I knew it wasn't good going in to the deck. My real motivation in creating the deck this way was being too lazy to search for Galakrond, add those cards, and then autocomplete. I guess I just underestimated how not good it was. When the best deck with Galakrond is actually a bad version of a non Galakrond deck with him thrown in, that says a lot.
absolutely fucking broken against any kind of slower deck. imagine hitting a zephrys or reno or even a GULDAN with this on turn 3-4. obvioisly worse against aggro but theres still the the off chance to hit a leeroy or bloodlust with this on turn 3 where they cant hope to play it. im already afraid of it.
It says a "playable" card, so I'm assuming it can only hit cards that they can actually afford next turn
I think this might be something along the lines of some custom designs we've seen beforefor "save the baord state", ie "remove all minions from play ... bla bla, put the minions back in play". Maybe the hero power will summon one of the minions removed at random or something.
1) Dark Prophecy. Solid arena card (remember Arena? that other game mode?). I doubt it will see constructed play, but it's a nice little card for its cost.
2) Shotbot. Uh, am I crazy or is this actually better than Shielded Minibot, one of the best 2-drops ever printed? Super excellent card that I don't like.
3) Chaos Gazer: The word "playable" is tripping me up. Why not say "Corrupt a card in your opponent's hand." We're going to need some gameplay clarification, like if the card knows it can only corrupt stuff with a mana cost equal or less than your opponent's next turn. If your opponent is holding expensive cards on turn 3, will it essentially do nothing? Still, a potential combo disruptor in the late game. Play Malygos NOW or you don't play him at all.
4) Plague of Death plus 5 armor for one more mana? Seems good! What else were we doing with that last mana crystal anyway? They should tell us the hero power as well. Seems like a great card. Near auto-include for the battlecry effect and healing.
I'm sure there are some high rolls that could be amazing. I'll throw it in my Priest meme deck for the odd chance of awesomeness. I doubt it will make much impact though.
So adventures are going back to how they used to be. New meta cards and a unique thought about storyline instead of a randomizer with a fresh skin. Nice.
The wording suggests it will be a random card. It would be amazing if it were discover, but that would probably be too busted and give too much info. I love that there is more hand disruption possibility. I really wish there was a good neutral option for it. I guess this does give Warlock a niche role of possibly having a control game plan and still messing with combo decks. Now if only they had a decent control deck in standard.
Warlock - on which basis are you saying that Warlock won't be viable after Fiendish Rites' nerf? This is more of a preventive change than a deserved one, but I hardly believe that Gul'Dan will not be among the best classes next week.
Apothecary - it's not just a 1 mana bump, but it's a 1 mana bump on a combo card, which is a huge deal: being it so expensive now, you'll be less incentivized to run 0 and 1 cost spells in order to trigger its effect. Moreover, now that Necrium Apothecary is a 5 mana minion, you'll be less likely to play it before turn 6 right? Then why running him together with Mechanical Whelp, a 6 mana unit with not summoning conditions (you just play it: no need to play a card before)? Do you see it now? Apothecary is much slower, and you can't curve Necrium Blade into it anymore.
Yeah you’re totally right- I was working on this article off and on last week while I was on vacation, and it was finished around 3-4 days ago (before the nerfs were announced). Sorry about that!
Yeah, this article was actually finished shortly before the nerfs were announced - still, since it has no nerfed cards in it you can take it for a spin pre or post nerfs, and see how it fares in the new meta too!
I'm giving it 5 stars just because it is a hero card. I really am interested in the hero power. Maybe 2x random damage among all enemies? Love the battlecry.
Nice, thanks for the update! I'd like to start the discussion with claiming that Quest Resurrection Priest is way better than your list suggests. Therefore, Catrina Muerte and Activate the Obelisk should move up, let's say to tier 2? Not sure about Archmage Vargoth and Zerek's Cloning Gallery though...
Proof: hsreplay currently considers the deck tier 1 with a winrate of 53,52%.
They're free, but only for a little while longer (I think similar to SN1P-SN4P), so if someone missed that window my hope is to tell them how important they are to craft.

another useless card for priest. who would have thought?
this is sad.
i think reno battlecry removes minions from graveyard too. thats scary!
Just how bad is Galakrond Priest? Or the autocomplete is broken.

New Mage Hero - The Amazing Reno
I don't get it, but it sounds like obliterating removal, aka remove from the game entirely, even the graveyard.
Or maybe it's just a meme version of Plague of Death, who knows.
Meta Breaker - Team Trees!
no need to apologize, I was just wondering if it didn't feel like a bit of a wasted effort to you
New Paladin Minion - Shotbot
I'll be highly upset if this miniset won't include a Golakka Crawler for Mechs.
New Warlock Minion - Chaos Gazer
It says a "playable" card, so I'm assuming it can only hit cards that they can actually afford next turn
New Paladin Minion - Shotbot
I'm undecided here. Is mech Paladin one early reborn card away from working again? I'm unimpressed, but what do I know?
New Mage Hero - The Amazing Reno
Anyone know if this means it affects only minions in play on the board or does it include any minion anywhere (hand, board, & deck)?

Dont see why that should be an option. With the new quest-rewards you can unlock a chapter every ten days.
Then you'll have the fun and the rewards!

The meta has definitely evolved in the week or two since I completed this. I'll be updating it again after next week's nerfs.

And that Warlock card looks spicy as hell. Finally, some fun new demons.
