  • Which region are you most excited to play?

My problem with this game is that there are only so many champions in League, and only so many regions. Unlike Hearthstone which is based on WoW, a massive expanse with vast territories to explore and delve into, LoR is limited to the base game itself. They can only add so many champions to LoR, before they have to start making new ones completely from scratch, which at that point would split it from it's roots in League (which may be a good or bad thing). I feel like LoR will be a strong competitor for Hearthstone (highly doubt it would be the new CCG king, given all the previous supposed Hearthstone "killers"), but unless they come up with a way to compete with Hearthstone's expansion system, the game will become stagnangt.

I actually think that this is the perfect opportunity for Riot to introduce new champions into the official lore without needing them to be represented in League of Legends. It is not really much of a secret that Riot has been working on an MMO, which needs a ton of rich lore, so by using that story and those characters in the card game, they can teach people more about the world and then when it comes time to explore that world like one does with the Warcraft universe and World of Warcraft, it will be that much more familiar to players and honestly, great for building bonds.

It would also make their introduction into League of Legends in the future that much more exciting. Riot has some really special stuff in their hands and I'm really excited to see how they build out this world.

Same answer than couple of comments below: filters will be a thing, yes.

Yes, the ability to filter out content is going to be a thing. You can read more from Flux here: https://outof.cards/forums/out-of-cards/site-updates/1795-a-note-on-supporting-multiple-games-on-out-of-cards.

Nhaa you didn't get what I wanted to say: you gave me so much stuff that I would be a shame if I didn't even try the game

First of all there are only 24 Champs in the game right now out of 146 (with senna confirmed) so there are a few years before they reach the "no more champion space" apart from that they can easily use skins of champions as new cards as they did in tft, is pantheon a dragon? No but in his dragon slayer skin he could be, and there are around 1k skins in league so.. The design space in no problem.

Best Friends Forever, a doggie with taunt and charge that automatically merges with other BFFs and gains their stats.

  • Rock, Paper, Scissors - Turn 4: Win-the-Game, Endless Death, and a Magic Dragon

And if you look closely, you can see the decklists get more and more orange as you continue down.

Yeah, the line should be sloping in the complete opposite direction. I feel like they just threw some random numbers to maker an image, but it coincidentally is entirely wrong.

Would there eventually be a filter where we can split between different card games? Not that I don't want to see either HS or LoR, but it's kinda annoying to see the content of both diluted by each other.

  • Which region are you most excited to play?

I will shamelessly double post to actually comment.

I want to play SI the most I main jungle in league as well as support, and hecarim, Elise and thresh are among my favorite champions also it's a region which specializes on token spam which is kind of the warlock speciality (zoo) so I am going to start there with an elise/lalista deck probably or hecarim/kalista

    Kalista looks really broken tbh.

  • Doom in the Tomb Week 2 - Tavern Brawl & Freebies

It's cheap, ye but the brawl is just a bunch of bosses from the dungeon in normal mode while your deck is super charged from the beginning, there is really not much of a challenge or anything new anyway...

  • Doom in the Tomb Week 2 - Tavern Brawl & Freebies

It's a minion offered to you in the treasures, every time you play one it fuses with all copy's you have either in the deck or your hand, making a big BFF.

It as charge so if you pick enough BFF you can a 20/20 BFF on turn one.

It's also for hearthstone, but it was stated from day 1 it would cover more games hope to get coverage of other games as well - gwent, shadowverse, eternal.. Etc.

Yes please. This is a website for card games not HS.  Which leaves me thinking why isnt there any major content towards MtG but as soon as LoR announces everyone starts loosing their shit.

Im glad to see content about LoR specially cause theres already some established sites for MtG and none for LoR so im hoping to see more for this game

The graph of heimerdinger can't be more wrong, the graph shows a rapid increase from 500 to 2000 while the function is capped both capped at 575 in the non negative side and is actually declining..

Just a tidbit.. Maybe heimer is not that smart...

Wait since when "cant be target by spells" is Flying from MtG? Its Hexproof

  • Obtaining Cards in Legends of Runeterra - Development Insights

I'm sure they'll add a filter eventually. This is just the first time they covered a different cardgame

I'm done. I'm playing arena for the rest of the month. I've never had less fun on ladder. The Shaman BS is too much, and when the rest of games are against Secret Pally or N'Zoth Priest... I miss minion trading and strategy.

I feel you. Really makes you appreciate the rotation and demonstrates why Standard format was a necessary concept

I don't know why you got downvoted, I'm sure it's a good option to customize the news you see.

Any new game can be overwhelming. Just play the game and learn as you go. Thasts how we did it in the past... lol im old.

  • Doom in the Tomb Week 2 - Tavern Brawl & Freebies

If you play as Rafaam, you start with a treasure in your deck that makes the next card you play cost 0 but then it gets removed from your deck. It took me two runs with Rafaam and the right choice of treasures and I managed to get rid of all 20 of my BFFs from my deck. Otherwise, yeah, ruins the fun.

Is this going to be a permanent thing? Can I filter out LoR content? Zero interest in this.

  • Cards From Hearthstone That Made It Into Legends of Runeterra

In all fairness, not copying anything after 5 years of hearthstone is near impossible. Among over 300 base cards there got to be some similarity.

Also, the stats/mana ratio seems to be very close to HS. This makes the cards easy to understand for us hearthstoners and i like it!

I really don’t like the text arrangement in those cards. It feels Strange that the card name is higher or lower on the card dependent on the size of the text.

  • Obtaining Cards in Legends of Runeterra - Development Insights

This looks promising. Certanly better than more card packs or Artifact's weird free market (that failed sooo badly).
