Sule - Toy Captain Tarim Comment

This is interesting: The first half of Tarim is obviously going to be used as a buff for a smaller friendly minion, and the second half as a debuff for an enemy minion. A neat little two-for-one for aggro pally; I think there's a ton of gas for that archetype so I'm fairly certain we'll be seeing this guy around. (sidenote: one of the great tragedies of Baku-era standard was that Odd Paladin was so good that the obviously busted 6-Cost Tarim was close to an afterthought).

Did it have any to begin with?

Certainly so! I really enjoyed the PVE nature of the game with the occasional PVP battle mixed in when we were getting close to a new unlock in the guild. But, man, I just lost touch with the game. It was fairly quick to get through the main part of the campaign, with a little resistance in the last few zones but it was to be expected. My problem began when I figured out how Heroic worked.

Heroic was awesome and I wish I had of started it sooner because it would be been an insanely "profitable" thing to bash through for those sweet upgrades, instead of relying on Arclight Surges. But then I 100% completed Elywnn Forest and the bastards gave me a limited-time shop deal that was just impossible to say no to.

And that's how they get you every single damn time. I haven't completed any other zones on Heroic purely because I know the deal will be too good to pass up and if I was having fun, I'll be more inclined to make the purchase. I don't mind buying stuff that is good value and paying for the games I play, but Warcraft Rumble just feels so bad with their monetization.

It's not as bad as some other games. Clash Royale has a pretty shit monetization system. Clash of Clans, which is one of my favourite mobile games of all time, makes it difficult to play for extended sessions without paying money; Of course I just started two other accounts to get around that lmao.

But yeah, the guild died because everyone else stopped playing and I have logged in once in the past two weeks. Heroic cheesed me a bit and I just wish there was more to do in the game. The PvP is kinda bland, though I think that's largely due to the small minion pool available. One unit being releases every few months doesn't feel fun enough. In fact, I don't really ever see a need to change strategies all that much which might be the problem.

I think there's very good designs in the game, but it needs something more. What do you think?

In this brawl you'll be given a hand full of cards that contain card names and you will need to match the card names to the minions that are on the board.

• You have more spells in your hand than there are minions, so don't expect this to be easy.
• If you make a mistake, the board resets!

Just an odd observation on my part, but while checking what stuff I’m missing in each set, I noticed that the four new Rumble minions they added to the Core set are also craftable as Legacy cards.

I’m not sure why that is, as it breaks with how other new cards in Core have been in the past.  But the interesting part of this is that if you craft the Legacy versions, they are usable in Twist right now.

Worth it?!  Probably not.  But I said fuck it and did it anyway!  [Hearthstone Card (Gnomelina, S.A.F.E. Pilot) Not Found] isn’t bad as a board clear, and the inclusion of Night Elf Huntress in Odd Paladin this morning helped me clear taunts for lethal.

So they are situational at best, but in the right situation they can be nice!  I really like Huntress because one of her three hits can go face.  So you could clear two minions to help control the board and also deal 3 face damage with one card.

What an awesome addition to the game! There have been a few times I've wanted to move my trees but it just ends up being a money sink instead so I live with it. Live with it no more!

Advertisements

• Mobile users that are logged-in will no longer see the video advertisement.
  • I realize this makes Premium accounts slightly less interesting to have, but the video ad on mobile is just such a poor experience. Everyone is now incentivized to login to no longer see it! The unit makes us a large portion of our monthly revenue though, and over half our traffic is mobile, so we need to be careful about this.

Navigation

• Our navigation has been overhauled to, hopefully, be less awful.
  • Navigation has been a massive problem on the site since our launch.
  • This overhaul changes it so game navigation only appears within the concept of a realm.
• Mobile and Tablet users should always be able to easily access News and Realms.
• The new tech that powers our nav also allows us to more quickly update it since it isn't hardcoded.

Hello guys, I've created a lot of Rogue decks for upcoming year and expansion. One if them had the more potential than the others so wanted to share with you too and wanted to know the parts that i missed if there are some so I seek your opinions about the deck.

