This card will be played in Galakrond decks just because you have to play the invoke cards to make it works.
That said the card is kinda bad, with invoke the "numbers" come up right ( 4/5 taunt + two 1/1; 3 atk to your hero; add a random priest minion to your hand; add a lackey to your hand; ?????), but nothing that would normally be played in constructed, especially for 5 mana, when other decks are doing broken things.
I hope that the power level of those invoke cards will keep Galakrond decks in check by themselves
It's decent, but people tend to forget Cyclone Mage FUCKING DIED after they nerfed CC.
It has potential because Sandbinder can tutor it alongside Cyclone.
I'M assuming it only counts spells cast after it was played so no Elemental Evocation shenanigans.
The earliest Mage can really snowball with this is turn 5 and that's assuming they also drew Apprentice, Evocation, Cyclone and a couple other cheap spells....which just sounds like a worse version of current Flamewaker Mage (which is garbage)
I don't believe the hype, probably going to end up as a meme deck
Cyclone Mage did die when they nerfed CC...and then it resurfaced when they brought Flamewaker back from the dead. The deck is generally still pretty strong (although fairly high-roll dependent) it just needs SOMETHING to give it a clear win condition. First it was CC, then Flamewaker, now potentially this.
I don't expect this will be a T1 deck (original Cyc Mage wasn't either) but I would bet it'll be somewhere between high T3/low T2 once someone who really wants to make it work tweaks out a viable decklist.
This can’t even be compared to dragon soul... mage spells are just better and mage has stuff like elemental evocation. Also this game is about tempo and playing a do nothing weapon on three was useless this actually has great stats that can deal with early board
Small spell Mage has shown to be powerful in the past, and while this is certainly a powerful card in it, I don't think it does enough to really push the deck past the upcoming competition. A Dragon Soul that can be killed won't cut it. Of course this is subject to change based on the rest of the cards to be revealed, but this alone isn't good enough.
[Hearthstone Card (Dragonsoul) Not Found] was never really good enough, but maybe attaching it to a 2/5 body and putting it into the Mage class (where Cyclone Mage is a playable deck) could make this useful. Unlike Priest, Mage has much more proactive/tempo-oriented spells, so this could be a much more powerful effect in that circumstance.
Less impactful tho (and with a threshshold before synergy), and that's why it will be ok or maybe even good in Standard but off-meta (at best) in Wild.
At first glance this looks kinda promising, but compare it to Dragon Soul, a card which does almost the same thing but is harder to kill: that card saw zero play even when pre-nerf Razakus priest was the deck to beat.
to be fair, that was in a class without weapon tutors, whereas this gets searched by Sandbinder, which is a huge plus.
Priest's setup was also much more difficult and required very specific spells you wouldn't run in any other deck, whereas Mage gets better draw and more flexible low cost spellls.
The real issue is the same as Flamewaker Mage right now. You build an entire deck around a singlle combo that needs to win you the game on the spot or else your opponent will just come back and kill you.
Well Flamewaker will go away when the new expansion comes so they can only join forces in Wild. This card is pretty good; solid stats for a 3-drop and an abusable effect. Could fit some new sort of Quest Mage maybe? Nice to see some new Elementals in the set as well.
This is literally Flamewaker replacement. Instead of damage, it gives board. In a sense, It's more balance and can make the current mage playstyle much more consistent, especially with the sidequest that summons a dragon.
As it was stated by others, this is more of a "win more" card than anything else
If you really want to shuffle copies on your hand or deck, I am sure there are better options than paying 9 mana for a minion played on the previous turn and which has no guarantee to survive until Sathrovarr comes into play.
I gave it a slightly higher rating on wild, since I think there might be more applications to it with the larger pool of cards.
I’m not sold at all by this card. Remember that Priest got same exact effect but on a weapon (Dragon Soul), which is much more difficult to remove if you don’t run a specific tech option with Shadow Visions, Lyra the Sunshard and Radiant Elemental in the same rotation, but never saw competitive play.
therefore, I expect this card to see fringe experimentation but not much competitive play.

That card is like dragon soul + a strong body, except that Mage has enough cheap spells and a strong refill er with mana cyclone. In my opinion the card is at least a 4star card.
New Neutral Minion - Shield of Galakrond

Deathwing, Mad Aspect
8 mana boardclear that might leave a big boi on the board.
Since its function is to clear, I dont think you would mind if it dies
The real question is: does warrior really need more removal?
I dont know! Really good card in arena.
New Mage Minion - Chenvaala
Cyclone Mage did die when they nerfed CC...and then it resurfaced when they brought Flamewaker back from the dead. Another Flamewaker-style card.

Ysera, Unleashed
I really like this card.
In standard it might see play, but im not sure its gonna be a staple after week one. The RNG also affects the playability of it.
In wild I doubt it will see play, there are far better value generators there. In both Standard and Wild normal Ysera is better.
In Arena its pretty good! Not 5 star, since it does nothing when its played, but long term value is always good.
Overall, fun card, not sure if it will be a staple on decks at any point, as normal Ysera is better

Mage Legendary Reveal - Chenvaala
Not a card that will help pull mage out of the dumpster.

New Neutral Minion - Evasive Drakonid
This card is like a nightmare for control decks that heavily rely on spells.
Versus other decks i don't see it very good, because 7 mana it means that it comes maybe too late.
Still the fact that you can discover this when facing control decks is a good thing by itself.
New Mage Minion - Chenvaala

Blink Fox
I will never disenchant my golden copy, even tho I hardly play rogue. <3
New Neutral Minion - Twin Tyrant
I can't see this card getting a place in constructed; it feels strong, but 8 mana are too many so it comes too late.
I'm pretty sure there would be situations where discovering this dragon will be the nuts though.
In arena it feels a very strong card.
Chenvaala
? it does. Without Flamewaker its non existent deck
Shadowverse metas and so on
Ok thanks for the suggestion!
Sathrovarr
A fairly good card, if I say so myself
As it was stated by others, this is more of a "win more" card than anything else

Arena... there are better legendaries, for sure
Mage Legendary Reveal - Chenvaala
dragon soul wasn't really played, but this is in a class that casts spells more easily, but it can be killed more easily...
Mage Legendary Reveal - Chenvaala

New Mage Minion - Chenvaala
Was the priest weapon any good? No, it was awful.
Is this better? Slightly but not that much. Easier to fullfill the requirement in casino mage yet easier to destroy than a weapon.
New Neutral Minion - Dragon Breeder
A cheaper, better stated Zola the gorgon only for dragons (and you can run 2)? i really like the design.
Versus aggro decks you just play the 2/3 on turn 2, you don't need the value.
I'm actually not sure if dragon decks will run this tho, i think we have to play it to see if the effect it's worth it
Mage Legendary Reveal - Chenvaala
Statline is good, dunno if this will survive a round if drop on T3. But don't count this out yet, we still has yet to see the rares and epics.
