyromancer and Acolyte of Pain
They'll likely just make selective removals and additions once again. Wouldn't be surprised since its a lot easier on them to do so. Then again, Im not exactly upset even if that's the case. The only item on my wishlist would be for them to not include Overgrowth and Nourish into core next year.
I really like the design of SeS. Unlike spell only Hunter from the Rumble days, Scythe incentives selectively choosing 3 high power level minions (usually legendary minions) to work with the rest of the deck. Jace and Xy'mox are the most obvious inclusions in the current meta due to the current DH synergies but I'm keen to see if this weapon can keep up after Standard rotation once Jace takes a hike to wild.
Ofc, the League of Explorers have to retire after the next Standard rotation, that's a given. My only hope it that Team 5 replace the whole Core set for next year. Not just some selective cards sprinkled about for each class. The main reason for the core set was to change up the meta and have no ever green cards for the next "Year of the X". Most of the core sets cards are still from 2021 when it was originally introduced. C'mon Blizzard, replacing the whole core set will be more of a positive than a negative and I'm all for it.
Yes. Sorry was typing on the phone before so I didn't fully write it out. While you can't target face with Silvermoon Arcanist, untargetable things like Unleash Fel and Fel Barrage can make quite a swing.
Huh. I'm not sure I'm glad to hear that they'll be animated and colorful. The still, black-and-white Signatures are delightfully campy. They're specific to an expansion's flavor like no other card type is.
I hope that the next expansion's Signatures will be similarly unique, at least. How many ways are there to modify card art? How would you set apart Signatures for Goblins and Gnomes, for instance? Naxxramas cards would obviously be poisonous, green, oozing, but GvG... A mechanical border? A different perspective on the assumedly-smaller characters? Oodles of animated sparks?

As a Swede, this is hilarious.
Vibranium With Movement
I think the reference is to Death's Domain, the location - i.e., that it's a problem because you can't play stuff like cloak and doctor strange there

Easy Starter Plat Pool 1 (OH Snap Flood)
Poeple generally don't care about getting every card. Just getting cards for the decks they want. So the Token store does even that out.
You are matched based on collection level, and there are enough players that the matchmaking won't hickup. Unless you play at 3:00 am.
Personally, I haven't paid for anything, and I don't see myself at a disadvantage. I win about as many games as I lose. A little bit more even.
Diamond With Dino
So you'd run Misty Knight and Shocker in non patriot decks then? Or evenM'Baku?

WIthout Killmonger though, Sunspot and Human Torch would run rampant.

Same here, who remembers card names anyways? It has always been: 4 mana 7/7 or Doctor 7 or 2 mana draw 2 overload 2 😋

I absolutely do not remember card names, so I got to round 8 before it started spewing card names on every prompt, that is where I ended :D
