Got a nice finisher yesterday, mostly due to rng but still. Playing spell damage Shaman vs Gala Shaman, I played Vashj Prime wich drew Primordial Studies and 2x Serpentshrine Portal, all discounted to 0 mana. I played the studies and discovered Malygos. I saved the portals for next turn, and after playing Malygos I could burn my opponent with 16 dmg to the face (he was at 12) for only 8 mana. Not a huge achievement by any means, but still felt nice!

I seriously fucking hate ropers. I was to play a quickie with a fast deck at the toilet before going to work, ended up being a 20-minute snoozefest against a priest who roped almost every turn. Still had a chance of winning so I played to the end, just to waste his time as well.

Seriously ropers, you're not even looking smart while pretending to think. You're just being a giant dick.

(Yes, that was salty. Back to my normal polite self.)

So I got Speaker Gidra and Lord Barov, not on the very top of my wishlist but decent enough!

Dragon packs were disappointing, Fel Lord Betrug and two epics including Desert Obelisk...

I just hit the pity timer for Outland packs so I didn't expect much, but they were pretty generous with epics: two Pit Commanders, a Marsh Hydra and a Bladestorm.

Too bad it's Outland packs and not Scholomance... Otherwise I would not hesitate since I don't even have all the good rares yet. #sadface

Willow and Selina were my two first opened legendaries från Scholomance, so I feel you. ;) But nice haul from the packs! :D

Hard to have an opinion without seeing the companions... but a 1-drop is a 1-drop and cheap spells could always be of use for spellbursts etc.

Good early board clear even if it requires combo cards to go off right away. Warrior have a lot of them and could make good use of this. Paladin have less options, but could prepare with some dudes or just use Consecration. We’ll probably see this a lot!

Pretty good mana cheater. Definitely combo potential here for someone to discover.

There are some good options to be discovered, including the primes. Good card

Recruit is always good, this however is quite expensive with the restriction. I guess you could build a deck with a couple of 4-5 mana beasts to get maximal value from this.

Makes you think in advance about your actions. Good way to cheat out rush or an extra attack for minions, if I understand this correctly. Cool weapon with interesting potential

Could be useful to cheat out big buffs or Libram of Hope, but too risky for me. You don’t want to waste an AoE or draw cards like Subdue or Penance.

+ for art and flavor! I guess this could be used in a couple of decks, maybe cyclone mage could make a comeback

Great Card, it’s definitely on my wishlist. Yes you need to combo with a spell, but it doesn’t even need to be THAT expansive for this minion to get great value.

Situational, yes. But it will often be a big guy for 2 and you will still have mana for removal or taunts.

Could be good on occasion, but could more probably dilute your deck with a lot of sub-optimal draws.

Looks really obnoxious to me. Yes, it’s really slow but could snowball and actually weakens the opponent’s board. Interesting design but too much stats imo.

Excellent in theory, very hard to make good use of in reality. To slow and situational. Nevertheless, I like the idea and would like to experiment with it.

Good early removal for all fragments decks. Two obvious deck spots. Decent of its own actually, like a  Penance with delayed healing.

I’m afraid this will be a little underwhelming in the end. It requires a lot of build-up but will definitely be an amazing swing play when prepared.
I also love that ”Soulciology” is a subject at Scholomance! :D
