We've got a round of new cards coming in this week's Path of Champions patch and Jayce is one of them! Check out all the new cards arriving down below.
Jayce Joins Runeterra
When you play Jayce, you get to decide if he is going to get a Quick Attack or Challenge keyword. Either way, Jayce retains the same abilities, which interact with 6+ cost spells, and stats.

Jayce level 1 seems decent. Flexible cards tend to see play at some point. However, the 6+ cost spells package... I can't see it being good. It is simply too slow. How will any of them compete with the burn/swarm decks that are seeing play at the moment?
6 mana deal 3 to 2 minions. Great. They'll just 2 more.
Perhaps this package hints nerfs to the current aggro game but even then I can't see this being strong.
Jayce is a flexible 4 mana champion that levels up into a value generator that also supports Lux's gameplay.
I'm now gay for Jayce.
These slow speed spells really don't impress me...I'm not sure how this will be good enough to fix her when none of these new spells are every all that strong. Who wants to play a 6 mana deal 3 to two targets? I feel like the answer is no one.
So Lux got a new partner in crime.
Yes but if this doesn't help Lux, she will probably still not see play. I'm a little dubious myself of Jayce's efficacy. His level up is just Karma's but restricted to 6+ cost spells...doesn't seem great. Though his play/immediate effect is far better than Karma's to say the least so who knows.
Even if Jayce turned to be good I don't see Lux being viable unless they nerf some of the Bandle aggro cards. They are just too oppressive to any form of control.
That much I think we can both 100% agree on
