I'm pretty sure Catch-Up packs won't contain cards from Showdown in the Badlands, they should contain cards for every other set currently in standard, if you look closely at the art of the packs you'll see the symbol of each of the other five expansions.

I have an idea for Hunter myself, albeit for the Wild format.

There's a mistake, you used the Valeera Book of Heroes version of the hero power "Sleight of Hand" rather than the Scabbs' one.

I have had success using an heavy Control Warrior, you remove everything they play and after they run out of cards you can slam C'Thun on the empty board for the achievement.
