Legends of Runeterra Gets 44 Card Changes Next Week Including Vayne Buffs and Seraphine Nerfs

Published 3 years, 1 month ago by

It looks like we've got quite the balance patch coming to Legends of Runeterra next week which will bringing 31 Buffs and 13 Nerfs! Riot teased the changes this evening on Twitter, to brighten up everyone's weekend.

Riot has not yet detailed how the buffs and nerfs are going to happen, but they will be released in the full patch notes next Tuesday, November 8. Interestingly, Vayne appears to be getting a buff but her Tumble is getting a nerf, which makes us think Tumble might be getting hit hard if they'll make it up with a buff to Vayne.

Fan not-so-favourite Seraphine is also getting hit with a nerf, which should be quite welcome news to quite a few players who have not been having a great time against her.

Here's all the cards that are being changed (subject to change according to Riot):

We’re hoping this balance adjustment will hit the right note. Full patch notes will be released Tuesday!

  • The nerf / buff targets as usually look very on point.

The Ravenbloom Conservatory never was a problem card to me so reverting the nerf seems right,

Lord Broadmane always has been a cool card the only issues is the rather high cost of him so I would guess he gets buffed by 1 mana or gets a significant stat buff at least.

Nerfing Akshan and Lee Sin is soooo overdue that I ' m glad it finally happened.

Nerfing ritual also is obvious: remove the interaction with overwhelm, making it a removal setup instead of an otk enabler should be the way to go here.

But what's the deal with nerfing me? Does riot really think that overwhelm on lvl 2 was too much? Pathetic.

  • "Vayne Buffs" WHAT?

    • From one of the devs (on Twitter):

"Just as a fair warning, the Vayne (and Gwen) "buffs" are more like "adjustments." Fixing some edge case situations that do technically improve the card, but aren't huge. The Laurent Chevalier buff is the real deal, though!"

So don't be too scared, it shouldn't be much of anything I guess.

    • My guess is that riot is planning to remove the interaction between scout and free attacks (so that scout only works on your turn/actual rallys) while nerfing the mana cost of actual rally cards so that demacia overall gets worse at rallying alltogether.

And if demacia gets worse at rallying Vayne may get buffed in her lvl 2 at least as it's kinda underwhelming that even lvl 2 Vayne doesn't have quick atttack

    • Tumble will be nerfed. That's enough I guess.
