Guys, how do you think? Is it worth to spend 1400 gold on first two wings so that I can get Barnes and disenchant it next week? Sounds like a deal because 1600 dust is worth more than 1400 gold. But then I get to keep all the rest cards which are worth even more. Maybe I'll also D/E Moroes.

I've been messing around with hunter and came up with an intriguing idea

One of the reasons the class has traditionally gravitated toward aggression is because of the hero power. What if Blizzard introduced a mechanic that changes your hero power at the start of the game? 

We already have cards that upgrade or change your hero power, and we have quite a few. 

What I am thinking is a mechanic similar to Genn or Baku, where if you have X it changes your hero power. For example, a new rogue legendary could have a mechanic that triggers at the start of the game. I know a lot of people despise those cards and how they shaped decks, but those were neutrals. The new hero power could involve some beast synergy or something. 

Are there any plans to add a “latest comments” section on the home page? It’s one of the only things I feel is missing from the home page, and I think it would be good to bring attention to new comments posted on different pages (cards, decks, guides etc.) to encourage discussion on those pages. 

Just a thought. I know hearthpwn had this feature, and I always enjoyed seeing what random pages of cards/decks people were having discussions on, and joining in.

Anyone else having any success with this archetype? 

The current algorithm for selecting decks on the front page seems to be to sort by votes and then decide tie breakers in favor of the oldest deck. This leads to the same decks being shown for a long time. Even more so since the decks that are on the front page get more views and therefore more votes.

This is not ideal for visitors, since they have to go digging deeper into the site to discover other decks. And it's a bit discouraging for people submitting decks, since it is hard to get visibility.

My suggestion would be to show random decks, weighted by votes. So a deck with 20 votes would show up more often than a deck with 2 votes, but both have a chance of being displayed. It also means that every time a visitor loads the front page, they're likely to see at least some new decks.

Did anyone do anything really crazy? I have the feeling that some non-obvious combos should exist, but I haven't seen anything spectacular yet.

After much difficulty, I managed to use Amazon coins to buy card packs and get a 15-20% discount from buying it bulk. 

I still have quite a lot of amazon coins and my intention was to buy slowly as the new card pack offers from Blizzard came out. 

But it seems the amazon coins can only be used to buy the in game card packs, not the card pack offers from the Blizzard shop directly (i.e. it seems I cannot use my amazon coins to buy from Blizzard shop)

Is my understanding correct?

If so, is there anyway I can still utilise my existing amazon coins for any new card pack offers from Blizzard store directly?

I am loathe to charge money to my credit card again when I have quite a lot of unused amazon coins lying around in my amazon account.

Please advise me step by step.

On a separate note, because I did not start Hearthstone since its inception, I wanted to buy back one of the old adventures. (blackrock mountain) --I still do not have my Ragnaros and I am getting pelted everytime in Hearthstone by the fire god.

I realised I cannot use amazon coins to buy the old adventures too because they are found exclusively in Blizzard store? Is my understanding correct? Please also advise. Thanks a lot.

I've created 6 decks here since joining the site, and as far as I can tell, not one of them has been viewed even once. I'm not saying my decks are so amazing that everyone should be upvoting and commenting on them, but I was hoping for at least a little feedback, suggestions, etc. How do you get your decks into the spotlight? 

Also, there are achievements related to this, and I love me some achievements.

For the past days I'm trying to run different versions of highlander hunter (always with the secret package), but cannot locate the perfect one for standard. Win rates in 50-52% at max and I'm stuck on rank 5 and cannot advance any higher. 

What would you recommend to read/check videos in order to understand how to play with this deck better? Maybe you know the ideal Highlander Hunter deck?

I was playing a tweaked Control Shaman against the new fashion style priest (Heal/OTK etc).

I played Unseen Saboteur against him, when he had a 3/1 Wild Pyromancer in play.

Notea that the former says that you force YOUR OPPPONENT to play a spell, whereas WP says 'After YOU PLAY' a spell (...)

I know that this interaction is 1) rather rare 2) as intended (I assume)

BUT:

The wording is not correctly reflecting the outcome and if I'd been a new player I would be confused. So please change, I guess? XD

two things I think are not present on the UI

some threads are very long (the 80 quest trading and salt thread for example) with no way to skip to the last page or even second to last page, the >> and  << arrows are missing or just a way to navigate to a specific page.

The other thing that is missing is a subscribe/unsubscribe to threads feature specially the unsubscribe to threads you open..

As the title states I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with unlocking Arthas (Beating the Lich King with every class), using  the Uldum standard set. I started playing again this year, last time was during season 1-3, so I have literally zero wild cards and don’t waste dust if I don’t have to. 

I have tried google and the real only advice I have seen is to try murlocs or the below. Which idk what the decks would fully look like, besides a pogo rogue.

Priest (Dragons + Inner Fire)

Hunter (Spell Hunter + Mossy Horror)
Paladin (Young Dragonhawk + buff + Secrets + small taunts)
Rogue (Pogo)
Druid (Jade)
Shaman (Eggs)

Any any advice would be much appreciated.

I think you should consider deleting the salt thread; fresh start and all that.

I'm optimistic that humanity has evolved and it's not really needed anymore.

I hope that tag line got your attention to open this thread.  I am wanted to see what other players feel about a sentiment that I have regarding Casual play vs Ranked.  I am very much a casual player, I think the highest rank I've ever attained was 7.  With that in mind, whenever a new set is released, there are a number of cards that I would love to try, but I do not want to commit to crafting.  Thus the title of this thread....

WOULDN'T IT BE NICE IF... there was an option to be able to theory craft a card and play it in a deck to try it out and see if you want to craft the real thing.  Something like... TheoryCraft this card for 100 dust and it is good for 10 games.  After that, it disappears and you either say, "Well, that sucked.  Guess I'll try something else." or, "I am totally going to craft that Golden!"

What do you all think of this idea, or what WOULDN'T IT BE NICE IF... ideas do you have?

At the early point of each expansion, I want to try so many new decks, but I always end up going through the same routine:

1. Spend a while creating a new deck
2. Queue on ladder; get annihilated by an aggro deck
3. Queue on ladder; get slowly murdered by a control deck over 20 minutes
4. Rage-delete deck
5. Cycle 1-4 ad infinitum

Now, all usual responses aside (git gud etc.), I'd like to know how long other players stick with a deck before they decide to refine it or just make an entirely new one. Especially at the early stages of an expansion cycle.

In short, gimme your tips on how to stay focused on one deck. Cheers!

If anyone is open to try a new TCG I can recommend Gods Unchained. It shares some strategy with Hearthstone and is quite easy to pick up.