The deck is here; I wrote all of the gameplan in deck's guide, will copy/paste here aswell;

Gameplan / To do list;

• Draw as many as possible with using pirates with Toy Boat
• Make Clearance Promoter to hit at least 1x Eviscerate
• Hold at least 1 copy of Sandbox Scoundrel's mini.
• Try to draw Sonya Waterdancer and 1x Cover Artist until we have 7+ mana.
• At 7 mana;
  
  
• Play Sonya Waterdancer (4-mana)
• Play mini of Sandbox Scoundrel (1-mana)
• Play Cover Artist with its cost decreased by Sandbox Scoundrel (1-mana) to copy Sonya Waterdancer
• Play 0-cost Cover Artist which Sonya Waterdancer added to our hand.
• Now we have 3x Sonya Waterdancers on board so we could play our 1-cost Eviscerate which is decreased by [Hearthstone Card (Clearence Promoter) Not Found]. (1-mana)
• We spent our 7-mana and dealt 4-damage to face but we still have more to do.
• 3x Sonya Waterdancer should add 3x 0-cost Eviscerates to our hand. Play them all to their face to deal 12 more damage.

As you see, this is the only basic version of the potential of the deck, you can do even more with more mana and more copies of the cards. The combo's potential depends on how many mana and copies of cards you have on that moment.

At its max, it would be like

• Sonya Waterdancer (4-mana)
• Mini of Sandbox Scoundrel (1-mana)
• Cover Artist (1-mana)
• Cover Artist (0-mana)

At this point DO NOT play a 1-cost Sandbox Scoundrel even you have in your hand or your hand will be floating and you can't add more Eviscerates to your hand ! This is the important part.

• Mini of Sandbox Scoundrel (0-mana)
• Cover Artist (1-mana)
• Cover Artist (0-mana)

Board is full, even tho we could play more. We should have 3x Cover Artist + 2x 1-cost Eviscerates in hand. 1x Eviscarate should be ok tho.

We have now 5x Sonya Waterdancer on board.

• Play a 1-cost Eviscerate to get 5x 0-cost Eviscerates (24 damage)
• Play another 1-cost Eviscerate to get 5x 0-cost Eviscerates (24 damage)

We dealt 48 damage by playing our combo, it would be enough to finish the game.

This is the rogue day today. Couldn't find anywhere to write so I opened this thread.

I'm waiting for this day, I am expecting to see some thief rogue cards and maybe some heropower changers but probably won't get what i want and it will end up Pirate Rogue for this expansion.

There is only 2 of them tho. It will be Pirate Rogue or Thief Rogue or both at the same time with Kobolds. King Togwaggle as Thief rogue legendary and another Pirate one I guess.

Hey hey, it's a new month so it's time to talk about what you're playing. Me personally, I'm enjoying the reveal season for Whizbang's Workshop. I'm excited that maybe I'll play more Hearthstone.

I was pretty excited to play the "journey through Hearthstone" Twist arrangement for this month, but I seem to be missing quite a few Legacy cards. Loot Hoarder, Spellbreaker, Stranglethorn Tiger to name a few. I can see them in my general collection, but they are not available when building my Twist deck. To add insult to injury, I faced an opponent who played 2 out of those 3. Anyone have this experience, and know what's going on?

With a fresh in-game event starting today, what are you most excited about for this year's celebratory event?

Twist's new format that gets a start on March 1 is a great idea. One new expansion being added to the card pool each day, allowing you to login and play a different era of Hearthstone every single day sounds like a lot of fun. Bring on the Sludge Belchers, Naxx!

Now that we're a month into Palworld, I was curious about where everyone is at and if you're still playing the game?

The lack of time has been rough for myself so I haven't been able to come anywhere near beating the game yet, but it has been an enjoyable experience when I do get a minute to play. I really feel the grind though. I've caught so many Pals and I've caught them each 10 times and I feel like I'm in a spot where the new Pals I need to catch are a bit out of reach with my current army since leveling them is taking a while.

I've got some solid automation setup though so I'm happy I no longer have to worry about creating Pal Spheres and I've got  what feels like infinite food and metal too. Some of the more later-stage resources I haven't setup dedicated stuff for yet, but I haven't needed ridiculous amounts of them which is good.

So, are you still playing? What are you hoping Palworld adds in their first big update?

Holy shit am I scared of this movie. Borderlands is one of my all-time favorite franchises, and if this movie does the series dirty, it just might be the end of it. I have so many questions, but I'll start with these:

- Why is Roland played by Kevin Hart? He is usually a wise-cracker, something Roland most assuredly is not.
- Why is Krieg in this - as "Tina's bodyguard" for some reason - and not Brick or Mordecai, the other original members of the game?
- Isn't Cate Blanchett a little old to be playing a late-20s, early-30s character? I mean no offense, I'm just being honest about her age.
- Why do some of them look weirdly...clean? Krieg's mask in particular is super off in this regard compared to the rest of his body.

