    WTF IS THIS?

Last I checked, dancing partners don't need to be in love. Heck, ballroom dancing often involves switching partners, so you really can't infer anything romantic into it. Even if you could, they are shades with no hint of gender, so it would still not be making any social comment here.

  • Two New Demon Hunter Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's Maw and Disorder Mini-Set

what happens if the opponent has no deck left and has to draw until 5 cards?

  • Three New Mage Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's Maw and Disorder Mini-Set

I believe Life Sentence poofs the target (so no deathrattle/ressurrect)

  • New Demon Hunter Spell - All Fel Breaks Loose

Its fairly bad. In big decks, this card is just sitting around until about turn 9 while the conditions hinder its consistency.

There's some synergy here with cards like Masked Reveler and Sigil of Reckoning, getting some big demons out early and playing this around turns 7-8, but its still so slow for today's game. At best in my opinion, this is just a card to get another Illidari Inquisitor or Xhilag of the Abyss, not necessarily to milk as much as possible from it.

Dont even bother with small demons. 5 mana summon a bunch of 2/2s or 3/3s? Even if all three were Piggyback Imp I'd still be yawning.

  • New Demon Hunter Minion - Sightless Magistrate

This card is just tacit admission on how bad Kryxis the Voracious really is even in a deck supposedly built around it.

Its basically playing the same role as kryxis, tempo and card draw, but functions much better because at least you dont have to dump your hand for it to work. And this card will draw you cards 90% of the time, 5 cards being a good deal, most pure aggro decks dont tend to have hands larger than 4 most of the time.

Evaluating this is simple. If you can play Arcane Intellect with a 5/4 for 4 mana you'd take that deal everyday of the week, and this card can do better. The paltry downside that this card draws your opponent cards is mitigated somewhat by the fact that only hunter reliably have less cards in hand most of the time.

  • New Druid Spell - Incarceration

Its just removal for a class that never really relied on it. Why bother putting something to sleep when you can just ramp to you win con instead?

Most druids rather just rely on Druid of the Reef, or Spammy Arcanist, or just tank it with armor when going against poor matchups like aggro. Against anything midrange they'd just rather ramp, play Scale of Onyxia, topior, etc.

But that said, this card is dangerous as a discover option for a class no one bothers respecting removals in. Merely by existing this card has affected gameplay, and that's basically the only good thing to say about it.

  • Two New Druid Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's Maw and Disorder Mini-Set

Discoverability is really the problem. Druid is unfun in part because its spell pool is very high-utility when it likely should be all over the place. (Compare to DH where there are plenty of spells which literally do nothing or actively set you back). Incarceration won't need to be in decks to steal games. We had a lesser version of this problem with Priest not too many years ago and Team 5 made sure to squash it there; they seem to lack that concern with Druid.

  • New Druid Minion - Attorney-at-Maw

Its so bafflingly weak and redundant to print something like this for druid that I truly feel that the only reason for doing it is to thin out the choose one card quality for druid.

At very most it'll fit into aggro druid, because being able to value trade or single silence might actually be useful in certain metas, like aggro mirrors, etc. But in most cases, you'll rather just play anything else really.

  • Two New Druid Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's Maw and Disorder Mini-Set

The fact that DH doesn't have a huge suite of cards that go dormant in order to buff themselves (training) or force other cards to go dormant (attacks on their mana or the result of dueling them) is a remarkable flavor-fail.

  • New Mage Minion - Contract Conjurer

Anonymous Informant on 2, double secret on 3 and a 6/6 to boot. That's just insane. Basically this card is just a free 6/6 in a dedicated deck, why wouldn't anyone play it?

Fortunately secret mage cant draw for shit so chances are good we'll not really see a 6/6 on 3 very often. But if you somehow get Counterspell and Objection! out along with this on 3 then that's just such a massive tempo play we'll forgive its lack of consistency.

Secret mage may get to tier 2 right now, on the back of this card.

  • New Mage Spell - Life Sentence

Even if it just poofs the minion away (and therefore not triggering deathrattles) its still just a discover option you rather have than being something you'll toss into your deck.

There's no control mage right now that doesn't already play the millions of freeze cards, skellys, and Rune of the Archmage to top it up. This card simply doesn't fit into the deck, not even in XL decks.

That said, its an excellent discover option that can do things, particularly since outside of freezes mage really cant stop giant minions.

  • New Mage Spell - Objection!

Alright, this card is 5 stars straight not merely because of the power level but also because you now need to test for it everytime your opponent plays something as innocent as Ice Barrier.

The level of stupid this card posses is simply absurd. Makes one feel that you need Ram Commander in every deck now just to avoid being ganked by this bs. There's simply too many good minions you prefer on curve, and there's really not many decks playing cheap enough minions to avoid skipping a turn doing nothing.

Also, this card spits in rogue's face. I'd gladly pay 1 extra mana just so Kidnap actually does what this card is going to do, instead of remaining that piss pot it is now.

  • New Shaman Minion - Torghast Custodian

Siamat is better, Al'Akir the Windlord is better, Walking Fountain is better, the list goes on and on.

The chief failing of this card is that its too expensive and conditional on your opponent's board. If they have only 1 minion you're technically gambling for this card to not be an 8 mana do nothing.

Just about the only good thing this card has going for it is that its a big monster that will likely take two value trades, but is this really what shaman needed? Just play Insatiable Devourer, which costs 1 more but can actually win the game for you.

