It seemed really great in the beginning when you don't see the opponent rank and you think "cool, I'm matching against opponents with my winrate"... but I reached legend since yesterday and I thought of playing some meme decks (as you do in legend). But then i got bored and I started to play seriously again and since I'm legend I can see my opponents rank. I've been destroying diamond 10 and 9 opponents and possibly made them gave up from ladder. And it doesn't feel good at all. Why am I not matching up against legend players for so long? This guys got no chance. I would not have felt good knowing that I was matching a good legend player if i was diamond 10.

I've been climbing the wild ladder with Spiteful Hunter due to the wonderful new card Nagrand Slam and have been really enjoying the climb so far. Has anyone else tried out this archetype? Is it better to go for a beast subset or dragons? Thoughts?

So I was buying packs from the latest expansion (AoO) and bought them by bunches of 10. After buying 20 packs with hard-earned f2p gold, I decide to buy some more. Then I realize packs from Ashes of Outland are no longer being offered in the shop and I had just mistakenly bought 10 packs from Descent of Dragons :'(

After logging off and back o, packs from AoO were available again. Is this a hack prevention strategy from blizzard's server? I wonder...

Too bad for my wasted gold. But hey, on the 10th DoD pack, I got a golden Chenvaala. So...karma ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now, this is my personal opinion, but personally I think monks should have been the new class. They're fat, lazy, drunk pandas pretty much the opposite of demon hunter. They could have been more control-oriented requiring chi and stuff, heck they could have still added outcast and called it feng shui or something. We have several important monks from WoW and lots more lore characters for a Pandaria Expac we already have Lei Shen as a hero. Lili could be a legendary and Chen could be the hero.

Monks have several playstyles in wow being drunk and staggering off damage to take it later, flinging mist to heal, and doing cool wind weaving stuff. They also have their statues that could act like shrines or something. THEY CAN LITERALLY SPLIT THEIR BODY APART INTO ELEMENTAL FORMS! 

TL:DR I think monk should have been the class instead of Demon hunter since it would probably be more on the control side and easier to balance/play against, but its early maybe DH will get fixed real soon.

Posting this up because I haven't seen anyone mention anything in these threads yet! Hope everyone enjoys - SO EXCITED for this set to drop! Here's a video summarizing the newly spoiled cards!

My first impressions are that Scout creates another layer to the attack phase that will make it more difficult to prepare/plan for an attack to go the way that you want as the defender. As an attacker, you know have a tool to better set yourself up for success. I like how Runeterra has made it a point to make another level to the game similar to poker in trying to read what your opponent does or does not have and then trying to bait it out. I think thus far, it has done it the best of any card game I've seen and Scout just adds to that!

Otherwise, I think the remainder of the cards are all OK, but you can't fully know until the remainder of the set is out. I do think that the Elite w/ Barrier & Scout will certainly give Elites a much needed boost - hopefully they see some more support as well! 

What's everyone's thoughts on the new Scout keyword? Good? Bad? Busted?

Just made it (exactly :D ) to 8000 in Battlegrounds and then I found the post here from a month ago that from 8000 you are in the top 0.1%?

Anyway, was not so difficult to climb when you play more conservative and you still win the lobby sometimes in that way. 

You only end up bottom of top 4 when RNG f***s you really really hard.

Hi, there is something "wrong" with how blocking enemy units works in this game.

sometimes everything works normal, sometimes i can't find a reasonable explanation...or maybe I'm just missing some "basic" information.

-i block an enemy unit, the player use Whirling Death on my blocking unit, killing it and letting his unit hit face (even when i already "confirmed" the blocking)...same scenario using different removal like Get Exited!BADCARDNAME my unit still blocks the enemy unit.

-the player is attacking with Anivia "2 damage to all" + another unit, i block the other unit with a 2hp unit, the player use Might on that unit, Anivia kills my blocking unit and his Might boosted unit hit face...again same scenario with different enemy interaction and i manage to block the units even if they die to Anivia's AOE.

Is there something I'm missing ?

Currently having a lot of fun trying demon hunter in wild. With 1 mana hero power and occasional cost reduction from skull of guldan suddenly some cards with inspire became much more interesting.

Anyway, with Baku you get an upgraded hero power, which gives you 2 attack instead of 1.

