Runeterra's Next Balance Patch Will Focus More on Card Nerfs

Published 5 years, 8 months ago by

Legend of Runeterra's Live Design Lead, Steve Rubin, has posted some important information on the upcoming patch.

In a tweet, Steve let the community know that this next balance patch is going to focus more on nerfs to help address potential power creep. Although we don't have a list of changes yet, what cards are you hoping to see on the chopping block?

Quote From Steve Rubin

We're likely focusing more on nerfs than usual for our next patch. It's important to circle back and address power creep that arises from new mechanics, regions, and buff heavy balance changes. Hopefully, we can even out the efficiency over synergy meta!

  • Most likely, a bunch of the offending burst spells will be moved to fast. Probably the easiest and most fair way to do some of the nerfing. Not all of it, but some of it.

The difference between fast and burst is quite large and probably provides a sufficient nerf to some of the problem cards.

  • cards which allows aggro with no champions to win several matches, e.g.

[Hearthstone Card (Crimson curator) Not Found], [Hearthstone Card (Crimson disciple) Not Found], [Hearthstone Card (Imperial demolitionist) Not Found], [Hearthstone Card (boomcrew rookie) Not Found]

  • Some nerfs are needed, burn decks feel a bit too good and Vi/Heimer should have been nerfed already

  • Hopefully some noxus cards. And will of ionia ofc!

  • Take the burn out ffs. I have only played HS due to that crap
