Death Stranding, the latest creation from game director Hideo Kojima, is coming to Game Pass for PC later this month. If you’re not aware who Hideo Kojima is, he’s the creator of the Metal Gear series and has acted as director for most of these games, before being let go by Konami and founding his own company, Kojima Productions.
Death Stranding is the first game to come from Kojima Productions. It was released in November 2019, initially as a PlayStation exclusive, before coming to Steam in July 2020. The game sees you delivering packages across a post-apocalyptic North America, while trying to avoid the beings that brought said apocalypse.
A Director’s Cut version of the game was released for PS5 in September 2021, and on Steam in March 2022. This version supports ultra-wide monitors, photo mode, high refresh rate, and exclusive content from other franchises. Judging by the press release linked above, this seems to be the version that’ll be available on Game Pass.
If you’re more a fan of Team Blue, the game is also available on PS Plus for Extra subscribers, both in the regular version and the Director’s Cut (the latter isn’t compatible with the PS4). You can see how the two services stack against each other in our dedicated guide.
