A Patches the Pirate that you actually want to draw. This card will make pirate decks early game really annoying with the possiblity of 5/5 or more in stats on turn 1 just like with Happy Ghoul in Warlock (with the coin). Also this time we don't have Golakka Crawler to save us. Pirates are comming for our dragon booty!
Most classes can pay 2 mana to deal 3 damage to a minion, and adding a lackey to hand is worth the additional 1 mana. This card will definitely see play in Galakrond decks.
Overall looks like a more eloquent way of doing what they had to do for China. Buying a Runestone feels much more thematic than buying dust and getting a pack that I turn into dust.
As someone who hoards quite a bit of gold (24k by the time DoD is live), I dislike the idea that the new currency system will have a cap.
It would seem pretty strange that with all the customer friendly changes we got so far they'd suddenly introduce a pay2win/premium currency feature that isn't needed.
Runestones make sense because paying for each arena run in cash is a really awkward mechanic (although introducing a middleman currency technically carries some....scammy tendencies)
I guess we'll see how it turns out. As pointed out this could just be something to circumvent lootbox laws in a more elegant fashion (which isn't a scummy move, because card packs aren't really the same as actual lootboxes)
Either way, I doubt they would introduce Adventures that grant new cards only to immediately hide them behind a strict paywall.
I guess we'll find out soon enough. If this really is just a blatant ripoff then we have yet another reason to just quit the game for good.
Broken statline, for reals, someone at blizzard hq plays shaman and wants this class to be the strongest. ALL THE TIME. not fun tho, shamanstone will be back this meta.
I don't know if I should be worried or not. It depends on who designed the new model: I trust the people working on Hearthstone, but I don't trust Acti-Blizz upper management.
A different currency alone won't satisfy lootbox laws: they'd have to change how packs work, for example showing what the next pack would contain and then refresh those contents every few hours.
Personally, I like the model that Faeria adopted: you get random cards, but no duplicates. So you can get a full collection by opening a few dozen instead of a few hundred packs.
Strong weapon if you use galakrond, obviously. 4/2 is really good at 2 mana and some aggresive type of decks might use this with galakrond just for this effect. Beware of aggro warrior.
I misjudged this guy originally but now I see that he can double Battlecrys or add another ruin to your hand and since ruin is already crazy powerful another one will be bonkers
While I'm happy they've finally addressed SN1P-SN4P combo, I feel like nerfing Mechwarper could have been a better solution since having it there may once more in the future lead to some potential broken combo, like it was now. But better this than nothing.
A pure Deathrattle Rogue deck did never really work, and I doubt that this card will support this archetype enough. However, a deck that is build around Waxadred can make use of this card.
Now this. This is gonna hit the HOT page. Really strong effect and i just love it. We needed an "unfrozen" effect that isn't silence. Even tho the card is kinda bad overall, the effect is LIT.
Could be useful with master of disguise I guess? it mostly just seems like a turn 1 board lock if you have nothing else to play but otherwise its mostly just a worse doomsayer. Perhaps you could buff its hp so it lives more and sweeps the board multiple turns?
New Neutral Minion - Parachute Brigand

New Rogue Spell - Seal Fate

New Hearthstone Currencies Coming to China - Arcane Orbs & Runestones

New Hearthstone Currencies Coming to China - Arcane Orbs & Runestones
I am worried. Very worried, but also curious.

New Rogue Minion - Stowaway
The stats and the effect are coparable to Azure Drake. This card might fit into an Academic Espionage deck or a deck that is built around Waxadred.
New Warlock Spell - Rain of Fire
Decent card. Strong in wild with cards that need dmg to be taken to have strong effects. Not sure in standard, but wild is a must.
New Shaman Minion - Squallhunter
Broken statline, for reals, someone at blizzard hq plays shaman and wants this class to be the strongest. ALL THE TIME. not fun tho, shamanstone will be back this meta.
New Neutral Minion - Shu'ma
Feels weak, but it looks awesome. I get why people want it to work. Sadly, a board of 1/1s isn't as good as it once was.
New Warrior Spell - Ramming Speed
Now this is a fine card. 3 mana for removal of 2 minions, legit good. I like this card alot.

New Warrior Spell - Awaken!
Decent card, not that bad, not that good.
New Neutral Minion - Blazing Battlemage
1 mana 2/2 should always be strong. Aggro and token decks will love running this.
New Warrior Weapon - Ritual Chopper
Strong weapon if you use galakrond, obviously. 4/2 is really good at 2 mana and some aggresive type of decks might use this with galakrond just for this effect. Beware of aggro warrior.
New Neutral Minion - Dragon Breeder
I misjudged this guy originally but now I see that he can double Battlecrys or add another ruin to your hand and since ruin is already crazy powerful another one will be bonkers
New Neutral Minion - Gyrocopter
Meh filler, good in some mech decks but not sure you wanna waste space for this. Good if you get it from rng tho.
New Neutral Minion - Skyfin
Best mf artwork in the whole expansion. Now THIS is how you make a card look NICE. And honestly, not that bad of an effect. Will see play for sure.
Echo Mechanics Update - SN1P-SN4P, Sound the Bells! and Glinda Crowskin Refunds!
While I'm happy they've finally addressed SN1P-SN4P combo, I feel like nerfing Mechwarper could have been a better solution since having it there may once more in the future lead to some potential broken combo, like it was now. But better this than nothing.
New Neutral Minion - Kronx Dragonhoof
Zephrys's E.V.I.L. brother from another mother. Could be the card that makes Galakrond as a concept too powerful.
New Neutral Minion - Hippogryph
Decent filler. Not gonna see play anywhere. Maybe arena. Hard maybe.
New Rogue Minion - Necrium Apothecary
A pure Deathrattle Rogue deck did never really work, and I doubt that this card will support this archetype enough. However, a deck that is build around Waxadred can make use of this card.
New Neutral Minion - Tasty Flyfish
Fun card to try out in wild, but not good enough for standard.
New Neutral Minion - Living Dragonbreath
Now this. This is gonna hit the HOT page. Really strong effect and i just love it. We needed an "unfrozen" effect that isn't silence. Even tho the card is kinda bad overall, the effect is LIT.
New Neutral Minion - Evasive Chimaera
Shouldn't see any play in constructed since it only has one health.
New Neutral Minion - Goboglide Tech
Strong removal for hunter and other mech wannabe classes, will see some play
New Neutral Minion - Depth Charge
Could be useful with master of disguise I guess? it mostly just seems like a turn 1 board lock if you have nothing else to play but otherwise its mostly just a worse doomsayer. Perhaps you could buff its hp so it lives more and sweeps the board multiple turns?