Maybe it'll surprise me and be a hit...but I definitely, currently doubt it. The one person I think will nail their role is Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis, because she's that kind of person who would go all-out for a goofy movie such as this. Jack Black might be okay as Claptrap, although they literally could've just gotten the voice of Claptrap to play the character again.

They didn't do one of these last year so it's great to see it return!

I am probably too excited to see this format coming to Twist in February, especially considering that it'll likely turn into a one- or two-deck Curvestone format but I still want to give my thoughts on the cardpools and possible decks available to each class based on what I've been able to see digging through the Collection. From my understanding, all Common cards from Core, Caverns of Time, and Naxx through Galakrond's Awakening are legal - if I'm wrong about any of that some of this analysis will be incorrect. Just kidding, all of this analysis is incorrect regardless.

Key Neutral Cards

Lot of good 1-Drops are legal, including Dire Mole, Blazing Battlemage, Fire Fly, and Zombie Chow. Also, get your klaxons blaring because Undertaker is not only legal but back to its original text. Pair it with stuff like Haunted Creeper, Dancing Swords, Hench-Clan Hogsteed, some eggs, etc. for a big ol' blowout. If I was guessing what card would be banned in the first week, it would be Undertaker. Look out for Fungalmancer and Bonemare as well.

Druid

Token Druid looks VERY viable: Rat Sensei, [Hearthstone Card (Anodized Robo-Cub) Not Found], Living Roots, Mark of Y'Shaarj, Mark of the Lotus, Enchanted Raven, Acornbearer, Blessing of the Ancients, Soul of the Forest to name a few. Druid might be one of the few classes with the ability to go long with Ramp into Jade summons and Armor gain from Ferocious Howl.

Hunter

Let's get the Huntertaker cards out of the way: Webspinner, Fiery Bat, Kindly Grandmother, Play Dead. Mad Scientist also pairs with the Deathrattle package, but can do damage in a Secret shell thanks to Explosive Trap, Freezing Trap and Bear Trap alongside Cloaked Huntress. Glaivezooka is useful. Bottom line: don't expect Hunter to be anything other than aggressive.

Mage

Mage is on the verge of playing with Secrets... except the Secrets she has access to are all pretty bad (Ice Barrier and [Hearthstone Card (Flame War) Not Found] are solid, but Duplicate and Frozen Clone are slightly less so). Burn Mage is cute, but might need help staying alive against other, more aggressive, decks.

Paladin

Y'all, I really want Secret decks to be a thing and Paladin might have the best shot at it with Avenge, Never Surrender!, [Hearthstone Card (Autodefence Matrix) Not Found] and the buffed Hydrologist to go along with Mad Scientist. [Hearthstone Card (Shielded Mini-bot) Not Found] is also a thing, and with the buffs Paladin has in his quiver (Seal of Champions, Hand of A'dal, Silvermoon Portal), it might be unwise to count Uther out.

Priest

Priest has some... viable cards, probably. A lot of buffs, and we shouldn't overlook Radiant Elemental except there isn't a whole lot to do with Elemental. Maybe there's a [Hearthstone Card (Topsy Turvy that I'm overlooking.

Rogue

Pirate Rogue looks like it could be real: Buccaneer, Bloodsail Flybooter, Southsea Squidface can all team up with the neutrals Ship's Cannon and Parachute Brigand for a good time on the high seas. Secret Rogue is also kind of a thing, thanks to Cheat Death and no thanks to Sudden Betrayal. Oil Rogue might also work with Tinker's Sharpsword Oil and Deadly Poison, but might lack the card draw to be really good. And no one should ever forget to mention Shadowstep when it's legal.

Shaman

I, for one, welcome our new Shaman overlords. When you can start your deckbuilding with Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem and Flamewreathed Faceless in a format where most other classes are scraping the bottom of the barrel for playables, it feels like it's going to be hard to top you. With Novice Zapper, Crackle, Sandstorm Elemental and Surging Tempest as other options, Overload Shaman looks like a top threat for Pauper Twist. However, there is some hope for Evolve Shaman, with Mutate and Explosive Evolution, although not enough to be worth building around.

