Interesting how they've gathered all the antagonists from the most recent expansions plus one of the last adventures to award cards (after the $20 drop on the purchase of it), plus one minor character that only appeared in the trailer and art for the Whispers of the Old Gods xpac. Threading the xpacs together should have an interesting story, I believe.
Exciting acquisition by Second Dinner. Shame that the Hearthstone team is continuing to lose some of their oldest people, but this new year feels like it's going to be such a refresh for the game I don't think it matters that much.
Good luck to Second Dinner on their development with Marvel!
One great thing about the upcoming rotation is that many of the most powerful decks in Standard will be hit.
Thus, cooler but less powerful decks currently, such as Mech Hunter, might actually see some play if they keep the power level standard as the sets released in the Year of the Raven!
I think we will have to see what cards r gonna be added to the mix. While i like mechs a lot, midrange approach just doesnt seem to cut it atm. There is some potential for a surprise burst, but not that big. Rotation of DK Rexxar will def weaken all hunter decks, so there will have to be something else to give you that extra power. Would all the bombs be enough? Hard to say.
You might want to add Missile Launcher for the ultimate combo with Venomizer, or just as a board clear in general (can also kill off bombs in two turns). I know it might be kinda slow for the deck, just a thought :)
It won't lose much with the rotation and I'm planning to give it a real try on ladder once the new expansion hits. This deck snowballs pretty fast and has quite some burst potential even if you lose the board several times. As usual with hunter, draw is an issue which can at least partially be solved with Cybertech Chip. As long as mass silence is not a thing, I'm very optimistic to make this work!
What do you think? Any ideas how to further improve the deck?
Thanks for the love! ❤ User profile stuff is currently a very high priority because it's one of the coolest parts of customization available. You've probably seen us admins with custom avatars already, the support is there we just need to extend it to a user-facing form.
The negative votes on forum posts is currently a bit of a test. It might end up being a positive which is why I wanted to try it, though there isn't any penalty yet (like hiding low voted replies) and I don't know if there will ever be for the forums. It's important that people feel like they can discuss stuff on the forums without penalty.
I would like to add in reactions at some point though which might make votes on forum posts not needed. Similar to how they're done everywhere else on the web - with emojis - it would give us a cool way for people to show appreciation in many different ways and also scold those that are being a bit too Kappa.
Eventually we will allow people to see who positively voted on their content, though that isn't currently in the works and we will never showcase negative votes to anyone other than staff to prevent the harassment potential.
Lots more to come, pushing out updates as often as I can to get more systems in place. Hoping we'll see some more friendly faces real soon!
I know the site is obviously still in Beta stages, many more things need to be added (like being able to edit my profile as a user and change my avatar :P) and this is just another opinion, but wanted to make you guys know mine as a very long time user and great fan of Hearthpwn and its community. :)
The site looks pretty good so far, love the color scheme, the "atmosphere" in general, and especially Derpcorn, hehe. :P I'm not a super fan of negative votes in forums and not being able to see which user/administrator gave me an upvote or downvote, but I understand why you decided to implement this system in all places here and I hope it's for the best. I really love this initiative on your part, I think it's fantastic to have a new and more organized place for our beautiful community and I wish you sincerely the best of the best (yeah, Rasmay Bolton's numer one fan can be honest from time to time too XD).

I dont mind reusing past characters, if they do it in a clever way.

Mech Hunter in standard after rotation?
Hi there,
there's a standard version of mech hunter which already shows some promise in the current meta:

Emerald Spellstone - Post-Nerf Discussion
Emerald Spellstone is still a solid card.
Thankfully, such a nerf prevented crazy combos with [Hearthstone Card (Thundra Rhino) Not Found] - 12 damage of charge on Turn 10 is pretty insane.

The EU only stuff isnt much better :D

Yeah I really don't know how many people want Hearthstone branded basketball shorts but hey, maybe market research says otherwise.
