  • I'm guessing the class/minion type matchups are going to be something like this:

    Elemental - Mage

    Pirate - Rogue

    Murloc - Warlock

    Beast - Hunter

    Demon - Demon Hunter

    Mech - Paladin

    Dragon - Priest

    Quillboar - Warrior

    Undead - Death Knight

    Naga - Shaman

Though I could see Demon Hunter and Warlock being the other way around. Druid could be the one for All-type cards, or maybe that's Hunter and Beasts are Druid.

  • A few errors in this article:

    • The area featured in Teal Mask is called Kitakami, not Kitamaki
    • The siblings are Kieran and Carmine, not Keiran and Carmie
    • Tera is spelled incorrectly as terra throughout
    • Okidogi and Munkidori's names are flipped in the image caption. Okidogi is the dog. Munkidori is the monkey
    • Mask is misspelled as Mast in the image caption
    • The Scarlet academy is called Naranja, not Naraja
    • Unclear if you are stating that Archaludon is the bridge Pokémon (as if that is its official classification), or just that it resembles a bridge. It is officially the alloy Pokémon, the same classification as Duraludon.
    • It is also extremely unlikely that a Pokémon would be shown in a trailer and not be available. Historically, every Pokémon shown in a trailer, including momentary cameos let alone full blown reveals, has been obtainable somehow. In all likelihood there will simply be a new evolution method for any Duraludon caught in the DLC areas or traded in. I don't think you have to be so cautious there.
    • The paradox forms of Raikou and Cobalion have in fact been explained at least a little further. Their names are Raging Bolt and Iron Crown.
  • Lab Constructor just needs to not work on the copies, but idk how they'd word that.

  • I don't think you can say Odyn is too late in the game. Considering he encourages you to fill the rest of your deck with Armor gain, I don't think surviving to turn 8 is going to be an issue.

Also not sure what you mean by him being "too easily sniped". There are very few ways to stop a Battlecry that lasts the rest of the game.

  • Jade Golems but in Paladin? Okay, I'm down. They may not have the infinite value of Jade Idol, but with +2/+2 each time I can see these escalating pretty quickly.

  • What's the deal with wording changing from "Add __ to your hand" to "Get __"? I understand it's more concise, but seems like a weird decision to change established wording after 9 years.

  • Okay I restarted and they popped up. That was weird.

  • I redeemed the loot, got Maiev, Millhouse and Chenvaala automatically added, but no sign of the other 4?? Anyone else had this issue?

  • Fun Fact: There are more cards with "dragon" in their name that are not dragons than are.

  • It took me a while to even realise this thread is talking about Wild, because sadly this is happening in Standard too with Twin-fin Fin Twin and Deathwing the Destroyer. Obviously the minions being Rush rather than Charge means you don't die as instantly, but without even the tools Wild has to counter it, there is just as little chance to fend off the two 12/12s before you die the next turn.

Bliz pls. I just want to play my cool new Colossal minions, not be wrecked by murlocs twice the size :'(

  • Did not expect this to be the card I dreaded seeing before the end of week one, but here we are.

  • There is no refund for cards that are joining the Core set. You get the cards for free for the year, but next year they will be gone again, so in the end you do not lose or gain anything.

  • Very happy to see some classic fun cards back in action, such as the Explorers and Zola. Did not expect to see the likes of Kragwa in a Core set, but not complaining!

  • Murlock was a thing waaayyy back in the early days of Hearthstone, but iirc it was more "fun" than "good"...

  • Tidecaller has been gone for a few patches now.

  • Sweet, ty both

  • I may have missed this somewhere, but how do you actually fill your buddy meter?

  • Huh, definitely did not expect to be mentioned in this article. I'm not sure how I even got all those achievements! I am guessing a lot are collection based??

Anyway, congrats on a great year, OoC! Here's to an even better 2022.

  • The no Alliance/Horde/Neutral indicator is so mind-numbingly dumb. In a year based entirely on Horde v Alliance, where you are choosing to implement this mechanic in a game you have purposefully distanced from canon Warcraft (and are therefore not assuming prior knowledge to be necessary or correct), why could you not add a simple red/blue/grey marker similar to the old tri-class banners?

Also, while we're talking about those items, PLEASE can I have the option to view my team, or just a sidebar popup of it, when I am selecting treasures. Do not expect me to remember what characters are night elves vs draenei or whatever when the difference could lose me the whole run.
