Quest Shaman is probably one of the more overrated decks in the game right now. It is certainly good, but, as VS pointed out, it's not as good as its representation suggests it would be.
I don't think you actually read my post
I did. My response doesn't change. Good deck. Overplayed because it's fun (which is a perfectly legitimate reason to overplay a deck).

The best thing we can do is just vote more on decks. When you see something, with a guide, that is good and not a total meme, toss it an upvote!
I do think it is possible people aren't finding the voting easy and I would like to add a prompt when people get to the end of a guide to consider voting on it. I don't think we'll add extra front page deck widgets though, it would use too much space =(
I'll admit I've never tried it, so I can't answer for certain, but I'll walk through my thought process since I did consider it already.
The additional pirates aren't too hard to add, you could always use Sahket Sapper over Blightnozzle Crawler and actually I did initially have them in that slot before I switched the two cards for better consistency. The problem might be with Raiding Party itself since it's just so expensive now. If you add Raiding Party I feel like you'd also need to add Preparation to make it more playable. Preparation would generally work with Sap, Eviscerate, and Raiding Party itself, but is it actually worth it? The answer might actually be yes. It makes stuff like your Edwin stronger and generally gives you better tempo at the cost of value.
What would I cut and what would match-ups would I want more tempo for though? This is where I struggle. Your hardest match-ups are Druid, OTK Pally, and Control Warrior. The kind of tempo the package generates doesn't really help against those classes though since they don't play too many minions which your spells would work against. In the end, you'd much rather have value instead since you typically are already faster against them, so you'd prefer to play a stream of minions rather than potentially draw dead spells or waste mana drawing.
Agreed! The "Hot Standard Decks" section is always populated by crazy OTK decks. Those may be fun, but I'd hardly call them "hot" in the sense that they're popular decks or decks you should be laddering with. Isn't it implied that "hot" decks are good for laddering?
I'm like a semi-completionist. I'll never attain a full collection, but I have every common and rare, most epics, and maybe 75% of the legendaries. I also typically keep a good dust reserve from set to set, so I can craft things I really want when I want them. Therefore, no pressing need to dust Zerus. You never know when you might actually want some random bad card like that.
Quest shaman presents a problem for future expansions though. Every time they release a new Shaman battlecry card or a neutral battlecry card, they have to consider how it can be abused in this deck. I foresee significant problems in this regard in the future.
ofc there are multiple combos but they all rely on specific interaction to be worth running. I beat it on Rogue with Pogo Hoppers because I got lucky enough to get double battlecry anomaly and found a couple Zilliax + the Bar boost that gives you multiple copies of a minion.
Point is that because of the RNG and the vast power differences between certain buckets and treasures certain runs are just doomed from the start
Druid is very flexible actuallly as the quest itself is more of a shell (similar to the ramp package of the past). All you really need are the few enablers + Oasis Surger and Hidden Oasis and you have the perfect defensive shell to fit a win condition into. Right now we have value, Malygos and Nomi builds and it's not too hard to imagine any new win condition fit into this style of deck easily.
Shaman will, in fact, not ALWAYS be good, because they depend heavily on battlecry win conditions. If they don't have another win condition by next year the rotation will destroy them. How does Quest Shaman win without Lifedrinker, Shudderwock, Former Champ, Giggling Inventor. How are they going to win without those? Just spam Lackeys to win?
Warlock isn't as limited as you might think either...it's just that there's currently not a lot of good healing defensive options to justify committing to a Plot twist deck (also the fact that Warrior basically cancels anything you might want to do anyways, but that's not Warlock's fault). The quest is actually pretty neat in the endgame, although it would be nice to have better shuffle options available. THat being said, the ability to shuffle and draw a specific card has potential
Rogue is in a funny spot where the reward is amazing and enables a lot of cool cards (especially Blade Flurry), but the activation is just so hard to pull off consistently (without having to mutilate your deck)
also Warrior is just redundant because it's not good enough to outclass control and not aggressive enough to replace straightforward aggro
I have been sitting on over a thousand dust for a while, I now have 2,000 + and I still don't know which legendary I want to craft.
I have seen Barista Lychen in a bunch of decks and she seems like a good legendary. I also have the shaman quest, and I have seen her in a lot of quest decks. do you think she would be worth crafting?
Maybe. She's not really a legendary I'd build a deck around, more that if a deck has a lot of cheap or powerful battlecries I'll slot her in. She's a utility legendary that isn't all that exciting to craft like Bloodmage Thalnos, Zola the Gorgon, and Zilliax although a bit more niche.
Arcane Tyrants are not necessary (Anubisath Defender is way better. I actually cut the Archivist since it backfired too much. Haven't updated it in awhile, sorry about that. Spitefuls are pretty solid choices, but only worth crafting if you play enough wild to use them. There are big spell decks for most classes you could do.
I have enough dust to craft one and a half epics, I only have one defender, and I am not 100% sure about crafting spitefuls. I will proably play around with phaoris some and see how much I still want to play the archetype after a week or so
So not so. I've beaten the last chapter with lots of different builds. Some just strong and trim (a good "remove 4 minions from your deck" is clutch), some with all manner of broken combos. That one time with Banana Split and Test Subject woo, that was fun.
If Tombs has powerfuller cards, I look forward to powerfuller enemies!

I agree that default should be theocraft or 'Just for Fun'. I would set all new decks to theocraft and you can only change that with an edit of the description. So you even don´t have an option to change on create. Maybe some will just add bla bla and change but so be it. Anything more especially admin reviewed feels complicated.

I partly agree, until we can get more people voting on decks sometimes 2 upvotes will rocket you to the top page.
However I do like that there is a lot more variety than just meta decks with 2-3 cards changed like hearthpwn generally posts.
Maybe adding a promotion for deck voting will help get the ball rolling as an idea

there is no way I would have the self control to keep a golden Shifter Zerus, I salute you for your persistence.

I unpacked a golden Zerus way back when. Garbage tier card, but I kept it anyway, because it makes golden things.
