My prediction is that Galio decks will be good because they synergize well with Poppy and Yordle Smith, and Poppy is still a beast when she gets to apply her buff.
This entire archetype is a fearsome player wet dream.
Gorlith the Unscalable is insane! If your deck has enough healing, he's basically a guaranteed OTK by himself!
Sorry to be the buzzkill here but for a 9 drop he is pretty lackluster. Unless you are playing a control deck games don't reach turn 9 and even then he is so easy to counter, Vengeance, Minimorph, Culling Strike, Will of Ionia and any stun card would do the trick.
He needs a spell shield not tough.
The part that interests me is that his ability is on Summon. An event that is potentially so game-changing and swingy would normally be on Play.
That may not be too important, given that there aren’t a lot of ways to randomly summon a 9-cost unit. Still, it could lead to some big plays.
Yea he looks interesting. In fact more so than Galio himself!
Galio's as interesting as Gorlith, but for Vladimir fans, because the added Rally effect on allies taking damage, which Vlad enables with his own attack, makes for some insane burst potential.
Vladimir/Galio doesn't look like a good pair, Noxus lacks protective spells and you don't want to self damage your formidable units because that would also lower their attack. He will probably work better with either Soraka, Braum or Poppy.
It looks like a very solid fit for Soraka, who really desperately needed another partner option besides Tahm. The biggest problem for the entire archetype, however, is that a 3-mana card, Culling Strike, kills everything in it.