Warlock

Zoo, as was expected, should have some legs in this format. Flame Imp, Kobold Librarian, Malchezaar's Imp - they're all here. Darkshire Councilman can pair with Possessed Villager, Doubling Imp Imp Gang Boss, and Fiendish Circle for a huge body. Demonfuse, as a 2-Cost, can be palatably included, as can [Hearthstone Card (Darkbolt) Not Found] and Demonbolt.

Warrior

Warrior is probably our best hope for a Control deck, with Execute, Ravaging Ghoul, Death's Bite, and Blast from the Past. Finishers are a problem, but maybe Fatigue can be a real thing. Pirate Warrior, while probably not as good as Pirate Rogue, still has a chance with guys like N'Zoth's First Mate, Sword Eater and Sky Raider.

Not gonna lie - I'll be surprised if anyone reads the whole thing. I also won't be that disappointed if I'm the only person who cares enough about Pauper to analyze the format before it comes out, but here's the quick fix if you scrolled all the way down here to see how long I blathered:

TL;DR: Shaman and Druid have a lot of good cards for familiar archetypes (Overload Aggro and Tokens, respectively). Undertaker is probably going to be a problem and my guess is that Hunter takes advantage of it the best. Paladin and Warlock have enough power to be a threat in the right context and Rogue (if it can scramble together enough card draw) might have a good time with an Oil build or just go straight Pirates. I don't think other tribes like Dragons and Elementals have enough support, but maybe Mechs (which I didn't mention above) will be a decent midrange deck. Priest and Mage look completely lost, while Warrior could have a chance if it canf figure out the best way to Control the meta.

Your thoughts?

It seems that patch v0.1.4.0 moved the Ultra Sphere to Sphere Assembly Line II, it is no longer possible to craft it via Line I, and the tooltip in tech tree says so as well.

I was crafting them on Line I just yesterday, so this has to be one of the things the patch did, but I did not see this mentioned in the patch notes. Just letting you know to watch out ;-]

I just about died laughing at the vegetative turtle. It's so great to see folks laughing at the Pokemon situation and how Nexus Mods banned Pokemon uploads (for very good reason). I love how moddable games are now thanks to almost everyone using Unity and Unreal. It just leads to such great moments.

• The Garden's Grace now gives a minion +4/+4 (down from +5/+5)
• Thaddius, Monstrosity's effect now makes your odd / even cards cost (2) less (previously (4) less)

Here are my thoughts:

Velarok, the Deceiver: Took me by surprise. I rarely see this card played, and when I do, it isn't super impactful.

Shattershambler: A good change. I've been on both sides of this cheating out Scourge Illusionist which then cheats out Drilly the Kid. It's still a strong combo, but not quite as fast.

Cactus Construct: This card is absurdly good for a turn 1 play, and I think the nerf is appropriate.

Herald of Nature: Also a really powerful card, and I like the change. I've played a lot of Priest recently, and with this change, Lightbomb will clear a lot of boards it couldn't before.

Pendant of Earth: I have no opinion on this one. Haven't seen it played at all yet.

Shattered Reflections: I think it's a fair nerf. I've used this card quite a bit as a Priest, and it can be pretty busted at times. After this nerf, it's still playable.

Dew Process: I have no idea why this card has been nerfed, and I don't think it's going to change much.

Boogie Down: This card has been one of Paladin's best tools recently, building strong early boards and streamlining your deck for bigger, better draws later on. I'm glad it's getting toned down.

The Garden's Grace: I would have liked to see a change to its cost or cost reduction, rather than the stats. When this gets played for free, it feels REAL bad. I guess it's more fair now, but will still be oppressive.

Thaddius, Monstrosity: Ok, this guy HAS to be dead now, right? The previous nerf seemed to have killed it, but no, people found a way to do some crazy OP stuff with it anyway. In its new state, I can't imagine it gets much play at all.

Deepminer Brann: LOL, no nerf for you. Come on, Blizzard, this is just ridiculous.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where pageviews were not calculating correctly.
  • This was not a wide-spread issue, any missing data for views is lost.
• Hearthstone deck listing now loads properly.
  • This was particularly annoying to track down the root cause of the problem.
• Guides that were previously broken now load correctly.
  • Those are some great looking Warcraft Rumble guides, link!
• RSS feeds from the old site now work again.
  • RSS clients must be able to handle redirects.
  • If your RSS client doesn't, update the url to include "realms" in the path. Example:
  • https://outof.games/hearthstone.rss -> https://outof.games/realms/hearthstone.rss
• Comment links work again.
  • The site was getting a bit confused about which type of thread it wanted to go to.
