Thanks for the deck, I can't play it though. I am missing both Arcane Tyrants, as well as both spitefuls and Grand Archivist. Looks like a cool deck though!

  • [Top 100] Necrium Blade Rogue

Would it be viable to add a few more pirates and Raiding Party in order to draw the Necrium Blade more consistently?

How about adding a few pirates and Raiding Party in order to draw the Necrium Blade  more consistently?

  • Reno Dragon Mage - Rank 5 (Anti Quest/Aggro)

Yea.... I dunno man, I'm at Rank 2 and have a high winrate against shaman and druid at the moment, so maybe what I'm doing is correct here, (or maybe it is a bad deck & I'm a hell of a player).  The point of this is to be highlander Dragon, and it's been what's working for me.

  • Can Zephrys the Great tell if you're in fatigue?

God I totally forgot that Zephrys only offers you classic or basic cards.

    Duh.

    Sorry everyone.

  • Golden Legendary!

  • New Neutral Minion - Zephrys the Great

Absolutely worthless in Wild: 2-3 secrets up, doesn't even consider Flare. (Which would be the GO TO CARD in these Match-Ups!). Instead I'm always getting SI:7 Infiltrator, which frankly speaking is ok when playing against 1 (ONE) secret, but 2+x???

Programming is a little buggy here.  What helps is forcing the mana issue.  If you can lower the mana available after Zeph is played to 3 you'll be offered flair.  In an ideal world I would like him to consider both as a choice but they have been good about updating his programming as time goes on.  Forcing the mana issue or setting up lethal is important before you play him.  Also need to consider things like opponent's life before you play him.  Practice makes perfect, but he's a extremely potent when you get really good with him.  And by potent I mean I love Pyroblasting warriors FTW over their taunt wall.

Exaclty like he said! - most of the time i need him for secret destruction it works as Trollbert stated !

and i like it that they still do tests with him and i also think that they will give more Patches in the Future regarding the cards he can give you!

And also as the card says "wish for the perfect card" - does not mean you will get the Best outcome!

  • Golden Legendary!

Hey guys, I just wanted to share something that made me happy today.

I had opened a bunch of Uldum packs without a legendary, roughly 30-35, and I was getting a little frustrated. Today I opened a pack and hovered over a card to find it glowing orange. my reaction was "its about time, this better be good" I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a GOLDEN King Phaoris! This is a card I wanted to try out, but I was a little scared to craft it, and now I have a super shiny version of it! I usually dust golden legendaries because I am F2P, but I think I will keep this guy. for one, he is super shiny, and also this is a legendary I really wanted to have.

I will try him out in a quest druid and a big spell shaman. wish me luck!

This Giants deck is amazing. Any replacement for Clockwork Giant, Mountain Giant, and Molten Giant?

Quest Shaman is probably one of the more overrated decks in the game right now. It is certainly good, but, as VS pointed out, it's not as good as its representation suggests it would be.

  • Hearthstone Hypothesis - Why is Elusive Not a Keyword?

Here we go again. I think it was also Mike Donais in reddit that said that primarily the reason Elusive is not the keyword for 'Cant be targeted by spells of heroes' is because the phrase already does a good job of explaining the effect. That's it.  The minion can't be targeted by spells or hero powers, PERIOD. Why are people clamoring for this to be a keyword?

  • Reno Dragon Mage - Rank 5 (Anti Quest/Aggro)

Personally, I feel like with the spot Mage is in right now metagame-wise, highlander Mage simply isn't in a good spot. Going highlander is inevitably going to reduce your consistency in doing what your deck is aiming to do, and if your goal is to beat quest decks like Druid and Shaman, you need to be consistent. Druid will always have major board control after turn 5-6, Shaman will always outvalue you in a Mage list if you go long. Note that when I say 'always', I don't mean literally - I mean that it's so often the case that you should be planning for it when building your deck.

In my opinion, if you're going to target those decks, you need to be moving away from highlander and moving towards a game plan which those decks can't deal with. Mountain giants plus conjurer's calling is a good way of doing so, since neither deck is overly good at dealing with large threats (although you'd have to be careful of MCT, which Shaman usually runs and a lot of Druids have been experimenting with lately). Both decks pack healing, so you're not going to win from pure face plan - you're going to need to get the board, and to do so in a way that they can't get back with a one-turn clear.

