Several months ago I wrote an article to highlight some of the cool, upcoming CCGs being developed and Causa was included on that list. This is a free-to-play, strategic card game set in a fantasy world and offers a new approach to the genre. Niebla Games, the developer, is almost ready to invite even more players into the world of Hegemony when they launch on Steam Early Access on May 26. Gameplay

In Causa you sacrifice cards to raise your "Cause", which is your resource for casting units and spells. You normally get to play two cards per turn, but can increase the number of actions through different effects. Along the way you'll get to make Leader Decisions which can boost stats and compliment the particular path you have chosen to attain victory. You can also return cards you have previously dedicated and deduct them from your total Cause, which allows for some amazing strategic plays later in the game.

Dedicate cards to your Cause and play events to increase your actions for the turn.