But, if after mulligan at the start of the game your leftmost card is eye beam, it gets outcasted, which means it costs 0. Suddenly, your Baku does not activate and you get a normal hero power! 
Do you guys think this is how it should be?

It's just isn't the power level of the class is off the charts even the last expansion dragon hunter got 0 chance against midrange demon hunter it's too good dunno what blizzard was thinking when they put all those insane cards in one class...

I played it for a bit it feels unstoppable even when skipping turns for being greedy with outcast, I think we will see it nerfed this week it's really not ok to be that strong I tried some other decks as well they didn't compare to DH in the slightliest..

hit list? the 4/2 for 3 that summons 2/2s , the 10/6 dormant demon that destroys the board and is too insane, the 6/7 rag lady that CAN attack as well..

the [Hearthstone Card (skull of guldan) Not Found], rogue needs to invoke galakround 3 times AND pay 7 mana to get the same effect but DH? just have the card in the left or right of your hand lol.

I mean.. yes you can push the class but those cards are nowhere near fair to other classes.. looking forward to playing the other classes when DH gets nerfed until then.. getting to legend with midrange DH.

seeing people playing token DH or big DH or anything but midrange or highlander is just a mistake play the cards that are busted.

So, for some reason, every card game under the sun has decided to release an expansion in April, and Mythgard in no exception (in theory... might be delayed because of that global thingamajig). Now, Rhino hasn't made any announcements apart from their road map a while ago, so everything I'm about to spoil is both unofficial and SUPER early access, some not everything is final (especially the art). In any case, all you have to do to take a peek at the coming stuff is copy the content of the spoiler below and go into the game to Play->Puzzles->Import. You'll see the new card, a new Power and even a new keyword. Enjoy!

Sorry if this has been posted before. Today, some hours before the expansion release, I got upgraded version of demon hunter hero power from Sir Finley of the Sands, thought I should share.

It’s called Demon’s bite, you get +2 attack this turn for 1 mana

It will be nice if they get some feedback to make improvements and so on.

Hearthstone Collections have arrived in their first iteration just in time for Ashes of Outland. We'll make this a quick update post.

• You can find them under your user dropdown on the site navigation under "HS Collection".
• You cannot currently share your collection with friends / other community members.
  • We'll be adding an account permission at a later date to enable showcasing your collection to the world. Default off.
• Calculations are performed client-side so we don't murder the servers.

Important Notes

I regret to inform you we don't have a client available yet for automatic syncing of cards. I know this is incredibly disappointing for a lot of you, especially considering there isn't much time before Ashes of Outland hits to input collections manually. To say the last few months have been tight on time would be the understatement of the year.

Also, the goal was to allow you to find decks using the deck search feature on the site by using your collection data. This is not live right now because the site needs to be monitored during a time where there is less traffic (not an expansion launch) so we can stay online. We've had a lot of downtime recently (any downtime is unacceptable to me) and although the problem has been fixed and we won't run into the same issue again, these calculations take quite a bit of processing so I'm not confident turning them on right away. I'll likely enable these calculations for Out of Cards Premium users first, so we can get a better idea at how the site handles them without turning it on for everyone. I don't have an exact date at when this will happen.

The Future

• Desktop client for syncing collections.
• Adding cards to your collection from deck pages.
• Improved interfaces
• Pity timer tracking

These are my example minions that I think could create a Spell Damage strategy in Battlegrounds. Even though Spell Damage by itself does not do anything in Battlegrounds, by creating Spell Damage payoff minions, Spell Damage becomes a valuable keyword. I also included some dragons and Divine Shield minions in these cards in order to make them more flexible and able to fit into multiple different gameplans. Cards like Tarecgosa and Dark Summoner, for example, are playable without additional Spell Damage.

Having looked at my pack tracker, I find I've opened 78 packs without a legendary.  (And 12 epics which is also below average.)

This is possible because it's across different sets and 3 regions.

But it's still pretty bad luck - but that's Hearthstone.

So I usually wait far too long until I craft those great legendaries I never open. Tomorrow though I’m thinking of making an exception, and craft those I really want and hope to open those good ones you want to have but not craft. 
I’m thinking of Maiev Shadowsong (good neutral + old WC3 fave), Kayn Sunfury (probably key finisher for Illidan) and Kargath Bladefist (just too good to pass). 
What  to you think of these?
