  • It's so bad that MTGA is not its own independent thing and is just a reflection of the physical game, because devs can't even think of nerfing problematic cards. Banning cards is a terrible solution but the only one they have, and it's rarely used.

    In this sense, HS goes waaay much better, allowing the devs to balance it accordingly.

    • I come and go with MTG.  I like that there's this digital free format because it scratches the itch.  The game is ultimately too reliant on expensive land cards to make a good deck.  Also the lack of randomness in the game (which some people prefer) leads to many games being decided on the draw.  It's annoying to  know on turn 2 or 3 from the board state and what's in my hand if I will win already.  Still, fun enough game for free.  I bought the starter deal to support them for the effort.  

      Would ultimately like if it was somehow reworked to make better use of the digital format.

      • Yes the Dual Lands and now Tri lands are required for the S tier control decks. Takes a while to collect them for free, however if you pick a house that you like you can collect those lands and focus on them.

        I dont think that you know if you are going to win on turn 2 or 3 honestly. That is mainly if you are playing aggro decks like mono red or green stompy. Greedy decks are currently on a good place since there is a lot of control tools. That makes it hard to get into the game for f2p players. However you can craft the cycle deck that runs all commons and un-common cards quickly. That deck can farm in event standard for a lot of gold.

    • Yeah its a problem attached to the physical cards. I dont think agent is a the really issue however, the issue is how ez its to cheat him out.

      I think they need to ban:

      Fires of invention

      Winota is just a gimmick so i dont really care about it. They either win or loose depending on their draws which is just a meme at the point.

      I think the game that can balance things right now the best is Runeterra. However they are not free from unbalanced, take a look at their Burn deck which is optimal with out champions. That goes against the nature of the game.
