In particular, I'm very much opposed to software patents, while the company was lobbying for them. Not as important as human rights abuses of course, but still something I feel strongly about.
On the other hand, while I was only known to my direct colleagues, as a caster Sottle is a public face for Hearthstone eSports. He might be in a position where he cannot avoid picking sides. It's likely there will be protests during BlizzCon; will he acknowledge those, duck behind the desk, or help Blizzard in keeping them off-camera?
Some problems on android too, game freezes randomly when started. Seems like some other people had the same problem so it's related to the latest patch i guess
It will be interesting to see how much more of this Blizzard will endure before they say something. I think if players rather than casters start pulling out of tournaments that will be it.
Blizzard cracking down on a pro democracy activist to appease chinese sentiments absolutely is immoral. It's not about the amount of suffering they've created but about the stance they've taken.
That's how I see it and that's how a broad spectrum of the community, press and even Blizzard employees see it.
Not too sure why it's "not at all okay" to have a contrary opinion on Sottle's decision - almost ironic actually, considering the whole free speech aspect of this situation.
