If you are going to print this right away, why not keep [Hearthstone Card (Razorfen Raptor) Not Found] around instead? I get that the core cards aren't supposed to be necessarily playable, but at least don't make them immediately redundant.
That being said, this is good because it's one of the few playable 2-mana Beasts which might be important for Tavish shenanigans.
Probably one of the best defensive cards they ever made. You can play it for tempo early and it'S fantastic at stalling early on. The small size makes it also far less likely to be hard removed.
Only issue is when you play this while not having been damaged vs midrange decks, but that's probably not a big concern.
I understand that the Pirate tag carries some weight, but...we literally just got Toxicologist in the Core set. I don't believe weapon damage will be that essential to run both of these.
Maybe Warrior likes it because of Menageirs shenanigans, but they probably have better Pirates
aside from being god-tier in Arena, I could see this in buff decks. Opponents won't really target this unless they can wipe it in one go and if you bufff it in any way that becomes a lot harder to do.
Very surprised that Pen Flinger, Broom and Sword got completely overlooked.
I guess it wouldn't have made sense to go all out with nerfs right before the meta is about to change drastically.
Probably gonna see those on the next one.
Could be pretty good in Paladin in certain situations. Killing this without proccing Noble Sac can be pretty difficult.
Hunter could use it too just because of how many minion based traps they have.
Rather weak against spell removal though, so I wouldn't count on it.
Huge for Murloc decks. They are actually turning into a viable midrange/tempo archetype instead of just being Bloodlust cheese.
The only way this doesn't see play is if Crabrider and Redscale are enough in terms of tempo swings.
Back in the day this was a 2/1. At 1/3 it's way better and as a neutral it has some neat applications for many different classes.
Funnily enough, this would have never been printed before the Core set overhaul (because of Swipe among other things)
I would definitely consider this in Hunter just because of Bola Shot
I don't understand the point of Core set.

Hilarious. If you have any way to protect this against Rogue they will be furious.

That's actually pretty good...but I can't really think of any deck that would make use of this. Could probably fit it into some Wild decks
Arena card, but at least we have pigs again
So I'm paying 5-mana for 5/8 taunt...that isn't even in play immediately.
Just...why?
Pirate Waifu, but the effect is rather bad.
Drawing a card for your opponent is not good. Drawing a good card for your opponent is even worse.
We don't really have a deck that relies on not drawing a specific card.
If it was a 2 or 3-mana card I would consider it, but 4 is just too slow.
Time to coin Ghoul again
Yeah I think Warrior will be fine on the card draw side
Really good by itself, even better when discounted by the Goblin Pirate from Core. Nuts because you can tutor it with Cache.
Looks like shit. Most of the good Zoo minions have useful battlecries.
This would be more useful in Hunter
Good in general, but fantastic with Spell damage because it's asymmetrical. Maybe thalnos makes it into Priest again? Or even Mo'arg Artificer?
That's a very strong effect early, but I don't think you can get that many spells that fast.
Might be the best caravan just due to the fact that it's effect is so insignificant that your opponent just might not bother removing it.
Technically you can do some copying shenanigans and then have a constant supply of spells going, but I'm not buying into that meme