Past that, you're going to need reach to close the game. Sure, Zephrys can grab you a fireball - that's not going to be enough against either of these decks the majority of the time.

In my view, if you want to target these decks, you go for something closer to the Big Spell Mage that's been popping up occasionally - double Pyroblast maindecked, discounted with Naga Sand Witch to give you a 20 damage burst turn. That's your win condition. Then build backwards from there, basically building your deck to be half ways of generating tall boardstates (since wide ones are easily punished by both decks), and half defensive AoE. Giants/Calling, Phaoris, that kind of thing. Keep Alex, drop the dragon package (especially Brightwing!), and have a good hard think about Luna's Pocket Galaxy (there's a reason it was basically unplayed before it got buffed).

Separate to all of that, if you really insist on going highlander, I would at least swap a few cards out. Drop Ice Barrier for something that's going to have a more significant impact, like Counterspell (which is a fantastic anti-druid card, by the way, dropped on turn 4/5 to block a starfall turn). Drop Blast Wave (horribly inefficient) for a Frost Nova to make Doomsayer less of a dead draw in the midgame. Drop Brightwing (ugh) and Crowd Roaster (very vulnerable to all of the removal in both Shaman and Druid) to get some board presence from Power of Creation, plus Conjurer's Calling. Think about dropping Firetree Witchdoctor (due to dropping some dragons) for Khadgar to synergise with the aforementioned. Ysera is also pretty debatable given she won't come into play until the point when both Druid and Shaman will be overpowering you anyway.

  • Lackey'Thun Zoolock

I have been sitting on over a thousand dust for a while, I now have 2,000 + and I still don't know which legendary I want to craft.

I have seen [Hearthstone Card (Barista Lychen) Not Found] in a bunch of decks and she seems like a good legendary. I also have the shaman quest, and I have seen her in a lot of quest decks. do you think she would be worth crafting?

  • Tombs of Terror Spoilers - All Card Bundles By Explorer

I think that it takes your deck into consideration when offering you buckets. so if you take a lot of C'thun buckets, it will be more likely to offer you a C'thun bucket.

at least that is how I think it works.

  • 7 Highkeeper Ra in 1 Turn! 140 Damage!

    Dude, no!
Made it work once, in a friendly. Second one, friend killed me by chance :)

But good try, unfortunately mogu only works in wild lock.

Thanks for the fun nonetheless! :D

  • Deadly Shot

This card should read "Destroy the enemy minion with the lowest attack". If the opponent only has a Mountain Giant on board, it's a sure clear. It allows for more strategic play and less frustration from both players' sides. But I guess hearthstone's flavor is for everything just to be random because it's "fun". Also I'm not salty, I just dislike bad design :)

  • Hearthstone Hypothesis - Why is Elusive Not a Keyword?

Thanks for the explanation, I haven't played MtG much so I wasn't even aware hexproof doesn't disable you to target your own creatures.

  • Hot Decks in OOC

I do partly agree, especially when there are some users who make like a million different OTK decks, most of which the community likes. I don't have anything against jank combo decks, but have several different dumb combo decks on the front page at the same times is a little repetitive.

  • Auchenai Undatakah OTK!

This is incredible, I really wish I had the cards to play this.

How far has this deck taken you?
Can you add the strengths and weaknesses vs other classes :)

Thanks for creating this awesome deck!

  • Doomhammer OTK!

You actually made the deck i had in mind for quite some time, good job! Is Captain Greenskin viable in this deck or is it too slow?

  • New Cardbacks - SEPT2019

Wow, the Dark Moon Fair one was not what I was expecting, it's very colourful!
I wonder if the eye moves?

    Thanks for sharing these.

Calling it - Prince Malchezaar replaced it with a fake and kept the original.

    Quote From YourPrivateNightmare

how do you decide what's a meme deck and what isn't`?

Nobody would need to do that.

The author of a new deck would/should decide between 'Just for Fun' (default) and 'Ranked', with 'Ranked' requiring some decent explanation of the author's experience on Ladder (against Ladder decks, in which ranks etc), with the deck.

If one is unable to provide some decent Ranked experience explanation, then it's a 'Just for Fun' (aka 'Casual'), meme or not.

PS: on the other hand, if one can provide explanation of oneself reaching say rank-5 with a meme deck, it'd definitely deserve the 'Ranked' label.

The label would be a sort of certification of what a given deck *CAN* do, and in turn a discrimination for users browsing the Hot Decks boxes.