  • New Shaman Minion - Framester

There's just too much rng involved for this card to ever be good enough and ironically stuff like these are specifically designed to not be good, because imagine having to skip a turn because of this horseshit. So why even print cards like these, if its not fun for the opponent to suffer through and hardly going to put anyone on the edge of their seats because of consistency. At least similarly infuriating cards like The Harvester of Envy and Immolate allows you to choose when to play it.

That said, there's stuff you can do with this card to increase your chance of fuckery. Bolner and Brann + Macaw with this card is simply stupid fun. Not likely to win you many games but I guess that's the whole point isn't it?

  • Two New Shaman Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's Maw and Disorder Mini-Set

    Staff

Not only that, it will screw with Dredge too.

  • Three New Mage Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's Maw and Disorder Mini-Set

    Staff

    ****** mage ******** ******* ******* ******** ********* secrets ******* ******* :D That's about what I have to say about these cards :D I am not looking forward to this.

  • Three New Warrior Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's Maw and Disorder Mini-Set

it's a lot worse than dirty rat since you are losing a 2/6 taunt (worth roughly 3 mana), but only saving 1 mana.

  • Two New Shaman Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's Maw and Disorder Mini-Set

Sounds like you pretty much understand it perfectly. The only exception would be if the opponent gets to draw cards on your turn, but we aren't exactly being threatened by the existence of any Mill Shamans.

  • Two New Shaman Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's Maw and Disorder Mini-Set

You are not wrong: cards like Framester, Curse of Agony, and the Bombs from Warrior can all turn off Highlander payoffs :)

  • Two New Demon Hunter Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's Maw and Disorder Mini-Set

I’m actually excited to try out All Fel Breaks Loose as a win-condition. I just need to run 2 Inquisitors in a Fel DH deck and let them die, then re-summon them over and over again with Jayce and this spell for like a million dmg over the course of the gam

  • Patch Preview (September 28)

Just gonna go through every card that was listed.

    Nerfs:

Viego - Yeah like you can hit his initial stats and it won't matter too much because he's a grower not a shower.

Hate spike - mystic shot for 1 might have been an overstep

Thousand tales - too much card advantage with no down side could just cycle and it would be fine

Riptide sermon - yeah 1 face dmg is fine for this card and it will still be great

Concurrent timeliness - rasa fraza hurmergurd sorry little freak out there for nerfing this meme

Harrowing - yeah one card shouldn't be so game winning

Mark of the storm - once again the fact that a one drop wasn't only mystic shooting and stunning he was get exciting was probably a bit much

Rite of calling - yeah particularly problematic when the card tutors for bontu big o dog God at 22 stats, so a nerf here is nice

Decimate - back to back decimate is literally been a game defining play pattern for as long as I can remember at 6 mana its a little more taxing for the aggro player.

    Buffs:

Leona - yeah haven't seen daybreak since its literal release great buff target

Tahm Kench - yeah soraka tahm shouldn't feel so bad to play and win with

Nocturn - honestly this deck is really close to being competitive with Diana so this buff might really matter

Master Yi - God yes 12 dmg in Ionia is impossible, and if you run him in noxious as a combo piece the deck suffers on the control spectrum so making him easier to turbo is good

Fiora - Grapler gonna be happy that she goes back to a 3/3 and at those stats is legitimately frightening and thats good she should feed on grandma bunny to keep the deck in check

Swain - probably gonna make it easier for him to land on 5 leveled so it's more of a gangplank level threat

Sun guardian - really hard for daybreak to close put games so big overwhelm plus stun is a good combo

Illoi - honestly still a really good card, and reverting her nerf will make her great again, but the tenticle smash nerf will remain for balance I personally don't play that card in Illoi anymore

Morning light - more daybreak stuff

Ohrn - once again he's a damn good card already but has weaknesses to stun and bounce say 8 levels off 8 dmg swing then he's guaranteed to come down on 7 pre leveled and threatening overwhelm

Solari Steilacorn - hasn't been a card but might be a valid healing choice for daybreak into aggro.

Vilemaw and twisted tree line - Kalista fearsome with the ghosts hadn't been a deck so absolutely throw it a buff

Eula, paper tree - kinda the meme portion of thr patch but every great patch need meme buffs so that makes me happy

Shireking spinner - I love this card for flavor give actual spider tribal a threatening follower and it wasn't that bad to begin with

Ritual of renewal - can be 6 mana and then you try to double cast with karma worth experimenting

Rippers bay - it's the only bad lurk card so absolutely make it do something

Lethiathan - 8 drops in this meta need to be game winning and its initial overwhelm stats of 5 is too low for where thr game is right now

Magical journey - its the Bard grandma card that defined the archetype, except it was bad and nobody played it maybe now it cycles?

Realms caretaker - more meme buffs which is good

Rock bear - midrange landmark hasn't been a deck for a looooong time probably a yeti now and that's very strong

Fun Smith- pushing the new equipment synergy to jam up your spell dmg

Mammoths- these are the bad freijord transform cards and while transform is better than people think it could use a finisher

Wind singer - units that bounce is a very blue magic mtg kinda card and it's over priced in LOR

And thats it for the patch

I would pre-rate it a 8 for very good. Hits what it needs to, buffs underplayed Champs, and followers, and some fun meme stuff.

No romance in Hearthstone art? Oh come on, the Shadow Waltz-ers are ~clearly~ in love.

  • Three New Mage Cards Revealed for Hearthstone's Maw and Disorder Mini-Set

It is clear that Mage is the winner of this release, and honestly after the last mini-set they deserve it. That legendary was so bad lol...
