Yeah I was ill last week and tried to play the game on a Galaxy Tab from bed ...
Fricking Hearthstone kept crashing reliably in PVP, particularly when there was a key play.
Went 1-2 on those crashes :(
Had a few but not as many crashes on PVE (tavern brawl vs. computer and adventure runs).
Playing on a Steam controller and several feet away from a monitor instead, not as comfy and definitely not as quick as mouse, but at least I won't lose to coding issues
The 100 Dreadsteed thing is easy if you get an opponent that understands and just plays in to your steeds (and you do the same). Happened for me twice but the third guy didn't get it.
Also there is a quest to play 3 tavern brawls for 200 gold. I'm assuming everyone got that too?
When an arena event is taking place, if you leave a run X-2 instead of losing the 3rd game, you will get your gold rewards and an additional arena ticket since you cant have "dual class" against "regular arena" once the event ends
got 625 in 3 matches, the last one was just farming with my opponent. the opponent got the idea from the start and we traded and got Spiritsinger Umbra and filled the board with 13 Dreadsteed and a Baron Geddon on board, it was EPIC!
For some reason I torture myself and continue to try and hit legend each month despite the rewards being terrible and the suffering being exquisite.
I got there this month using Evolve Shaman. For a deck that's supposed to be Tier 1, I still found the climb challenging. Although that probably says more about me than the deck!
Not you mate. Even the best decks have around a 55% winrate. On average that means 166 games from rank 5 to legend.
I hover around rank 4-5 each month because I don't have the time or drive to go for legend (I got it once, that was enough). This month I gave up on ladder altogether and am enjoying arena for the first time in a while because Evolve Shaman is insufferable to play against.
Nice stats, thanks for sharing! It is pretty insane how much difference there is going 1st or 2nd. I mean it makes sence, but still.
I havent played all that much sadly, but i can atest to seeing an insane amount of mages and them not being as threatening as one might think. Loosing Flamestrike and Blizzard is a HUGE deal for the class. Iv seen them play semi-consistently only the Volcanic Potion and very rarely Dragon's Fury. Thats about it. It is very effective to go wide against Mages, but i guess it is effective against almost anyone righ now.
I was excited to play a rogue draft, but for the longest time i didnt even get it offered and then got one and it was abysmal, so that was disapointing, but i must say i didnt see many rogues in general. Wonder if it was just my small sample size, or if the class had a bit lower occurance rate thanks to all the card generation and potential to get Hero Cards, which would be "unfun" for your opponent :) But thats probably just me spinning theories :)
Warlock's Hero Power proved to be probably the strongest one, in a curvestone meta, where card draw is very rare, being able to tap for cards and keep the card advantage is very valuable and being able to not feel the downsides of the self-damaging part as much given you have tools from a 2nd class made this all the more powerful.
this is probably the most boring brawl I've ever played. The rotation gimmick adds nothing to the gameplay. It's just Randomonium, except the carousel annoys the hell out of you.
If we couuld at least have built a deck for this..
It helps speeds things up if your opponent doesn't go face with them and instead actively kills your dreadsteeds. In my 1st 2 brawls the opponent just went face and I was being a nice gentleplayer by killing both of our steeds and I ended up with 50 died. My 3rd brawl my opponent realized what I was doing and decided to not go face at all. We were both at full health on turn 8 and managed to kill 101 steeds between the 2 of us!
I'm not a big ladder player, but a friend mentioned how good Secret Mage was in Wild and I have Aluneth so I figured "why not?" Got from 20 to 12 so far playing a few games each day - crazy win % (not sure exactly since I don't use decktracker) so will probably push to 10 this month then try for 5 next month before set rotation.

What do you mean by "Don't forget to get an arena run to 2 losses for a free ticket!"

It means he was wearing too much tinfoil to read the tweets from the developers specifically stating that it would end at the next expansion.
The Haunted Carousel
I share the carousel annoyance. I doubt if making it constructed would have saved anything for me.
