  • I just got killed by my own Solarian Prime. It cast Conjurer's Calling on an enemy minion, which gave my opponent enough attack to kill me. I thought it wasn't supposed to harm you, just the opponent? Why would I ever want to call Conjurer's Calling on an enemy minion save for the most edgiest of edge cases?

  • So this is a weird venting, I'm actually going to complain about my victory. I switched to DH because I wanted a win to get me out of Silver. First game, hadn't tried the tempo deck yet and found myself facing a quest Priest. Things went his way, he kept himself healed and cleared what I put up. I did not have a great start, not at all.

Then I hit turn 6, Skull of Gul'dan. I'd managed to get set it up so it was the left most card, I'd at least managed that. But after that, it was over. Three turn to kill a Priest from full health, with quest completed and a beefy taunt on the field. All because he couldn't deal with the Priestess of Fury I got on the board. Altruis was barely needed.

This is my long winded way to say that Demon Hunter is busted and it clearly needs toning down. And I'm saying that after playing and winning with it. I didn't feel clean after.

  • I hear you. I faced one that had gone through most of their deck, it was close. I set up a couple of taunts to buy me a turn, but I'd forgotten about the legendary that invalidates taunts. So I lost.

Fun and interactive. Truly, I don't know what they were smoking when they gave Demon Hunter's kit the okay. This is not balanced, and that's after a couple of rounds of nerfs!

  • So they nerfed Demon Hunter. But I still die to their small-ragnaros. At least it's . . . not legendary. I'm sorry, what?

  • But it's not just aggro. Demon Hunter in general can do busted things.

  • Having played only a little, I'm already getting fed up with Demon Hunter. You just can't experiment even a little bit because even a good deck gets demolished before turn 10. You must play Demon Hunter. Instead of 10 classes, we have 1.

  • It is an interesting card. But it can't quite work like Lyra, because it can give you spells that don't target. Priest has several of those. And no way to reduce the costs of spells unless you run Galakrond.

  • It is draw for Hunter, that has to be decent. But again, they would have to run beasts. Though, just a couple of really good ones or a full beast build?

  • It's not rush, but it is a 2/1 for 1 and hunter like their aggressive minions. They'd have to go back to a beast build to really make use of this minion. Not sure that's the way they'll go.

  • I think it is playable. There's a couple of board clears in the game that leave the board empty. This is a fine way to both repopulate it and do 12 to face.

  • I want to like it, but I would have preferred continued support for the treant archetype.

  • I hadn't considered it's use in the Druid's sidequest. But yeah, the fact that is a big minion with Rush and an upside should make this useful in an embiggen deck.

Hmm, pretty sure the card that draws you a beast or the one that resurrects a beast will be rotating out. So you don't need to worry about contaminating your rezz pool.

  • Appreciate the giveaway.

As for what I'm looking forward to, apart from the new class, is priest. I'll be trying to make zoo priest again, and almost certainly fail. Dragon priest, I'm not really seeing it. Honestly, I'm not sure what priest will do. But that's half the fun, when you can figure it out for yourself.

And I probably will try to make a pure spell mage. Or Secret Mage.

  • It will see some play through random card generation.

  • I decided not to abuse it. But yeah, this patch was more bug than patch.

  • I somehow missed that. Welp, Priest will never be the same.

  • I think the changes are mostly good, but I'm sorry to see Power Word: Shield go. Priest has always struggled with card draw, making them even more dependent on Northshire Cleric is not great.

  • You are not prepared! For Vengeance!

  • I'm not sure Hearthstone can display enough cards to make Meeting of Minds work. It would have to be 3 or 4 cards that are in the opponent's hand.

  • So, having played it a bit I figured out that you only get three choices per class and Priest is trash. Don't play Priest.
