  • Another Hearthstone Team Member Joins Second Dinner

At first I thought that "YoungWook" was just a misspelling of "Yong Woo"

  • Emerald Spellstone - Post-Nerf Discussion

Definitely warranted a change.  Still a viable card.  I'd say that's the definition of a good nerf.

Now that can be quite interesting indeed ! Has anyone got any sort of info on the type of game they're building ?

First glance of the new expansion mechanic, Twincast!

When a spell with Twincast is played, it generates another copy of the spell in your hand. Similar to Echo, but it does not disappear at the end of your turn.

  • New Hearthstone Expansion Revealed - Rise of Shadows!

My expansion has arrived! Seriously though, loving the theme of this one, and I'm looking forward to seeing old mechanics return.

  • The history of Mage

This will be an overview of important archetypes throughout the history of hearthstone. Updates are coming!

    Beta:

    Freeze mage

    Frozen giants

    Release:

    Minion based mage

    Secret mage

    Nax

    Deathrattle

    GvG

    Mechmage

    BRM:

    Flamewaker Tempo (machinegun)

    Later:

No-quest Exodia, Quest Exodia, Giant Quest, Mill/Fatigue, Reno, Elemental, Aggro Freeze, Murloc, Odd, Odd Secret, C'thun, , Big Spell, Control

Some are probably missing but I find it interresting that mage has had every archetype represented, from the fastest aggro to grindy control and otk combo decks. The class has historically been weak at proactive midrange and controldecks, partly because the class had been relying on neutral minions from the midgame onwards. More reactive tempo playstyle decks have been viable several times, however, mainly because of strong secrets synergies and flexible burn spells like fireball and frost bolt.

Some archetypes have gone through big changes through expansions and nerfs, this will be explored more!

  • New expansion on the horizon!

Alright so here's what I want to see.

All the villains were imprisoned and a greater force (What up Yogg?) breaks them free. They spend the first expansion escaping and starting to cause some terror. We end up with the second set being just pure terror and the final set is us finally putting them all away.

Since Yogg is involved, we end up with some beautiful creature art in the first set.

I just want some damn Old Gods involved! Also, Khadgar for playable mage card pls.

Remember, it is possible to collect your own card so Khadgar playing Khadgar makes sense.

  • Apex Legends

It is currently my drug of choice when I play the video games.

I was initially hesitant due to the whole EA thing and just knowing they were going to find a way to ruin it but so far, it just feels like the League of Legends monetization system so I'm cool with it. The make it or break it will be the upcoming battle pass which was leaked to be around $10. It also includes a hero though so my real question is, how will that hero end up being available for F2P players? Will they have it available immediately for the in-game points or will it be exclusive to pass holders for the "season".

Hit level 40 last night, so I'm only a couple a levels off Mirage now though so that's pretty cool. I too unlocked caustic first, the traps were amazing in theory but I couldn't find a proper use for them with my preferred playstyle.

I love how fast the game is. The movement is as smooth as Call of Duty Black Ops 4 (amazing movement omg) but then the shooting is miles ahead of Fortnite. It still doesn't hit the mark that PUBG does for me, but I can't even play PUBG now because it feels like you're playing a slug.

  • Welcome to HearthStation

Looks pretty sweet so far!  Like the layout!

  • Apex Legends

My wife got me to play this game with her reluctantly. I regret to admit that it is very fun and i keep playing it. I hate EA, but the developers are cool, as is the gameplay. I unlocked my first additional legend, Caustic, but i sort of wished i had chosen Mirage afterwards. Fortunately i read that Caustic is getting buffed. Anyway, has anyone else gotten into this lately.

  • What Inspires You To Build A Deck?

Questions to those who enjoy building decks in Hearthstone:

    • What sort of things lead you to construct the decks that you do?
    • What are some common strategies and combinations that you really enjoy playing and iterating on?
    • In the past, which mechanics or interactions really caught your attention and made you want to try them yourself?
    • Do you prefer building new lists from the ground up, or iterating on existing archetypes?
    • Has the meta ever influenced you to try building something new to counter it?
    • When you get an idea, does it typically involve a particular strategy, or do you focus on a card you like to build around?
    • Do you make use of tech cards often, or just play a particular list as is?

Questions to those who avoid deck building:

    • What is it that you dislike about deck building, if anything?
    • Has anything discouraged you from trying, or lead to you giving up at building a deck?
    • What do you feel is the most intimidating or difficult part to building a viable deck?
    • Do you find it more difficult to build decks in the constructed or arena game mode?
    • What do you typically do when the weekly Tavern Brawl requires you to build a deck?
    • What sort of tools or features do you think would motivate or allow you to build decks of your own design, if any?

  • New expansion on the horizon!

The teasers have developed an interesting concept and it seems many are excited about the possibilities. Especially with the recent leak of Dalaran on one of the cards, there's a lot of talk about Violet Hold. I for one have a good feeling about the direction they are going with the lore of these new sets. Any bold predictions before they spill the beans?

  • Another Hearthstone Team Member Joins Second Dinner

Looking forward to see what they produce. I suppose from one perspective it sucks that all these people responsible for making Hearthstone what it is leaving Blizzard, but from another it's cool that there will be some people who may take Hearthstone in a different and better direction.

  • Hearthstone's Next Expansion to Feature Dalaran

Definitely hyped to see what this is all about. The last few sets didn't really do anything for me and I played very little. Hopefully the Year of the Dragon will change that.
